SCAM ALERT*** not licensed hair dressers Ruined my appearance Asked for angles and they are long in the front and get shorter towards the back. He angled them in the complete wrong direction. I look ridiculous and the blend is so bad, really upset. So choppy and uneven. They said that the person that did this was their top senior stylist and I should get over it because my hair would grow back. Update. They originally told me they would refund me. Then called me to say I could get a deep conditioning but they couldn’t refund me. Then they told me I could only get the conditioning if I deleted my review. They basically tried blackmailing me. I had to go to another salon to get it fixed. This haircut ended up costing me hundreds after having to get it fixed and it still looks bad. Sad because I live nearby, but not worth the convenience. Don’t trust!

I got a balayage color & cut done by Mint. Mint truly goes above and beyond to make sure her clients are happy with their hair. She is extremely friendly, very talented & detail oriented! Mint was incredibly accommodating with my schedule, even staying late to make sure my hair was perfect. Overall, I cannot recommend Mint highly enough!

You know when you have this dream of what you want your hair to look like? But when every hairstylist you go to isn’t able to make it happen, it’s disappointing. It was only until I found Randy, she was able to do get me the exact hair color I wanted! She looked at the picture and the color that I wanted, and walked me through what needed to be done in a thorough consultation. Now I’ve been back multiple times and every time she goes above and beyond. Even provides text support in between when I have any hair care questions. Her dedication, service, and knowledge is top-notch. She’s the best hair stylist I’ve found in Jersey City! Service was excellent, I'm new in USA and since moving here, I've been looking for a salon, for getting my hair done, I've tried a couple different salon but found services lacking, Helena at Nulux Salon was excellent!! Not only was her work was on point, she was attentive, polite, and on par. The extra care shown by her to ensure colour doesn't get on my skin was really thoughtful, none of other places I've been, showed that courtesy. A big shout-out to Helena.

I love the refreshing haircut Kelsey gave me. She knew exactly what I wanted and gave me a fresh new look. Will definitely come back again. The nail technician Veronica seamlessly took care of me and gave a fantastic manicure.

So happy to have found an opening with Ivelisse at Nulux while in JC for a wedding. Originally searching for a place to get a blow-out, I decided to get a layered haircut plus elevated style. The manager (owner?) and Ivelisse were very considerate to understand what kind of cut and style I wanted, and Ivelisse took care to style my hair in a way that would endure the humid conditions before the wedding. I walked in on a Saturday afternoon for a manicure. Got it done with Veronica who is AMAZING! Defi getting my nails done with her again. She was patient and did a really great job. Would highly recommend her if you’re in Newport (Jersey City) and looking to get your nails done!

I had a fantastic experience with Mint who did my haircut and color. The stylist understood exactly what I wanted and delivered it flawlessly. Additionally, the shampoo from Anny was amazing – it left my hair feeling silky and refreshed. She was very friendly and did an amazing head massage. I'm thrilled with the results.

The experience is fantastic, and I would love to give more than five stars. I was scared because of my curly hair texture, but Rania did a great job. She listened to my needs and am very happy with the haircut. She and the team were friendly and recommended some products for my hair. Please ask her for Rania if you have long hair. She is the best.

When booking my appointment online, it mentioned that I would be paying $70 for a haircut. I went in only needing a blunt cut trim for my length and for my grown out bangs. While I will say the haircut came out nice and my stylist was pleasant to work with, I wasn't expecting to be charged $80 because I had layers added to the front of my hair. This is disappointing as nowhere did it say $10 extra for layers. I also left with 90% of my hair not blown out. I feel like every salon I've been to, a blow out is included. Instead it would've been $25 extra to blow out my entire head. At this point, I could've gone to another salon in Jersey city who charge $100 for a haircut but at least it's cut however you like (layers included) and styled (blown out and even curled with a curling iron). It would've been nice to know what I actually was paying for instead of being surprised at the counter to pay more money and leaving with my hair not styled and having to do it myself when I got home.

I had an appointment with Jay for a full head of highlights. I asked for a specific technique of thin highlights instead of a balayage and he successfully was able accomplish it. I absolutely love my hair, it’s very well blended and I could not recommend Jay and the rest of the stylist here enough. This was my fist time here and everyone blew me away. Extremely professional and well rounded stylists. AMAZING!!! Thank you Jay!!

An amazing experience getting my haircut and color at this salon! My stylist Peach was so friendly and made me feel comfortable right from the start. She's very talented and judged my hair texture and made some adjustments in the coloring process that made the result much better than my experiences elsewhere. The haircut Peach gave me was great too —I absolutely love how it turned out! The salon had a friendly atmosphere, and the overall service was perfect. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a great haircut with a friendly stylist. I'll definitely be coming back!

It was my first experience with Nulux salon and it was amazing. I came here for a haircut & balayage and i love how my hair turned out. My stylist was Noom and he is a perfectionist in his work. He was very kind and made me very comfortable. He was very attentive and provided excellent consultation throughout the process and excelled in his work. I would definitely recommend this salon.
