Awesome food and well priced. Best chicken over rice in Stamford that I’ve had. It was really popular when I came for lunch so I recommend placing your order ahead or hope you miss the lunch line. There are 2 doors on the building, one goes here and the other goes upstairs to an Indian restaurant by the same name.

New in town and my new favorite place to grab food! P.R, N.D., and Monica have taken such great care of me every time I have walked in. And the food is twice as awesome as the service! Can't recommend enough. P.S. give these people a raise!

It is our go to place for me and my spouse on most days. The food here is good, but this lady at the counter is very stingy when it comes to serving meat size. I took double meat but it was so less compared to other times. Hope they maintain their portion size irrespective of the server.

Love the rice bowl with falafel. The taste ranges from sweet, hot and tangy but perfectly balanced. I added little bit of everything in my bowl and for sauces, I chose hot and bbq and it was perfect! Very reasonably priced at $10.72 with tax. It’s over-priced on grubhub. Note: Cautious with the hot sauce! Service - Great Hardly any place to park outside the restaurant.

It was a Friday night and my friend and I were looking for a place to go get food and drinks. We had not planned for Taj but after our visit we’re making Taj a staple! This restaurant absolutely blew my mind from the ambience to the nice waiters to the amazing tasty food and drinks.. everything was A+++ and to add it’s quiet enough to have conversations. Absolutely loved my experience. Will be a frequent guest 😊

Wish there was a little bit more toppings in the lamb over rice bowl, felt like there was only a little bit of lettuce and pickled onions. Overall meal was pretty salty as well

The girl who was at the counter was the sweetest service worker I had the change to cross for a long time. She treated us with excellence. The food was unbelievable, I used to live in Russia where shawarma is at every corner and haven’t found a similar one anywhere but here. Will come 100% and recommend to everyone. Thank you!

I love Taj for their chicken shawarma. So savory packed with flavor. Their baklava and cheesecake is awesome too. I've been in Stamford for work and Taj is always a preferred stop on my list.

The food at this spot is so good that we ordered from Grubhub the first time and then walked in for takeout. The chicken over rice is just so good. The hummus is really a great pairing with the food & pita.

We order from Taj at least once a week. The food is delicious and the delivery is pretty quick. Our meals are consistent every time we get them and the flavors are phenomenal. Perfect amount of spice!

I tried gyro over rice, chicken shawarma bowls and chicken wrap. All of the above were delicious! They have reasonable prices, large portions and quick preparation time. I will definitely come back for more.

The vindaloo is spicy and tasty. Goat biryani is fire and comes bone in. Prices are modest considering the quality and portions. I think the only thing is that if you order for a party of 4-5 the table quickly becomes super cramped. Strawberry lassi is literally like gogurt and not in a bad way. It was delicious.
