We saw a recommended post about Eatery 19 a few weeks ago and had it on our bucket list. We didn't plan to visit recently since the drive was kind of bad, about 40 mins from Queens. Luckily, we were in the neighborhood and got a chance to try. The decor is humble and simple with family style. The staff is hospitable, friendly and recommended their signature dishes in details. There is a great variety of options on their menu and we really had a hard time making up our decisions. We ended up having Fried Stinky Tofu as our appetizer and Oyster Pancake and a bowl of Braised Beef Noodle Soup as our entrees to dine there. We also ordered Taiwanese Pork Chop and Pickles to go. The food was authentic and delicious, especially the stinky tofu which was well-fried, juicy inside and went perfectly with pickles. We were really satisfied since it’s difficult to have decent Taiwanese dishes now in NYC. We will definitely visit again, but probably in a while due to the distance.

Authentic Taiwanese, we are so lucky to have randomly spotted this place while driving. The servers are nice, the food is great. I usually get the chicken leg or pork bento, which is so good. Butt today we ordered 4 dishes: pepper pork chops, braised tofu, shredded beef w dried tofu and Chinese celery, tofu w loofah. Wow, so grateful we tried some new dishes, everything was so delicious.would recommend. I even got the taiwanese vanilla ice cream in the freezer as we were leaving, it was creamy and the vanilla flavor was perfect.. My husband enjoyed the stinky tofu

Really authentic delicious taiwanese food. My whole family love this restaurant sooo much. I am so glad they opened it in Long Island as there are hundreds of chinese take out restaurants but not many real asian restaurants. To be honest, I think the dish taste even better than those in Flushing. Everything come out hot and yummy.

Wow...this place is a legit Taiwanese restaurant with many Taiwanese specialities like Stinky Tofu, Oyster Omlette, Beef Noodle Soup and Railroad Pork Chop Bento to name a few. We tried total of six dishes and everything was delicious. My friend who was born in Taiwan mentioned that the flavors brought them a truly nostalgic feeling like they were back in Taiwan. I wish I had a bigger stomach to try more dishes.

Gigantic serving portions for home style Taiwanese dishes. Authentic and delicious. Staff were super friendly . They served very decent Taiwanese tea. ( for those who is not familiar with Asian teas, Taiwanese tea is famous and super appetizing and exquisite). There were few Taiwanese restaurants near Queens in NYC, either located in busy food courts or not so clean table with noisy guests all the time . Comparing to them , this one , in the heart of Long Island is very representative and they do have clean tables and nice bathroom for their customers . I ordered the beef noodle soup home . Yummy , savoring feed enough to serve 2 or at least 1.5 person

Very nice addition to the long island Asian eateries~ neighborhood taiwanese restaurant with authentic flavors. The stinky tofu was bomb (reminded me of Taiwan), kongxincai with beef, stirfry intestines, oyster pancake~ all yum! The place also turns into open mike kareoke past 9pm on Friday and Saturday nights. Really nice neighborhood fun, safe vibe~

They truly treat their food with a sense of perfection. I have eaten a lot of stinky tofu and theirs retain #1 best tasting taiwan style stinky tofu I have ever tried. Other dishes like the taiwan style beef stew noodle and oyster pancake are authentic and well done. I have liked every dish we ordered.

Finally we don’t have to drive to Queens for authentic Taiwanese food. Eatery19 is a simple Taiwanese cafe authentic home-style favorites. The portions are generous and it’s hard to not overeat when everything tastes like grandma’s house. The main dishes we tried all had impeccable flavor and freshness. If you’ve always wanted to try actual Chinese home cooking, come here. Family run business with friendly and accommodating staff. Service was fast and on point.

Homestyle Taiwanese food, with pretty big portions and lots of options. I love the popcorn chicken, as well as the beef noodle soup. Both are pretty large and shareable options.
