πŸ‘πŸ‘ Though is started to rain that just added to the scenery. Great trip. Very tranquil. The stop in Glenn Mills was just the right amount of time. If the weather was nicer it would have been nice to enjoy the lunch I packed but we stayed about 20 minutes. People often mention train, ride, time, Mills, Chester, Glen, West, great, station, Santa,

We took the Fall tour on the railroad train the evening before Halloween. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. There is street parking and a private lot just for the train company. The train traveled down the of Philadelphia to West Chester regional line. The views were beautiful and the train car was a blast from the past with original seats, windows, etc. It traveled slow enough to get great photos of the surrounding nature. The experience is very family friendly. The stop at the Glen Mills station was beautiful with a very quaint restaurant & coffee shop to visit. We loved taking photos in front of the lead train car & the stirrings nature. They even have train conductors dressed in Era appropriate uniforms & punched the provided tickets just like a real train. This was a travel back in time and perfect for a date night, family excursion, or even just a solo adventure. We will be using their service again indeed.

This is a really well organized railroad! We had a great time on our "Soldiers and Trains" train ride. It's a 40 minute scenic train ride; then you get to Glen Mills and you have 30 minutes to look around and talk to all the reinactors. The employees are super friendly, too. Loved it! We took the fall foliage ride on October 14 and the weather was amazing! Still one or 2 more weeks for the best fall colors. Definitely recommend it!

Wonderful train ride. And once you find out it's ALL volunteer run, it makes it that more excellent. 1/2 ride, 1/2 break at another station, 1/2 ride back. I wish I would've been more prepared and brought lunch. A volunteer stopped by each group, offered tidbits and offered to take a group picture. Windows were all open. I loved seeing all the greenery, creeks, and even the backs of people's homes! The train see-saws back and forth quite a bit. Volunteer said it's because tracks/rails and train are pretty old, makes sense. Nothing to make you jump out your seat but it's not a smooth ride.

Great family fun! The volunteers were helpful and polite. We chopped down our own Christmas tree for the first time ever and it was such a wonderful experience and awesome just being together for the holiday season.

We’ve been to the West Chester Railroad a few times and always enjoyed our visit. Normal rides they usually allow you to disembark at the old glen mills train station. We were lucky to grab some tickets to the this year’s Tree Train ride in collaboration with Wiggins tree farm.

We had a great time riding the West Chester Railroad for the Santa Express on Sunday. It's a nice ride down to the Glen Mills railroad station with a brief stay there. Rhen we headed back to the West Chester RR station. They had musical folks singing Christmas carols on the train and each car was decorated with Christmas decorations. It was a very nice outing!

Went on the Mother's Day train ride. It was lovely. The train is clean and the staff is friendly. I thought the price is a good value. They stop for 30 minutes in Glen Mills and you can explore their museum and stroll by the Chester Creek. It would be perfect for a quick picnic before riding back to West Chester. I will definitely be back.

We decided to go on Santa’s Train on a whim with no idea how it would go and we loved it! We sat at the back and were the last to see Santa, but because of this we got the most time. The scenery was beautiful and the train was warm. Highly recommend trying to use the restroom right before boarding as there is only one stop with two porta potties. Otherwise, it’s a cute tradition to begin!

Our private charter was a blast, our group of all ages found it enjoyable and the crew very accommodating. Plan to do it again!

Went for a school field trip. No, wait, when it was our time to board the train. The only issue was that the parking lot was not open when we arrived. We had to circle blocks and then walk to the entrance. Once four people were there, they finally opened the lot. Bathrooms are Porta potty

Santa Express was absolutely AWESOME. This really was WAY BETTER than I imagined. They announced at the end that all fees went back into the railroad and everyone working was a volunteer. Absolutely Amazing!! Train ride was great, we were in the first car, parking was pretty easy. Checked in and got tickets from the booth and boarded the train. Santa vists car 1/2 on the way to Glen Mills and 3/4 on the way back to West Chester. Food and drinks were available the whole time. Santa was accompanied by some banjo players and Mrs. Claus.. visiting each and every kid, spending time with them and wishing them Merry Christmas. Very friendly and great experience! Ride back for us was a banjo player and car participation in Christmas Carols. We really had a great time, music and sing a long was a lot of fun and big smiles from the kids. Highly recommended doing this! BUY TICKETS AS SOON AS YOU CAN!!!! SELLS OUT FAST FOR GOOD REASON!
