Super clean, lots of lifeguards on staff, fun for a variety of ages and locals. The hours are 10-5:45 and then afterwards you can still have fun in the sun going into the ocean or playing basketball, ziplining and climbing the jungle gym next door. Plenty of chairs, tables and lounge chairs. Not a bad idea to bring your own as well. No food is allowed, but there are picnic tables around it with plenty of shade. Definitely recommend. Price is a bit hefty, but awesome for a special treat or free with the pool pass.

I go every year since it opened. usally its a fun place and can spend hours their with the kids im a family of 8 i have 6 kids so i usally spend alot of money in the pools . This year we might not be going back. i went on Sunday with family and friends spent close to 300$ just to get in. I was with my daughter by the lil slide when i noticed poop on it and as well as diaper pieces then i noticed that a few kids was wering regular diapers and not tbe water ones wich we all know is not suitable for pools period. I bought all this to the life guards attention and they didn't do anything they didn't clean it nor did they ask the parents witb the kids diaper inside falling everywhere to fix the problem it was soo gross i couldn't stay their. seeing the neglect they showed sunday tells me that tbey dont care wich is really bad they need to care the place needs to be clean and sanitary for kids..i was their for about a hour untill we got sceeved out and had to leave i tried to get my money back wich under the circumstance shouldn't of been a issue but the big lady was rude mean and didn't care so we just left and now we all refuse to spend anymore money with islip pools because of unsanitary conditions. Im a family advocate that work with alot of families and kids with disabilities and ship wreck crove was part of our summer fun day for our families but i dont think i can no longer recommend our families to this place. my 2 youngest kids are sick because of ingesting a lil of that polluted water.. im so upset about this we loved this place but untill those employees get replaced or properly trained on pool maintenance and actually clean it. we and at least 15 other family that im close with won't be returning their. ive tried calling the town and got no response. i did take plenty of pictures of the incident . Next im going to reach out to my friends at news 12 since nobody's cares enough about tbe publics health......keep islip pools clean....if my kids caught something bad we will go legal. We should all boycott the pools until we know for a fact that their will be no more issues like this and their i a proper protocol for these issues pool should have been drained and refilled fir something like that. Human wast can kill you

Fabulous place for kids. So much fun especially during this heat wave. Pricey if you're not a resident but it was worth it to us to beat the heat.

Nice place except for the accommodations. It's kinda of like musical chairs, as son as you get up people are running for your table. Gets a little hectic but good fun for the youngins.

A small but awesome spray park. Lots a fun for kids and adults. I like to get in early to get a table of my choosing. A few yards from the park is a little beach not good to be in but there's sand and a park with slides swings and a children's zip line. There's also a small store with food and drinks. And beer!

My kids (6 & 9) love this place. Easy way to kill 3 to 4 hours and beat the heat. Lifeguards are great with the kids.

I brought my 4.5 and 2 year old there today for the first time and it was awesome!! Very clean, a lifeguard at top and bottom of each big slide, one at the baby slide, several in the water/walking around. Only downside is all the Google search articles say it was anywhere from $12-15 pp for non residents but it was $20. Under 3 is free. Definitely worth the price just wasn't expecting it. There's so much more than just this splash pad but if you have young children and you don't like having them by the beach water, this is perfect for you!! The entire splash pad is fenced in and there are multiple people at the entrance/exit. Definitely felt comfortable if I had to turn my back for a minute and again, the area is super clean. Bathrooms are a different story but that's anywhere public πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

We drove all the way from NY to her and I must admit it was worth it! We can on a Friday close to noon and the park was semi pack but we was still able to get seats. You can bring your own drinks and food in coolers etc…Bathroom is in the park which is good cause the pier bathroom is too far (wish I knew before) the kids had a blast. Price is fair being that you can spend the day here with no one rushing you out. They have a worker that goes around collecting trash which keep the park nice and clean! I would def make this trip again

Absolutely amazing place for small children and even those who are a bit older, but just want to have some fun. People are pleasant, life guards are great with the kids, entry gate staff were friendly. Don't hesitate to go. (Parking was $1 per hour - metered at the marina ) Edit: One thing I need to add is that there are rest rooms that aren't well cleaned/maintained.

Definitely a great place for kids and family days. Does get crowded if you don't start early enough but definitely a fun time and the kids love it, so that's the most important part

Great kiddy park that adults can really enjoy tooπŸ™‚

  • 3/5 Angelina B. 8 months ago on Google β€’ 22 reviews
Good option for little ones but tends to always be overcrowded, and not the cleanest. Rules say no street clothes and lifeguards allow fully dressed adults wearing jeans and jerseys in the sprinkle / slide area but will blow a whistle at someone for eating a snack or drinking a beverage at the tables, including the little ones... πŸ˜† The Town needs to consider lowering the entrance price by getting rid of a few lifeguards. They really take up space by just sitting there blocking the entrance / exit area, and pay no regard to people coming in and out. Sorry but you just don't need to pay salaries to 6 kids sitting under a tent hanging out watching the actual lifeguards on the slide and in the pool work. it's also a waste of money for 4 additional lifeguards to take turns walking around the pool, they are not doing much of anything but having conversations with each other.

I just want to give so much credit and praise to the lifeguards today, 8/24/21, at Shipwreck Cove who saved a little boy’s life. Jimmy and Lauren, you are real life superheros!!! Jimmy saw a little boy right outside the sprinkler park not looking right and realized that he was choking. Jimmy sprung into immediate action administering the Heimlich maneuver. Lauren stood in front of the boy and was talking to the him to keep him as engaged and calm as possible. It was an emotional and scary event to watch. It turns out the little boy was choking on a water bottle cap. Jimmy, with your perseverance, skill and diligence and Lauren with your support and focus you saved someone’s life and are true heros! Fantastic and awesome job!!! Thank you!!! May God bless you always πŸ™πŸ‘πŸ™ŒπŸ’₯βοΈπŸŒŸπŸŽ–πŸ…πŸ€—πŸ˜β€οΈπŸ’—
