Clean, easy to find with a huge sports area--bike track, dek hockey, basketball, baseball, handball, a children's playground, bocce ball tournaments...and the summer nights are full of free entertainment! Throughout the summer this welcoming town park brings in some amazing bands, tribute bands and productions on weekends going back a decade+ (they've had ELO, Blue Oyster Cult, The Zombies, Gin Blossoms, Grand Funk Railroad, Bret Michaels, etc). I recently saw The New York Bee Gees there, and they played songs from every decade of their music. The band includes various present or former members from world renowned bands (such as Meatloaf, Queen, Blue Oyster Cult, etc.) so it's always enjoyable. This time they had Mike Flyntz from RIOT (Music Hall of Fame) on guitar. Day or night, this park is a perfect choice to get away from it all, relaxing and just what you'd picture for a family outing. Thank you, Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino!

This park is nice because there are a couple of different playground areas for different age groups. My 4 year old son always has a nice time here because there are usually other children for him to play with as well. My 10 year old daughter has fun as long we bring a friend or two along.

Great park for kids baseball. Super family friendly. They have a concession stand with hotdogs chicken fingers fries and pretzels for the longer games. They just installed these great new bleechers which are much safer for the little kids who we were always afraid would fall off the back. We come here multiple times a week.

The music was great , there was an adequate amount of restrooms and plenty of public safety people there . The food trucks had good offerings . The shuttle service provided was excellent, it was needed for overflow parking .

Great ballpark. Plenty of parking bathrooms were open which is a big deal for me. And we played under the lights at night and it was great

This park is one of my favorite. As a child, I loved this park. There was always something to do here. This place is so peaceful and special. It is a place that has shaped my life and left me with many wonderful memories. This park is a place I go back to every chance I get. You can also have a picnic with your partner or friends here. If you have the chance to visit this spot, I would definitely recommend it.

Watched my grandson's football game at night under the lights. The field was professionally lit with a scoreboard. Their was an open refreshment stand. Only complaint was there were no nearby rest rooms.

A nice park. Great for exercising. I come here with a friend frequently to go for walks while he jogs. They have alot of team sports that play here as well.

This is one of my favorite parks in the area. The baseball and T-ball fields are top notch. I've taken my kids snapper fishing along the canal. Love this park and its memorial.

As a parent who frequently takes my kids to John J. Burns Park, I can confidently say that this is one of the best parks in the area. The park is always clean and well-maintained, and there are so many activities available for kids of all ages. Whether you're looking to join an organized sports program or just play a pickup game with friends, this park has it all. The abundance of courts available for basketball and handball is also a huge plus, and the fact that the lights are kept on until 11 PM in the summer months means we can keep playing even after the sun goes down. We've also enjoyed attending the free concerts hosted at the park during the summer, which are always a hit. Overall, John J. Burns Park is a fantastic community resource and a great place for families to spend time outdoors. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and active day out with their kids.

Nice park with many fields. The only 90 foot Baseball filed is dirt and grass, but it was in very good condition. Circular design was a bit confusing but otherwise a nice place to play ball.

  • 4/5 kojack L. 3 years ago on Google
It's really a nice park. Places to play tennis, run or a casual walk. You can launch your boat there as well. But be careful driving because people tend to ignore the signs and walk where you drive. Instead of the path where it's made for walking or running. Why I don't know. And then to get mad while your trying to avoid them as your driving through the park. When not for nothing. You shouldn't be walking there anyway. I guess they can't read. Or simply don't care about there safety or the safety of others. Otherwise it's a nice place to visit.

Awesome park with plenty of turf fields for game play. There's also tennis courts and handball courts. Nice to be down near the water. There's also a nice path on the inside with no cars that will circle the entire park. There are some playgrounds as well. Very nice park!
