My first visit with this location went great back in the summer/fall of 2020. I am currently trying to make a follow up appointment, your “book online” feature is not working, I have tried to use it on several devices as well as browsers to no avail. For the past week I have called every morning and sat on hold for as long as an hour before I inevitably have to hang up. Please answer your calls. I am no longer going to book an appointment and just walk-in. I hate to say it because my first visit went so smoothly, but this is ridiculous. Also, when sitting on hold there is a prompt that says “press 8 to leave a voicemail and someone will get back to you” when I press 8 nothing happens and I remain on hold, figured I’d throw that in here as well.

This is now my second visit here. My appointment was for 6:15pm, it’s now 7:20pm and I’m still in the waiting room. My appointment the other day I also waited for an hour and a half to be seen. Clearly, you cannot see this many patients a day. It is not right to make an appointment for someone and have them sit in a FULL WAITING ROOM DURING COVID. And your front desk lady just pulled a patient in that sat down after me!

I would not recommend coming here or dealing with the West islip facility, or even the entire Suffolk County regional facilities. It takes hours for someone from the patient relation center to answer their phone. I’ve asked multiple times myself and I’ve asked the Nassau County regional offices to help me get these people to send over my medical records. It’s been over a year and still NO BODY has sent over records. Nassau county offices has worked with me throughout the entire time regardless of West Islip still not sending over my records but enough is enough! I need my records sent over to Nassau so they can have my appropriate up to date medical screenings. No one from West Islip reaches out, my number hasn’t changed for over 8 years, no ones left messages or no one attempted to send anything. The last time I visit the West islip office one of the nurses were unprofessional in her statements when she was taking my blood, I’ve just never complained about it. But today when speaking with Denise at the patient relation center, when I was expressing to her how frustrating this whole process has been, she just spoke to me as if she was “trying” to calm me down but I wasn’t yelling I was asking if I were going to get a call back today, she couldn’t give me a straight answer and when I asked her for the managers name who was going to call me, she couldn’t give me an answer. Which is ridiculous, because when ever I asked who to call or who to ask for with the Nassau facility they’re more than happy to provide me with that information and guide me in the right direction. I cannot get any medical attention nor medicine because west islip has been holding me up for over the years and quite honestly I personally do not want to get any shots or anything more than I need too if not necessary. My health is first and during these times I am not risking my health. But west islip doesn’t seem to care.

My experience with my procedure went well . The staff here is very friendly and informative. Answered every question I had . However their not accurate with the bloodwork. I had gotten blood work done on my follow-up appointment. I didn’t recieve a call on my blood results until I called first to ask . The RN that called me back on my follow up results told me I needed to go to the emergency room immediately due to my blood work. She said it was fatal . I was in emotional distress after receiving that call I went to the emergency room with a family member. The attending physician ran some test and took my blood again . They said there was no need for me to come in that night . Everything looked normal and my levels were where they needed to be after my procedure at planned parenthood. They confirmed my results were non fatal as the rn over at planned parenthood claimed I was in a fatal situation. The blood was clearly inaccurate and was too early to be taken after my procedure. The labor and delivery physician at the hospital even stated the clinic took my blood too early to rule anything out. My blood was supposed to be taken 2 weeks after the procedure to measure my levels. Not 2 days. So reading off of a 2 day blood sample very fresh from the procedure , was inaccurate and very emotionally distressing. My readings from the hospital were much lower at that point then what the RN at pph gave me over the phone.

I genuinely wish I could give this place 10 stars, everyone was polite and professional, the doctor explained everything she was doing and made me feel very comfortable. Planned Parenthood is a busy organization but if you stick out waiting for someone to answer the phone, make an appointment here! I will always use this location for me gyno needs!

I attended this business for a procedure on 03/20 I did not provide insurance information and payed for everything out of pocket. A couple of weeks later I started receiving letters from lab Corp stating I had not payed for exams the doctor requested, I contacted planned parenthood and they told me to bring the bills to the office and they would resolve the issue for me, I did come to the office several times 6 x to be exact and they never resolved the issue for me. Now I am being contacted by a collection agency on behalf of lab Corp requesting payment. I explained everything was payed for to planned parenthood and they should’ve provided payment . Not only that but the exams requested by planned parenthood were not part of the procedure I attended this clinic for. Now my credit report is being affected for their lack of follow up with their patients. I have called them several times through out this year and all they tell me is I will be getting a call back but they never did . The most horrible customer service I have dealt with this is not a way to treat your patients

Very nice workers nice clean establishment was really quick in and out. Results come by fast they call when it’s ready and remind u about the Portal you signed up on even though you also get an email so they are very on top of their job which is a big deal!

Entire facility has been remodeled and looks clean and modern. Everyone from the front desk staff to the doctor who treated me were kind and helpful. Wait time wasn’t long.

My experience went well, came on a Thursday at 6 and was seen nearly immediately. The staff is very kind and understanding about patient's concerns. I recommend this Planned Parenthood as they stay true to their mission and deliver great care!

The receptionist was rude.. i was getting a sonogram and could not bring my husband in. Sickening how the rules are in this place when my husband couldn't even come in the room with me, my appointment was Friday morning. Unbelievable the service here.

Nobody answers the phone. Called three times and nothing. Website doesn’t let you make an appointment either. Why even be open if you operate like this ???

By far the greatest PP I have ever been to. I got an IUD placement and first month check up done here, and the doctor was so professional and attentive. I waited maybe 15 minutes if even, for my 1015 AM appt, which for an office is like light speed imo. And the staff! Oh my goodness I love all the girls there! They are so welcoming, caring and kind. They really make it a point to make sure you’re comfortable and all your questions are answered. A few days after my IUD I had gotten myself worked up and called the office 10 minutes before their closing time, and the girl who answered the phone didn’t make me feel rushed or like a bother at all. She took the time to assure me everything was normal and by the time it was 20 minutes AFTER the closing time, all my questions were answered and my mind was at ease. I highly suggest this office to any woman who needs a little more care and comfort when going to their lady appts!

I waited 3 hours to be seen. I came in at 5p.m and left at 9p.m ,there was no other patients there so that’s not understandable. Then after my appointment I called so I could speak to the doctor that atended me that day because it was an emergency, I have waited 3 days for a call back and nobody has called me back yet. Now I will be going to the hospital. This was the worst experience ever.

Everytime i come for any routine check up everyone is so professional and kind. My last nurse assistant Alva was SUCH. A pleasure. Highly recommend

Had a telehealth visit on 9/20 with Libby Brubaker at 2:15pm. Never showed up, waited for 40mins. So unprofessional. Tried calling office 3x and no one ever picks up. This location is likely closed.
