The staff here are all very friendly and helpful, BUT... the equipment is in a constant state disrepair. I have been going to this gym for months and the same machines have been broken since my first day. I told management and they say that the corporate office is responsible. I scratched my arms on torn cushions several and STILL they have not fixed it. Because there are so many machines down it become difficult to get a good workout when there are a lot of people in the gym considering there are so many broken machines. I don’t understand why they would not fix it unless they just don’t want to spend the money to make members happy. Update 3/31/2023 Minor repairs have been made and most of the upholstery is repared. But broken machines are STILL just sitting there. The whole gym only has 4 ab machines, and two of them are broken. One of the broken ones has been that way for over 7 months now, and the other for three months. Is LA Fitness hard pressed to replace just two machines? Very sad.

Out of all the LA Fitnesses I’ve ever been to this one is by far the best one! The gym is well kept, the bathrooms are clean, the workout areas are clean, the pool is clean and everyone is respectful at all times. There’s a great vibe as The employees are very in tune with their members. the Director of Fitness James is always visible and is constantly bending over backwards to help the members by answering any questions or even showing them how to use certain machines as well as exercises! I haven’t seen guest relations like this in a very long time. If you’re looking to make a switch , i highly recommend this gym! Oh and there’s always a ton of parking!!

First time here and I absolutely loved it!! Great customer service, the entire gym was very clean, spacious and great atmosphere. The women’s locker room was extremely clean, mirrors everywhere, showers, as well as an entrance to the pool through the locker room which I loved. I also love how they offer day care for the kids! Major plus for me. I have no complaints and I’m so excited to return back.

Lots of treadmills and exercise bikes. Free weight and weight machine areas are large, but usually fairly crowded. Best feature is the Junior Olympic sized swimming pool. The North Babylon location also has a basketball court, as well as a spin room.

This gym is no longer the same! It has declined dramatically when it comes to customer service. All members get punished for a few members actions. The manager there is rude and is not willing to talk to you about any of the ongoing issues. I am looking for another gym!!!

I am very impressed with the customer service and friendly staff. As soon as I walked in . I was greeted with a smile and that’s rare now days . I had a great workout . Weights were in order and club is clean . When I was leaving the front desk asked about my work out and that made me feel special . Can’t wait to come back tomorrow!!!!

I don’t know who’s supervising this gym and who’s supervising the management, for the way it looks now, this gym needs new people who really knows how to run one , little by little, all the equipment is becoming out of service, for example this one in the photo it’s been out of service since the beginning of summer 2022. Come on LA Fitness Step up to the same level of your Membership, I rather go to the Bay Shore location now.

Please remove the annual fee of $49.00. I've been a member of LA Fitness for a few months now and I'm thoroughly impressed! The facilities are always clean and well-maintained, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the variety of equipment and classes keeps my workouts interesting. Plus, the convenient hours and locations make it easy to fit a basketball workout into my busy schedule. Highly recommend!

After an injury 10 years ago, I have been looking for a new facility to train in. I feel like a beginner but I’m not, so I took a trial membership. I was greeted by a well dressed and in shape staff.. and friendly at that. I didn’t feel the sales pressure of other gyms I visited. Chris, who gave my tour of the gym, showed me all the equipment, which was spotless at a time where spotless and clean is important, very important. I walked out wo that pressure of “join now”, instead left w the impression that there is no reason to join another gym. Chris also explained the personal trainer packages , which I may now need after a long layoff. I never thought I would need or spend on a trainer, but it is nice to see people in shape, training people into shape… at a reasonable price. There really is no reason to look further. I have tried other places. Whether you are a beginner or advanced as I was, this facility has everything for every need, and a well run staff that will help you with your fitness goals. After 10 years I know I will be happy here, and comfortable with all this updated equipment. The staff is always around for questions .. don’t go anywhere else.

Farmingdale facility is the worst gym I've ever been to. I would never utilize this location if it were not for the raquetball facilities. Lockers and showers are filthy, equipment old, and filthy. the only thing the janitor does is sweep and mop floors. Every soap dispenser and at least 1/4 of the showers are inoperable! Total disgrace

Been here a few times. I’ve witnessed GROWN adults use equipment and not think twice about putting it back properly. If you want COVID come here. This place is filthy. Walked in 5am during the week and the trash bins were full of wipes that are used to wipe machines down. With COVID making it’s rounds again this place needs to be cleaned day and night. I definitely called corporate and made a compliant. Several machines are not able to be used and the gym etiquette is absolutely ridiculous, it’s non existent. People do not treat this place well which is sad such a nice gym. They need to set a culture here. Weights are all over the gym cannot find what you need in pairs because well….they are in the damn locker rooms! Absolutely unacceptable!

Terrible Gym. Staff if terrible, only good staff there is the janitor. Guy works extremely hard. Anyone posting positively about this gym is a fake account or the gym posting it themselves.

Been coming here for a few years now. This gym was never known for its organization or cleanliness, but I could always make due by keeping things moving, allotting more time to find weights and detachable pieces of equipment, and scrub my body after leaving. However, I continue to watch this gym decline. More disorganization, more equipment in disrepair, and more watered down soap. Each gym session brings with it a frantic search for an open piece of equipment that is functioning well, coupled with having to beg, borrow, and barter to get the necessary attachment, as there is a wanton shortage of handles, ropes, bars, etc. Coming to terms with having to drive farther away just to get to an LA with operational equipment.

As a former fitness competitor I had a thing against working out at LA Fitness, but after coming to this location I had a sudden change of heart. I love absolutely everything about this LA Fitness location! The trainers are courteous and experienced, the gym is clean and ALL of the machines are in working order. The customer service is top notch as James the fitness director and his team are always ready, willing and able to address any questions, comments or concerns you may have. If you're looking for a new gym and you're in the area be sure to stop in and see for yourself, You'll be glad you did!

THE BEST LA FITNESS IN THE AREA! Where do I begin? This gym scores thumbs up on all counts. The staff is friendly, courteous, professional, and dedicated towards all the members. The gym is spotlessly clean! Every one of the staff makes sure that the members feel safe, welcome, and comfortable in the environment. A good gym is more than just a place to feel healthy from working out. A good gym makes you want to come back because the vibe is healthy and welcoming. That is this gym on all counts.

Gym is awesome. By far my favorite in the area. All the equipment i need and more. Great energy but also never overly crowded.

I’ve been to about 5 locations and I can say that the North Babylon location is the cleanest and most well-maintained one that I have been too! The equipment is pretty new and all functional and I even see members walking around periodically to re-rack the weights!

Kerry does the best spin classes Monday and Wednesday mornings! Staff is nice & Joe (gm) always willing to help with an issue..The gym is always clean too!

This is my favorite LA fitness location by far! It is so clean and the facility just gives off good vibes! Despite not having a sauna, the amenities are plenty otherwise. The manager Jimmy is awesome and extremely knowledgeable on the services. I'm a north bab LA Fitness customer for life now!

If I can Give this place 0 stars I would, they don’t care about your situation even if you need to cancel for legitimate reasons. They pretty much just stole $120 something dollars from me because they charge a first and last month. The General Manager was definitely no help either did not help and said that he’s the higher up and I can’t speak to anyone other than him about the situation. He also said if I would have called just a few days before I would have gotten the refund. Horrible way they treat there customers I’m very happy I canceled and I did call the corporate office just waiting on the refund to show on my account

I’ll keep it nice and short. Clean gym, great staff from the front desk to the managers (Justin and Jimmy). They will go beyond expectations from account servicing to even a tip or two on achieving your goals. Great Job guys!

Cleanest gym I’ve ever been to. All the equipment is organized and available when you need it. The manager Jimmy was really nice and helpful. Definitely made me feel welcomed and even helped me use some of the machines ! Great place to workout

The staff here is incredibly friendly and charismatic. Joseph, especially, is always checking in and making sure the members are happy. This facility is exceptionally clean, and the pool/basketball court/ yoga studio/ classes in addition to the various exercise equipment here make each workout versatile in a safe, welcoming environment.

I highly recommend the North Babylon location. The entire staff is friendly from the the moment you check-in to the cleaning staff. I recently meet the new manager Joseph, who is very personable and professional. Since he started I’ve noticed that the gym has become cleaner and more organized. Keep up the Good work Joseph!

Just had a consultation with training Joe. The most knowledgeable trainer ever.He sat down with me and explained everything so patiently. We talked about a diet plan and fitness plan that would benefit me specifically. Thank you Joe for giving me a very positive experience.

Really like this gym. Everyone is very nice from front desk to the GM Joseph. I signed up with Matt for training and he’s been awesome. He’s extremely personable and knows his business. He’s probably one of the best trainers I’ve had. Overall, I enjoy coming here.

Absolutely love this gym, specifically this location! I pass two other locations on my way to this one and it is worth it. The staff is so welcoming when you walk through the doors. The general manager, Joseph is the best and makes an effort to get to know everyone. And most importantly, I can actually find the weights I need when working out without any issues... this is so appreciated.

Let me just say, I have been to many gyms in my day but nothing comes close to the stellar and outstanding experience that I had at this LA Fitness location. Aside from being friendly and welcoming, this club is an extremely clean and hygienic environment. You’ll see from first entering the club, their staff is second to none. I want to mention specifically, the club’s manager Chris, and how much of a pleasure it was to sign up with him. Couldn’t think of better person representing the company! An extremely thoughtful, and amicable person with hilarious conversation- one of a kind!!! Thank you Chris!!

The vibe is chill. Lots of regulars come here, working out multiple times a week. It is usually clean because everybody wipes down the machines and re-racks the weights after use. The staff is friendly, chit-chatting with the regulars. This is an Amazon Hub destination. You can pick up your packages here. It is located right across from the TV lounge. This is the only club that I know of that has a TV lounge where you can sit and relax. The only downside is that the club does not open as early on weekends as many of their nearby competitors, e.g. Planet Fitness, Blink Fitness.

Signed up a little while ago. It’s a great gym with a lot of friendly people and staff. The staff is always welcoming and the manager Joe is a big hearted person that cares for everyone in the gym. Always great at LA fitness!

Great gym, I come here with a couple of my boys to work out over the week. The staff is awesome and the manager joe is such a nice guy. He’s always happy to help and tour around or even go for a work out.
