A good Italian bakery has a unique smell. A sweet symphony of butter, vanilla and almond oil. That’s the first thing that greets you upon entering. The second is how spotlessly clean the place is. Next is the outstanding quality of their product. It’s hard to make a decision when you want everything. They have a variety of pastries, cookies, cakes, bread, and so on Cranberry muffin was rich, not too sweet and loaded with plump cranberries. Brownie was an old school recipe made with walnuts, bitter chocolate, and butter instead of cocoa powder. The best I’ve had since forever. A classic almond horn dipped in quality dark chocolate, and a melt in your mouth apple tart with butterscotch aftertaste made a perfect score. Very happy I stumbled upon Mario’s. I’ll be stumbling back.

Well it's cute and a decent selection of goodies. Now, I am a baker and so is my cousin and neither of us would visit this bakery again. First offense: a custard fruit tart. Don't buy it. It's not custard. It's not even cooked. We both think it's instant. Definitely no egg yolks in it. It's not even a vanilla pudding, nor a pastry cream. Actually it's very plain, flavorless, and slightly gritty. Honestly, we can't place what the filling is. And surprise.. It also has a chocolate layer over the crust under the custard. (Whyyy???) My cousin also suspects the crust is a cookie dough instead of a tart pastry dough. 5 of us were super disappointed on this one. I also was craving a sponge strawberry jelly roll. Skip that one also unless you like jelly by the cupful. Ratios are off. The smear of jelly is in excessive blobs. Also, I am not sure why trays of baked goods were out on the counters while staff was walking back and forth past them where hair could easily fall upon them. So that being said, Italian cookies were standard. Breads and other goodies might be ok here, but I won't be back to find out. Personally, I like a bakery that is consistent across the board.

Been wanting to visit for quite some time and finally stopped in for a small box of cookies. They were simply amazing. The ricotta cookies were absolutely the best I have ever had. The lemon drop cookies were also outstanding. Great lemon taste without that thick sugary layer of icing too many have. I will most definitely be back to try some other items as soon as possible.

This is a very good pasticceria. My family and I recently discovered this place, and it's become one of our favorites. Whenever we're in Babylon, we make it a point to go there. The bakery items are excellent, and theirs soups and Italian bread are fantastic! Best of all, it's a family run business, which you seldom see nowadays. Mom, dad, son all work there.

Outstanding! Besides the wonder tasting fresh baked goods, the hospitality smiles of the family here makes you feel at home Old school Like the. Brooklyn bakery of old. Make me miss my mom and Nana as the flavor of the baked goods have that taste that other commercial items just can't touch.

My dad loves fruit tart cakes and they are very hard to find. I called this place on Father’s Day to try my luck and they said they could make it fresh for me and had it ready in half an hour. The people there are very kind and attentive and it is obvious to see that they want to give their customers a great experience. Their place is very clean and they have a lot of great other bakery treats. Overall 10/10 experience and will be coming here for future cakes and desserts!! It’s 25 minutes away from me but totally worth it nonetheless.

We’ve been going to Marios Bakery for 7 years now since our first granddaughter Jolie went to the alphabet nursery school across the street. Gabriella & her son are always aiming to please each & every customer. All bakery products are fresh & so delicious! I can’t say enough about how good everything is!! Reasonably priced too!! I’ll be back again next week! Thank you!! ♥️

This place is the best bakery I’ve been to in 50 years. I live 25 minutes away and drive past 3 others. I don’t understand how someone could have a bad experience here, much less how someone who supposedly did would waste their time bothering to write something negative. Just don’t go back and forget about rescuing the rest of us. A sad person who would be so unhappy in their own life that they hope to hurt a person who dedicates their life to working in their own business

Mario’s blew me out of the water. I tried them yesterday for the first time after living in Babylon for 4 months and WOW I wish I would have walked in sooner. They’re mini pastries were perfectly delicate and unmatched in flavor. You can taste the quality of the ingredients and the selection is superb. It’s one of those places that stays on your mind until you taste it again. 11/10 would recommend- forget about ice cream for dessert GO HERE INSTEAD.

This is my absolute favorite place for all my Italian pastries! It's like stepping into a warm embrace and being transported back to the bakeries of my childhood. I can't get enough of the cozy atmosphere and the delicious treats they serve. It's truly a gem that brings me so much joy and comfort!

What a great addition to Babylon Village! This Bakery has beautiful, delicious products. The Irish soda bread and st. Joseph's pastries were fantastic! The mini cakes are a terrific idea when you just can't decide what cake you want. There is parking in the back, connected to the Cooper Street parking lot. The staff are all very warm and friendly. Would definitely recommend

So after my doughology order we ran here for cakes. I’ve never been here. The atmosphere is small town charming. Decorated so nice for Christmas! I got a chocolate/chocolate cake. Pricing was expected in bakeries. They put a lot of care in the baking. The staff were so sweet and fun. They were crowded, worth the wait! Def would go again!

Iced Halloween cookies were ok but also got a $17 cherry pie. It was very small (shallow) and filled with store bought cherry pie filling, horrible! We also got a lobster claw which was soggy.

Very nice pastries for Christmas Eve. Cannolis are delicious, so are sfogliatelli. In Babylon Village, would recommend.

I have been going to this bakery since they were located in West Babylon. Their bread, baked goods and soups are Delish.

Stopped in to pick up cookies for a local customer of mine. When I told my customer where I picked up the cookies he got super excited(apparently he knows the bakery well)! It was beautiful and the staff was SUPER friendly. Everything looked incredible. Cannot wait to go back!

This family is from the Italian Bakery on Little East Neck Rd. in North Babylon with the fountain sculpture outside. They make fabulous breads, cakes, cookies and especially the Italian specialty pastries. Love this place, it’s just a little hard to access unless you’re coming from Cooper Street as there is only maybe one front of store parking spot, but it’s worth the walk!!

I ordered a cannoli cake for my daughter, it was incredibly delicious!! The filling was delicious with such a delicate flavor, not overly sweet at all. My husband and I have bought their lobster tails, crème brûlée, croissants and cookies. The owners and staff are very nice and helpful, the bakery is spotless and the most wonderful smell greets you as you enter the door. This is definitely our new favorite bakery.
