Ordered a cake and the rule was that we couldn’t order without paying. Ok, no problem. Payment given. I showed up to pick up my cake today and the person at the desk (Ashley) charged my husband for the cake. He paid and I returned to let her know I had already paid. We took our cake and proceeded to our party next door only to have Ashley come INTO the event to ask me to step back next door. I went back and after a meaningless disclaimer, she asks to SEE MY BANK STATEMENT to verify payment. So while my child’s party is in progress, I’m next door searching bank statements to verify what I had already known. The policy is that one must pay upon ordering (or was that just for me?), yet the nincompoop who took my order circled “not paid” on the form, resulting in a complete waste of my time and total inconvenience. When I finally found the deduction, I got a lame apology. To make matters worse, the cake wasn’t even good 🙄. I wish they had a more Professional approach to problem-solving. They owe us a sincere apology for overcharging us AND the inconvenience of disrupting our party to resolve an issue THEY CREATED.

Got a custom cake for birthday but really disappointed in how dry the cake was. It felt like it was stale and sitting in the freezer for a long time.

We got the pretzel croissant sandwiches which some coffee - both were great. My personal favorite was the oatmeal cookie. The outside is unassuming but this is a great place. The staff was also quite friendly and helpful while we struggled to decide. Look forward to going back to try more of their pastries !

Emilia’s Bakehouse is absolutely amazing. I’ve been lucky enough to have them participate in our special life occasions such as our wedding, gender reveal, and Huntington Hospital delivery team gifts. 2021 was quite the eventful year and Emilia’s was there every step of the way with their taste delights!

A quaint local bakery with friendly service, lots of pastries, breads, and an assortment of sandwiches, coffee and teas. The interior is decorate with lots of cutsey wooden coffee-related signs that you’ll often find in Homegoods. There’s two tables that invite you to sit down and enjoy your purchase, but the restroom is off limits to customers (unless you ask). They offer free WiFi, but again you have to ask. Strangely there’s no visible garbage can. It’s like they want you to give you that at-home feel, but don’t stay too long. Yes I’ll return, but I’ll keep the visit brief. Every other customer that I observed got their items to go. If you’re in the mood to sit down and work from your laptop you’ll probably want to go elsewhere.

The desserts here are stunning! I wish I lived closer, because I'd be coming every day. Some of my friends live nearby, and every time I visit them they've bought so many goodies from here! Love them so much, and their cheesecake, strawberry shortcake, and chocolate cake are all- around favorites with anyone who tries it!

Stopped in to the bakery once again and not only was I pleased with how beautiful it looked inside, but I was greeted by the owners pup! Who is not only friendly to me, but to the rest of the clientele. Michael came over to make sure everything was going well and I ended up walking out with at least one of everything haha including The cheesecake (which is phenomenal) Half a dozen raspberry Rugelach pastries and empanadas! I brought the Brooklyn Blackout cake to a dinner party and everyone raved about it. Omg sooo good!

We ordered a bunch different types of pastries including empanadas and they were excellent! Especially the croissants, both pretzel croissant and the regular plain one were sooooo buttery. Their coffee also was surprisingly good - was not typical watery bakery coffee. My husband ordered a cold brew (yes! they have cold brew!!!) and I ordered a hot coffee and they were dark and rich just the way we like our coffee. we were both saying “who needs Starbucks???” If you are in the area, you must try!

inconsistent inventory, frequently stale items, rarely have what you want. not particularly well run. the Northport location is even worse. they never have anything. when they do, it's often stale. have also had multiple issues receiving correct orders. as good as the stuff is when it is fresh and available, it is rarely fresh and often unavailable. this has been my experience.

I wanted to like it. First impressions do matter. This is a place I have driven past numerous times and have always wanted to try. Today I had a reason to visit. Fiance wanted a slice of cake so we went to Emilia's. She ordered a slice of carrot cake and since we were already there I ordered a chocolate chip cookie and an empanada. The cookie and empanada were delicious. Fiance took first bite of cake and realized it was stale. While she was deciding if she would suffer through the stale cake realized it was also covered in Mold. The staff were apologetic and instantly replaced the slice, but after having already taken a bite of Moldy cake she was no longer willing to eat cake. The cookie and empanada were delicious but moldy cake will mean we will not be repeat patrons. We are a lost cause for patronage but I hope the bakery institutes a "dating"/"best by" practice to ensure they don't sell additional moldy cake.

Finally! A delightful bakery with an assortment of delicious bakes! Oh how I loved the cheesecake, amazing rainbow cookies, cheese danish, fresh croissants. Can’t wait to return to the black and white cookies and really fresh bread.

Great bakery. Cakes are great, the cookies are great, staff is very friendly, owner very friendly as well. They also have a wide variety of other interesting items and everything is fantastic. Prices are very fair too. Highly recommended!

I visited Emilia's Bakehouse for the first time this past weekend and bought 1 large pretzel croissant and 1 smaller pretzel croissant. (Shout out donutdivany for posting about Emilia's)! Both croissants were delicious! I will definitely be returning. :)

Come for the custom cakes stay for the empanadas and leave with more of them! I absolutely love Emilia’s Bakery we have ordered bread from them for Thanksgiving and we also loved the Cheesecake, seriously is so authentic Long Island Style and delicious moreover fresh. I had the best experience ordering a custom cake from them.

Very nice bakery with croissants, bread, quiche, teas, coffees, Italian ice, etc. The staff is very nice, and the food is reasonable in price. There are only two seats, so it really is a "to-go" bakery. I will definitely be back. I ordered the cheese danish and a spicy cinnamon tea.

Decided to give this place a try after passing it so many times on my way to work. What a pleasant surprise! Such a warm atmosphere with a delectable selection of items to pick from! The muffins, paired with their coffee is a slam-dunk! Brought home some of their empanadas and they were a huge hit with my picky-eater kids! Highly recommend you try this place out.

Cute little bakery with lots of variety. I was craving almond croissant and it's not commonly found in coffee shops (always the plain or the chocolate one), so I was really looking forward and I found so much good stuff here. The empanadas, scones and croissants were all so good!!! A must visit. And the girl who worked there was super sweet.

The best bakery I've ever been to on Long Island. Everything is always extremely fresh. They don't use any margarine here, only real butter.

Went there and got a variety of cookies for a party. Was a little surprised with the cost (very high). But that would be OK. Unfortunately i was pretty disappointed with the quality of the cookies: my principal critic is related to all the fillings, they were way too sweet and those that were fruity did not have that much of a fruit flavor; so as the chocolate. I’d say, if you make your own filling or jam, please use less sugar and more fruits, we want a punch in our face when we get apricot, or raspberry or strawberry with fruit and not so much with sugar. Will try more stuff later and revisit my review.

Relatively new to the area, so I've been all around trying various coffee and bakery places. BY FAR Emilia's is the BEST. The baked goods are always fresh and only the best ingredients. Try a cheese danish - will change your life. The coffee is made with a professional cappuccino/expresso machine and they have all the choices you could want for flavors and milk varieties. I don't normally write reviews, but this shop and its wonderful friendly staff deserve all 5 stars and then some. Thanks for always helping me start my day off right!

Always drove by Emelia's on way to mall but decided to drop in today and glad I did. Great people and great food. Chocolate chip cookies to die for and lemonade best ever. New favorite bakery.

We just moved our offices to Melville this week and today we tried Emilia's Bakehouse on Walt Whitman Road. We got a variety of mini pretzel croissant sandwiches, some cupcakes and jelly donuts. The sandwiches were fabulous, so fabulous I had to give them a call and thank them. The baked goods were yummy as well. Highly recommend.

Such a cute bakery! Great staff! Only thing I wasnt a fan of was that I got an almond croissant without any filling, but they’re choc chip cookies were so yum and they’re a great place to check out! Good location and good selection! Yum for sure

UNRELIABLE, DO NOT USE FOR PARTY OR CAKES This was my experience at this "bakery". A week before my daughters 3rd birthday I ordered a blue birthday cake with the pink fong character (from the baby shark show) and provided a picture to the woman taking my order. She also also took my cookie order for 1 2lb platter of rainbow cookies and 1 2lb platter of colorful sprinkle cookies. She told me Leena would call to review the order because she is not in on weekends. Leena never called so I called her the day before the party to confirm the order. I reviewed the order with her and she said she got it and the cake and cookies would be ready for pick up in Melville at 8 AM. My daughters party started at 9:30AM at her gymnastics school. Day of the party, my husband goes to pick up the cake and cookies at 8 AM and it wasn't ready or even at the store. They said they were busy serving breakfast and the Northport shop is the one that bakes the cakes and they would drive the cake from Northport and deliver to my house by 8:30AM. The cake arrived as we were leaving for the party at 9 AM, it was dropped off by a man in his private vehicle, from his trunk. When we saw the cookies come out we immediately knew he must have grabbed the wrong platters, these were bread cookies with no color. He pulled away before we could even say a word, so I checked the cake. It was a cake with the Mommy character on it and not entirely the writing we asked for. I immediately contacted the bakery and asked them to pick it up and deliver the correct order to the gymnastics studio. The woman informed me that there are no bakers at either shop on the weekend and there was nothing she could do, she's busy. The bakery still charged me $70 for the wrong order. I have called and left 2 messages for Leena but it seems she is never at the store. I am still waiting on a call back, but I won't be holding my breath. DO NOT USE THIS BAKERY!!!!!!

I would of given a 4 star but I ordered cookies to be placed in individual bags and when I picked up my order the cookies were not in bags. I brought it to the employees attention, she advised me the boss forgot to write it down on my order and that she had no time to complete the order now, and I would need to come back in 3 hours. I explained I ordered for 8am pickup and I could not return at a later time. The resolution was she gave me the bags and stickers and said I would need to do myself. I was charged 24 dollars but she only refunded me $20 and that was the best she can do. It was my first time and last time at this bakery.

Everything was really good! Excellent quality, you can taste the butter and no waxy mouth feel of cheap shortening--yay! We had the pretzel croissants, tender and a bit chewy and I love that they weren't over salted! The cheesecake was so good, smooth and creamy and just melt in your mouth delicious! The chocolate cake was a real chocolate lover's dream, very rich and indulgent. The chocolate chip scone was EXCELLENT. I love a scone but it's hard to find a good one, they're either hard as a rock or taste like cardboard. These scones were textbook perfect, crunchy on the outside and tender and flakey on the inside. They were not overly sweet either... a nice handful of chocolate chips and a generous sprinkle of sugar crystals on top made for a great balance! I ate mine with coffee and was licking my finger tip to collect the crumbs from my plate... high praise for that! Can't wait to try their other baked goods, keep up the good work!

Emilia’s Bakehouse is A1! We had tried it for the first time last week. We did not know which cake or pastries to get for a birthday celebration- they all looked amazing. The staff was so helpful. Noel was so kind. We ended up getting a slice of four different cakes: carrot cake, blackout cake, strawberry shortcake and chocolate mousse cake. All yummy. We couldn’t wait to share them with friends and family. Oh - and the brownies and pretzel croissants are so delicious too. This is a must try bakery!

If the food at Emilia’s bakehouse is as good as it looks, it must be fantastic. Unfortunately I cannot confirm this observation as it was impossible for me to get served. It was not busy. There was one other person on line, but the girl behind the counter was FAR to busy sharing her experience with Covid (to the person she had already served) to bother. She saw me waiting. She looked me in the eyes several times as she continued her conversation, but didn’t bother to acknowledge me until I was fed up and walking out the door. I don’t care how good your food is, when your service is garbage. Keep talking.
