Nice little community spot to run to for a bite or drink with friends. A little on the noisy side, but the overall atmosphere was good and the service. Food was just ok. This an ideal get away spot for residents nearby.

What a treasure! We're frequent flyers when it comes to Amity Ales because we're obsessed. We always have a great experience. The vibe is perfect. Great atmosphere, clean, welcoming, and relaxing. The staff is very friendly and helpful - the manager, Lawrence, is totally committed to his work, to making sure you return. The food is delicious. My mother likened the AMITY ALES GUINNESS STEW to Martha Stewart's famed beef bourguignon. We always grab a giant pretzel and love it. Great burgers, great wings - just an all around fun, neighborhood place that I hope sticks around for years and years. Nice outdoor space too.

Stopped in to Amity Ales twice to sit at the bar and order some apps. The male bartender is very nice and friendly, but this place needs a few hot females to bring in a bar crowd. The wings were good but the blue cheese was blah. Not terrible but nothing to rave about.

Yum. The fish and chips here are crazy good. The proportion of fish to chips (/fries) is way off, and in a good way. Three giant pieces of crispy beer battered cod with a regular portion of chips. Their in-house pale ale is a great drink too. Pair this with great service, what's not to like? Did I mention that the chips were fresh cut and fried? You can taste the difference. These are not your French fries.

Always have a great time at Amity Ales. Awesome food, nice menu of drinks. They have a cute outdoor area too.

Good food in a cozy atmosphere, at reasonable prices!

The food was typical for this style of restaurant but the grill must be too hot or not cleaned well as the food had a burnt taste. It was not that crowded maybe half full so there was no rush to get the food out and I feel most people were there for beer vs food.

Right of us showed up at noon for a quick get together and the staff were unfazed. Drinks, food, and service we're constant. A great time was had by all.

This place has awesome food and pours a GREAT pint of Guiness. Excellent service and super friendly staff.

I visit Amityville, from the city and AA is our fav pub. There was a 30 min wait for a table so we ate at the bar. When I asked the male bartender to check on our food order his response was, "It's only been 15 minutes." As an ex-server (we're the worst) you at least pretend to feel their pain...the food came literally 15 sec after I inquired. NBD, the food and drinks were great (mushroom burger) as was the female bartender.

I went early on a on a Friday night Great selection of beers on tap there was three of us we eat at the bar the service was good friendly food came out quickly even though it’s kind of busy I had to steak tidbit sandwich it was delicious I definitely recommend this place I will be going back again

Dropped in for burger special night (..light crowd so one of the few times table conversation is possible)..dining area was sparsely populated, beers took unusually long to deliver...stange.. Worth a stop...

Went there with some friends I ordered a regular burger but the bun it came with was not fresh it was hard to chew & the fries that came with it were old & recooked not fresh the only thing I liked was there Margaritas, but always check there food for freshness in any restaurants

I came in for the apps and taps Tuesday. Morgan the waitress was awesome! So friendly and attentive. The loaded fries with chili was very satisfying. And it was an live band playing. They sound good too.

First time here and it was a great spot. Busy on a Tuesday with excellent service and solid food. Special pricing for beer on tap Tuesday. Enjoyed it.

Best eats in Amityville. Best is right across the street from a great music venue the warehouse always A list bands. U can't go wrong here

Great food and beer selection. I have to say that the fried pickles are especially amazing! Solid burger, and standard bar food with a couple extras.

I am very disappointed tonight with the restaurant. First I would like to add myself and my family eat there all the time. Sometimes my son and I will eat lunch there two to three times a week. Appetizers were good, salad as well. The main meal took 50 minutes and we asked 2 times in between what was going on and asked for the manager 3 times. We were told they were backed up he was coming, but tables that arrived after us were being served full meals and the manager never came over. The food came, I ordered corned beef ruben sliders I recieved pastrami so greasy and one didn't even have meat, just a blob of melted cheese and no extra sauerkraut as I ordered. My husband ordered a full corned beef ruben with sweet potato fries got a pastrami ruben and regular fries. Again everything was terribly greasy. My daughter Inlaw ordered the chicken sandwich and it was just as greasy as everything else. My son ordered a chicken wrap that didn't even come with our food . We had to ask 5 minutes later where it was. I finally demanded the manager please come out. Our server said I told him but he said wait. The manager came out finally and I showed him the quality of the food and by his reaction I believe he already knew from being in the kitchen. He started off ok but started developing a sarcastic attitude, didn't go well. We asked for the unacceptable meals to come off the bill, wrapped the wrap and half of the ruben sandwich and we left. My daughter Inlaw and myself did not eat. My husband and son took theirs. We have never ever had this kind of experience in this restaurant. I have brought family, friends and even coworkers to experience what a great atmosphere, service and food you have. My husband's last words were this is the last time i will spend my money here. I don't know what happened tonight, but I hope this doesn't happen to other customers. I expect to hear from someone besides the manager on site tonight, preferably the owner. Very unsatisfied customer!!!!!!

TLDR: I do recommend. Beautiful place / decor. I wasn't there long but I loved the atmosphere & the employees. I sat at the bar a spell & they were really fast with service. I only give 4 stars because I haven't eaten the food yet, but I will be returning to try it!

Third time here and great atmosphere....great staff. Very on point and attentive. Drinks were great and the customers weren't your typical rowdy bunch of a local watering hole. Good place for a meal or a drink.

Was looking forward to going to amity ales to meet with some friends that I have not seen in a bit to watch the New York Islanders afternoon hockey game. Upon arrival got greeted by friends that had already ordered me food as I was running late. The bar tender who reminded me of hillary swank from karate kid 94’ seemd a bit disengaged as she didn’t want to be bartending on a Sunday. Waited quite a bit for my wings because she forgot to put them in which wasn’t really a big deal. Then proceeded to wait to grab her attention for a beer after giving me the beer list some time ago (I’m a non crowded bar) The game comes on I ask the bar tender to remove the closed captioning on the tv because we were watching a sporting event. I’m a straight blank stare she said no. My friend is a special need person and it upset him quite a bit. To de escalate the situation I asked for the check and asked 2 nice females sitting next to us to take a picture of us to cheer him up. Thankfully they took a lesson from sensei about kindness. With a new found happiness we left and had a great evening at my house watching the game. Wings were not the best service was horrible. If you don’t want to be a bartender on Sunday. Don’t come in.

This place used to be really good. But since covid it's gone a bit downhill. I got the Bruno burger which I've had in the past. The burger was unseasoned. I also asked for medium rare and received well done. Then on top of that they charge a 4% cc processing fee. That's more than their processing company charges. Usually fees top out at 3.5 percent. So they are trying to take advantage of their customers.

One of my favorite places to go for a relaxed, cozy meal with friends. Get a booth or sit at the bar. The back room is nice, but lacks the warmth and intimacy of the front area. Just spent a lovely afternoon on a foggy, dreary day...Wonderful selection of draft beers, changed seasonally. Tried the fish tacos for the first time...Oh, yes! Light, satisfying and so good...probably the best Ive had. *Our waitress Kat was phenomenal*. Friendly, attentive, perfect timing...she almost read our minds as to suggestions. I hope they never lose her!. We spent almost 3 hours over lunch and drinks, so no-pressure and relaxed. Like being in my own home minus the sweats. I've been going there for years...hope to go for many more. Their fish & chips are great (too much fish/order in my mind though...Im not big on leftovers...if you are, you'll love it), I get it with the homemade kettle chips instead of fries.The baked clams are a Must! Love the Veggie burger & portabello burger(sometimes a bit too salty...but when its right, its Right!), and my meat-eating friends scarf down the Amity cheesesteak and steak tidbits. One of my friends cant get enough of the pulled pork sliders. Good kitchen!! Never a disappointment. Try it....you will go back.

We had a great time, food was excellent, service is on the ball. And it wasn't that expensive! I will go back! I deffinatly recommend it if you like Pubs!

Had takeout lunch from Amity Ales today and it was excellent. I had the Cajun poppers appetizer, and they were a bit messy but so worth it. I also got the roast pork sandwich with fries and it was really good as well. The pork was so tender and juicy, with the perfect amount of mozzarella on a toasted garlic hero with some gravy to dip it in. Next time I'll eat there because French fries get a little soggy when you get them to go. Very friendly staff there as well.
