Great place.. my six-year-old loves it. He loves anything to do with the military. You can see old school tanks up front and vehicles that are still working and operating it's pretty cool. Plus there's plenty of retired vets there to give you the information and history on some of the vehicles .What a great bunch of guys and a great place we really appreciate it and their service to our country. Put it this way I go there at least twice a month with my little guy. God bless these guys and again thank you gentlemen for your service.

Excellent collection of mainly World War II armored vehicles, all in running condition. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Well worth the drive from New York City. There's no entrance fee except for a voluntary contribution and nobody even asked for that. We were there on a weekday. I believe you can pay for rides in the vehicles on weekends. Bathrooms are very clean.

Wow, what a find. While visiting family on Long Island, we needed to kill a little bit of time. We happened on the Museum of American Armor. What a nice representation of our military vehicles and some of their weaponry. This was a very easy walking tour. With plenty of volunteers and veterans to answer questions. I had never seen some of the amazing armor our military had to protect them. It was also nice to see the women of past military conflicts represented so proudly. The building is a large warehouse style building but very nicely laid out with an air-conditioned area. They have meetings and performances here. They have a movie to watch. And although we did not see a reenactment, were told they happen often and are amazing to see. Hopefully next time we get to Long Island we can schedule it for a reenactment. They did have nice restrooms and ample parking.

Amazing place full of historical machines to touch and to see real tanks and other ww2 equipment. Very friendly stuff with great knowledge of historical events as we know "World War II was a conflict between 1939 and 1945 that involved all the world's major countries. It was the most destructive war in history and millions of people were killed"

Everyone should come & see what they have on display! I think it's very interesting to see how big these tanks and equipment are! It's our history of the wars that have been Fort for our American Freedoms! They ask for a Donations we usually drop in the donation box from $5.00 to $20.00 dollars depending on how many there is of us! It's worth a look!

Very interesting collection of various WWII artillery and tanks. This is one of a kind of museum where you can touch and be in between the WWII tanks, anti-tanks and -aircraft guns and ammo. There are many volunteers that are awesome and willing to talk and answer any questions.

As a ww2 and tank nut, this place was absolutely fascinating! I had the opportunity to participate in their armor experience and ride on a half track while watching a Sherman tank and Hellcat destroyer engage in mock combat!! Sure you can see these American icons sitting in a museum, but where are you going to see them in action and firing? If you are even remotely interested in ww2 I urge you to get here and do the armor experience and experience history like never before!

Cool museum staffed by knowledgeable volunteers. A living museum with a shop where you can actually see employees maintaining or restoring vehicles. I'd love to see this place increase their apparel merch. Can't wait for the next outside display. Watch their calendar for really cool events.

If you are passionate about history, or you simply like to learn something interesting every day, visit this peculiar museum, you will love it. My son and I really enjoyed being there. We met a friendly man who took us on the tour, telling us anecdotes and stories of what happened with each item exhibited in this small but interesting museum. To our surprise, this kind gentleman participated in the Second World War and properly recounted his experience using the huge tanks that are there. We liked it a lot.

As a retired Non-Commissioned Officer in the United States Army, I was very disappointed in the professionalism of the staff. My son is autistic and was playing with the doors at the front of the entrance as my brother was watching him. I was on the other side, with my daughter, towards the back when a staff member made the following comment: "That father has no control over his kid". I told him, "The boy is autistic and that he is my son." He then changed his tune, saying he didn't want his fingers caught in the door. The audacity not to apologize and offer that as an excuse for the comment was uncouth, to say the least. If autistic children or any child is not welcome, please say so on the website and at the front of the entrance, so people don't waste anyone's time. I'm sure not all staff members fall into this category, but I would recommend refresher training on treating patrons with dignity and respect. Very Respectfully, Alfred J. Luttman

Great museum, they had a lot of my favorite vehicles there and I loved the parade they have as well. Over all great place!

I took my 11 year old grandson to the museum. A wonderful place to learn and appreciate our country and the sacrifices of the "greatest generation". 🇺🇲 No charge to visit but one as should leave a fair and generous d momonation.

A true patriotic experience. Take a Woke Liberal to the museum and show them how these brave men and women sacrificed it all to secure our freedom. God bless the Republic.

We were visiting family and since my husband was in tank units in the IDF, we thought we would come here to check it out. I was pretty disappointed. There is a lot to see but every single thing is off limits to kids. Our three-year-old was so excited to see everything but when she couldn't climb inside the truck, or try on the different army helmets, the whole experienced soured. Back home, there is one or two tanks that kids and adults can climb on with other interactive activities to really engage visitors....we just weren't expecting to only be able to read. There wasn't even any guides that we saw working. I would only recommend this place to people with older kids who enjoy reading. We had to leave suddenly when they put on Saving Private Ryan....not a movie suitable for children.

Surprisingly good collection. A bunch of these vehicles run. Absolutely worth the drive from South Jersey

I had a great time with the family, great staff willing to show/explain/inform you about most of the items on display. There is just so much to see and unlike other armor museum, most of the units here are working and still go out and play in the mud. Before you visit check the web and try to plan your trip around one of the live interactive events. They even allow rids on some of the items. plan accordingly.

Really impressive museum with so many vehicles. Didn't expect that. Would be really nice to be able to visit during one of their reenactment, that would be really amazing.

An amazing place to visit, you can see most of all of the ww2 militari vehicles (american) and basically of of them in running condition. Entrance is free, just contribute with a donation. There are also 1/35 scale models on exhibition, very detailed models and dioramas of trucks, tanks and many more. Also there are a few vehicles outside and even a ww1 tank. They do some extraordinary activities on weekends too. Highly recommended this place.

This museum is in the same vicinity as the Old Bethpage Restoration Village, but the main museum was closed. We were able to walk area the "parking area" and take pictures of the the military vehicles. Putting a pin in it for a later visit.

It’s a small museum , but if you are a fan , there are many cool selections to study and read . It’s a nice side trip if you are in the neighborhood and it’s free

Would like to start off by saying I am an Iraqi war vet and have so much respect for any museums respecting the military. I came here based on some of the other reviews expecting a lot more. However the staff on Sunday (in particular one elderly man) is highly unprofessional and not very kid friendly especially if you have a special needs child. I was here with my entire family-niece-nephew-brother. My nephew has autism and incredibly high energy and i happened to be watching him. We brought him here because he likes trucks-trains-buses-and things of that sort. I figured as long as I keep an eye on him and he doesn’t break or touch anything that says “do not touch” or doesn’t wander off into a restricted area we’d be fine. If anyone knows about autism-those kids have quite a bit of repetitive and stimming behavior. My nephew happens to love to see doors open and close. One staff member asked me to not have him do that since it sets off an alarm (keep in mind it’s a public area and people are walking in and out so I don’t even know if that’s true) . However we obliged. We walk towards the outer area when my brother tells me one of the staff members said some parents don’t know how to control their kids thinking I was the father. My brother informed the gentleman that he was the father and his son as autism. Rather than apologize the gentleman tries to justify his comments. I’m wrote this with the hopes the supervisor trains their staff better at interacting with the public and being more welcoming to children with all conditions. I will be going there again to address with the supervisor so hopefully there will be change implemented going forward.
