I have been going there for many years, enjoying the many activities there. The sheepsheering, and arts and crafts, and winter barn dances.❤🤠😍 It has been a few years but I finally made it to their Long Island fair, I went w friends and my favorite part was all the animals. I grew up around dogs, cats and chickens. But my favorite 4 legged friend has always been the horse!❤🤠😃 There was the usual food staple, chicken, hot dogs and hamburgers w drinks. But there was a variety of horse shows and a good show and music from the past. I look forward to next year❤😍

The village is absolutely delightful! Incredibly scenic! It really immerses you in the time and the history of the area to be in a place like this in a way that isn’t possible at a normal museum! All of the historically clad historians and workers at each location in the village were delightful and were willing to answer my many MANY historical questions. They talked extensively about the different places and made the interactions not just informative but an actual pleasure! I also very much liked being able to meet all the farm animals, whom I was told are official ‘county employees’, and the hat shop, which has some truly spectacular and incredibly well made hats! They are sturdy but still fashionable looking in a timeless way that you can still wear for current fashion!

Great museum! There are a lot of historical houses in one place. You feel like you're in the 19th century Village.  You can come to different houses and get a tour from the host or look by yourself. $15 per adult. Definitely recommend.

Sponsored by the American Armor Museum. WW II reenactment. Had a great time, fun for all ages. Half track rides, demonstrations, and games. Ear protection is recommended for those with sensitive hearing.

September 2022 Such a fascinating village where you can immerse yourself in 19th century farm life. There are numerous buildings and exhibits to see, and it's a lot of fun for the whole family and children when they have festivals here. 19th century baseball games are played here sometimes and it's very interesting to see the game played as it was in 1864.

Was really cool, the BLAZE attraction! It's amazing when you realize that everything is actually made and carved out of real pumpkins!! The way they have it all laid out as far as the pathway is very organized and a wonderful exhibit experience! I highly recommend. Definitely buy tickets online and make sure to arrive 20 mins before your scheduled ticket time. Enjoy!!!

Wonderful, friendly, informative, interesting. Just go. And if you can go to one of the special evenings where you have a lantern to guide your way, do it!

Living history museums fascinate me if they're done well. We had just over an hour to explore because we arrived so late, but I think we all learned so much about Long Island history by talking to the many historians working at the site. I definitely need to come back to give myself more time to explore, and the freedom to keep talking to the historians if the conversation is flowing.

Went to the Old Bethpage Village Restoration for the Halloween exhibit, Blaze. We had a wonderful time. It was amazing to see the creations that were made using pumpkins.

This was a nice experience. But coming from Brooklyn was far and stuck in traffic both ways on the belt pkwy was not worth it. This literally was an all day thing starting from home and getting back home.

Attended a Senior Birthday Party called "Celebrating Seniors". It was a wonderful experience. We received information from various County departments: Aging, mental health, county clerk, veterans service, crime victim. We also received lunch, entertainment, music. This was a nice birthday present from the office of the county executive on the fairgrounds.

This place doesn’t have the greatest hours but it is definitely a fun and interesting place to visit. If you’re looking for a great historical experience then try this place out. It’s not too expensive either.

They have staff members at most historic buildings in the village running tours and a quick demo of some of the tools. Good inexpensive experience.

A hidden gem that unless you want there on a school trip, like I did you would never know it is there. A great new feature as soon as you pull in is the tank museum. I was in awe when I saw the size of these tanks.

Really cool experience, especially with the kids. We went for Fourth of July weekend and they did a reenactment of soldiering, baseball game, live bands, dancing and a parade. Also had crafts at the old school house. Was a grand ol time!

Came here for the Great Jack O'Lantern Blaze and were very impressed!! The event itself, magnificent, of course. True artsmanship!!! But the staff here have this down like a well oiled machine. From parking to merchandise and everyone on the paths - AWESOME!! The paths are easy and accessible for strollers and wheelchairs - paths are not paved, so bear in mind that means dips and grooves in the ground as you walk, wheel or stroll. It is incredibly helpful that tripods are not allowed, so the flow is nice and smooth.

Beautiful. Went to the pumpkin fest called Crave, very creative in their pumpkin carving displays. The imagination was refreshing. The grounds at Bethpage Restoration is always serene and welcoming. Great place to go when there's nothing else to. Must order tix's online only.

Old Bethpage Restoration Village is an absolute treasure. 30 minutes is not long enough to absorb the significance of this place, so of course you may feel the price was too much. You have to spend the day with them! The biggest tip I would give to people coming museums like this, is to talk to the residents, listen to the tales from that historical period, play the children's games, make a straw broom, eat & drink the products they made. It is a time portal to Long Island's historical communities. The community residents are knowledgeable, they live the history of the village, and their stories made me feel as if I had gone back in time to that period in history with the residents. Their 🎃 Pumpkin Blaze was wonderful and the Halloween lights were extraordinarily beautiful! It is wonderful experience!

I loved both visiting the buildings and walking around the gardens. The buildings are set up the way they were used by their owners, often dating back to the XIX century. Unfortunately very few buildings were open when I visited, so I missed out quite a bit of the history lesson.

This is a wonderfully run program! We visited on a gorgeous Sunday afternoon. We ended up spending 4 hours, but my 9 year old has said that the next time we need to arrive earlier. The staff was amazing. Incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. The tradespeople they have working there are talented and excellent at sharing their skills. The grounds are well laid out. The buildings are spaced out but there are lots of places to sit and rest as needed. We'll definitely go back when we're next in town.

Due to the weather, some of the houses were closed, so we ended up getting a private tour and it was absolutely amazing. Staff is very friendly, knowledgable, and they love what they do. Great experience!

👍👍 Great place.. my six-year-old loves it. He loves anything to do with the military. You can see old school tanks up front and vehicles that are still working and operating it's pretty cool. Plus there's plenty of retired vets there to give you the information and history on some of the vehicles .What...
