Winter festival was a great experience. The old Pullman car was fun to explore. Had many local businesses that were of interest and I actually had fun doing a planking challenge for a local gym. Look at the determination here. Fun all around. Strongly suggest future participation.

If you like trains or history and are in the neighborhood, be sure to stop by. The restored train car is amazing, and the old Wantagh station depicts the history of the preservation effort.

A quaint museum in Wantagh, Long Island, featuring a railroad station, a train car and a post office in a setting of yesteryear. The museum has a lot of local history shown through plenty of photographs and preserved pieces. The folks that were tending the museum when we visited were friendly and willing to answer all our questions. There's no admission to visit but to help maintain the structures and the grounds kindly join the Wantagh Preservation Society.

I paid good money for a full day permit for pro photo shoots, only to have other photographers with no paid permits come and take "family" shots and get in my way .I feel like i wasted money getting a permit in the first place. The staff is friendly...but too friendly by letting other get in my way and letting them take pictures.I most likely wont be returning next year...and if i do i wont waste money on a permit.

Quaint little park with the train. Great for family photos. A staple in the community since I was a child. I love that Wantagh preserves these locations.

Theres a geocashe on the stairs of the train and a bunch of kids drinking and smoking weed in the woodsbehind it. All is fun for all the family

It has a train car outside you can go into. I've never been inside the building as it's always been closed.
