Great park in Lindenhurst. There are two ballfields, a playground for the kids, a pond with a fountain, a walking/running trail, basketball court, tennis court and a 9/11 Memorial Garden. We come here a lot because the kids have baseball games here. Sometimes we go to the park as well. The kids like to ride their bikes here around the trail. The ice cream man usually makes a stop at the ball games.

Every time I go I swear I see 1) people feeding the birds bread/chips/food they SHOULD NOT consume 2) people chasing the birds for the sake of chasing them. Beautiful, serene area. I think the park staff could be doing more to ensure it stays that way. The one sign stating "don't feed wildlife" is not enough and it's not even near the shady area people typically feed the birds. Makes me uncomfortable to watch. Other than that, great local park. Wish so many stupid people didn't exist

The park has restrooms that are generally unlocked, baseball fields, a kiddie play area, a full-size basketball court, and a tennis court. A lovely gated 9/11 tribute portion that must be seen, as simple words cannot begin to describe the magnificents. Last, the small yet noted cons: The pond is murky as its primary source is polluted by runoff water. That is to say any cigarette butts, antifreeze, oil, fertilizers, plastic, and other irresponsibly disposed or induced matter spills into the pond via the street drains. In days of yore, the clean water actually served as a swimming/bathing area during the hot summer months. There is a beautiful fountain in the center of the pond, Canadian geese and Mallard ducks are present during the warmer months. Fish are found in the dirty water — primarily, carp that some crazy individuals fish for, catch, keep and ingest. The pathways are severely peppered with geese and duck poo, so be wary of where you step, run, bike and so forth. All in all, not a bad place to explore. I took a star away because the DPW or other party has NEVER dealt with the cleaning of the filthy pathways.

Great place for the kids to run around and play. Open all year round. I have a 9,6,3 years old kids and the park offers variety of play area. Tennis, baseball field, basketball and the playground for older kids and smaller toddlers. The county workers are great always on top of the park making sure the area clean and also safe. My only problem with the place are the people who uses it and abuse the playground i wish there was some security to keep people in check. The tennis court which i would love to use but unfortunately the nets are broken missing middle tape. We do love going there regardless. Very pretty and nice to walk around the pond. Highly recommended for the kids

My grandson is playing tee-ball there and the park is lovely. It has a pretty duck pond a nice play ground and safe clean restrooms. Get yourself an ice cream cone and dream of simpler times.

Beautiful relaxing spot. I love taking my children to play in the park and my dog for walks there. Been going here almost all my life. They also have a lovely 9/11 memorial garden dedicated to those in the community who lost or gave their lives that day. Really touching.

😐 The facilities are very nice. A lot of little kid programs. But went for toddler open gym. Had very few toys and games for a paid program ($3). My 2yo kid got bored in less than an hour. I would recommend Grayslake ($3) or Wauconda's (free) over this one.

👍👍 Lots of Pokemon Go activity here. My son's favorite park, he always called it the "bumpy rolly slide park". Hahaha

👍👍 Good to see that Lindenhurst village is turning the place around. Went there for a community event - Color Run organized by Lindy Cares, and seemed like the right place for such an event. Big enough to start the event and enough place for a few kiosks.

👍👍 Great place to crab and fish. Lots of friendly people. Only problem was with the head dock supervisor not sure of his true position but the boss of the dock master. Lacking in social skills comes up with question which felt invasive as to find fault in my cleaning and and attitude towards his quest...
