Babylon Village Dog Park (Hawleys Lake Park)

Dog park

😐 Really small, so not good for a medium or large dog. No water either, so bring your own. Huge area outside the dog park that could be part of it, but its not. Would rather walk my dogs there. Try somewhere else if your dog is medium to large. There is a dog park in Massapequa right off Sunrise... People often mention water, park, dogs, bring,

Great Place to unleash your dog(s). Area is in enclosed by fence so your dog can run around and socialize as well as interact with the other owners. During late fall, they turn off the water so bring water. There are water bowls as well. Nice good place so your dog(s) can expend their energy.

Try somewhere else if your dog is medium to large. There is a dog park in Massapequa right off Sunrise Hwy, just west of route 110 that is WAY BETTER than this place.

Nice, well kept. The other dog owners have been nice with well behaved dogs but that can change. Bring a gallon of water for the community water bowl. It seems the is a half gallon of water for the next dog. Very thoughtful people!

Great times at this dog park! There are 4 benches, a fountain for fresh water, waste bags, and a collection of donated toys. The only downside are the boulders, I've seen a few dogs run into the boulders while running.

Great place to bring your dogs. Good community of dog owners. Ground can be pretty chewed up and muddy, especially when it's wet. Some crazed guy from Whaler's Cove next door is harassing and stalking some of the park users because he doesn't like the sound of dogs barking.

Great small dog park. Usually a few nice doggie friends to play with, and they bring some nice humans along. Unfortunately, this dog park is scheduled to close.

Nice local dog park. People are friendly. Plenty of parking and completely fenced in. There is no separation between big and little dogs. Make sure your dog can be around the big ones before coming here. Can get muddy after wet weather.

What a nice little quiet spot! It's located on a dead end in Babylon Village. It has a gated section to walk your dog or you can let them run in a field that's bigger than a football field! It doesn't get too crowded and all the dog folk we met have been polite. But do keep a leash with you just in case your dog gets a little too aggressive or meets an aggressive dog. There's even a gated kid's playground if you want to bring your kids. Dogs are not allowed in there though. I love that they provide poopy bags so you can clean up after your dog. During the summer there's also a water fountain and a little one attached for your dog! How cute!

My 2 dogs had a great time there. At first they acted as if they were walking on eggshells because of the woodchip ground cover. They got over it when 3 more dogs showed up. Cleaned up after both of my dogs when they did their business and I picked up a few more that belonged to previous park users. Very nice set up. Will be back again soon. And next time I will bring a gallon of water.

This park is awful. Dogs and their owners are constantly fighting. There is one dog in particular, a coonhound that barks incessantly and the owner (comes in a blue pickup truck ) is either oblivious or just plain inconsiderate. I have seen the cops called on multiple occasions to this location.
