Stayed there 4 months, which is unusual because it is run by the county as are most campgrounds on Long Island. The majority of them only will allow you to stay there two weeks and then you have to move somewhere else butt I was able to stay there the entire length of time I was working on the island. The only drawback was there was no sewer so I had to use a Honey Wagon with frequent trips to the dump station.

If you enjoy a campground mere feet from a landfill this place is for you..you may not need a nightlight to go use the restroom from the toxic fill

Unfortunately they are missing some of the modern day amenities such as wi-fi and cable tv. With very dense foliage it was not possible to get satellite reception. The distance between campers was very nice.

This Nassau county, Long Island NY Campground is on the Nassau/Suffolk county border. There is tent sites and RV sites . Some with 30 amp service, others with 50 amp. Water hook up's, but no cable and sewer . It does have a dump station by the exit / entrance. It's centrally located so you can travel to NYC or even trek out to the Hamptons! All depends what you want to do!

Nice place to take Girl Scout troops, clean, friendly, safe. It was nit like a national park of course, but if you are looking for an inexpensive place to camp out with your troop it is wonderful.

Beautiful campground with lots of space and trees. Spots were paved and level. I realize that it's Long Island, but the price was pretty high for not having sewer or wifi.

surprising how nice and rural it felt, despite being off of a main drag in LI. Staff were friendly and helpful. Sites are level, some shaded, and the campground is clean. No frills, but it was the perfect stay for us during the PGA at nearby Bethpage. Much more affordable than a hotel or an Airbnb! Traveled from WNY and the directions were a bit dicey- we had a slight issue with the pedestrian bridges over the parkway on our way in. Way out we followed the trucker's GPS, which avoided low bridges, but took us through tight streets (Queens) to return west. Otherwise, it was perfect. I will definitely be back someday.

👍 Beautiful park for the most part. The equipment is outdated and falling apart. The wood chips around the base of the playground need to be replenished badly. Since the shooting, which occurred on the 6th, the town has since installed a motorized gate. The park, which used to be open for the most p...
