Let me start by saying I would have given it 7 stars if it had full hook-ups. It does have water and electric but no sewers. It also has a dump station. The grounds are kept clean, the showers are not only clean but have good water pressure too. The sites are a nice size and the campground is very quiet. The staff is amazing. Kathy goes out of her way to accommodate your needs and is always friendly. Frank will also help you in any way he can and is nice to speak with. The proximity to Manhattan or eastern Long Island is also a plus. It is close to the Long Island expressway, which makes it a great stop over. Bring your tent or RV and enjoy.

We came here to visit with our family and this campground is centrally located for us. We did not seek amenities, as we've moved from this area and are not vacationing here. We used our own toilet and shower, as we do at all campgrounds. Therefore, we did not have issues, as others have complained about. This campground allows leashed dogs, as long as you clean up after them. The sites are roomy, allowing a nice patch of grass around your trailer. Our picnic table was in fine order, no issues. I cannot recall if they have barbecue grills, but we went out to eat all the time, and I didn't pay attention, sorry. We visited family, and were not vacationing. As stated, this is a centrally located, quiet campground near Route 110 industrial parks, and gives easy access to the LIE and parkways. Shopping abounds along Route 110, for almost anything you might need and restaurants abound. We spent over one week at this park and were happy here. In fact, we'll be returning in a few months for a return visit. The last time we came to Battle Row, we arrived at about 7 AM and were exhausted. There was no one available to check in with. We pulled into a slot and got a little rest. Shortly after we were approached by a gentleman in a truck, asking about our check in. We explained that we drove through the night and arrived earlier than expected, and he directed my husband to check us in. No problems there. I suppose it depends on what your expectations are when you come here. This is "country" campground, with lots of sun and shade, in a built up area on Long Island. I find it to be a little piece of heaven.

One of the nicer RV parks we have been to. It is quiet, spots are big enough for large rigs, grass area with table and charcoal grill, and a large field with playground. Friendly front office. 50 amp hook up spots. I highly recommend if you are staying in Long Island - great central location. On-site bathroom could use an update.

Nice big play area for kids. Campsites large and well maintained. However the comfort station was a mess! We camped for 3 days and it was never cleaned and trash was never removed. Cans were overflowing and people were leaving trash in showers. No soap in bathrooms. Showers were moldy and didn't appear to have been cleaned in awhile. I don't mind an older bathhouse but no excuse for a dirty one.

OK, it isn't a sprawling, state park campground, but it's close to NYC, so it's very convenient, it's wooded, AND it's quiet/peaceful. The bathhouse with flush toilets, sinks, soap, and mirrors, was clean, as were the showers. The people running the place are so very nice and welcoming. I called Frank from my home in Michigan and he helped me get my spot booked for the days I needed it, which relieved a lot of the stress I was feeling about where I was going to stay while working in the city. I was able to enjoy coffee made with my french press each of the mornings I woke here, from my picnic table, in the fairly private space in the woods that was my camp spot. So very pleasant! (Keep in mind I was not in an RV, but rather tent camping.) The price was very affordable, especially considering the prices of decent hotels and AirBnB spaces that I researched as I was planning my trip. Thank you Battle Row staff! :) I would happily stay here whenever my work requires a trip to NYC or Long Island.

Beautiful oasis! Dump station on the driveway out. Spacious RV sites. Plenty of room to walk the dogs. Clean bathrooms. Nice office staff. About an hour from New York city. 5-10 min drive to Long Island Railroad.

We stayed here late August 2019. We came into town for a wedding. Very quiet, nice campground. Great for adults. Not a ton to do for kids. Nice playground. Well kept. Easy access for large campers. Yes the entrance is across from a gravel bank and transfer station but once inside you would never know.

They lack sewer and the showers are not well-drained but it's a damn nice place. Very large campsites, lots of trees, and quiet. Nice guy at the office, too.

I used this campsite on Christmas Eve. I paid $64 dollars just for electric hookup. They turned off the water this time of year. Terrible site and horrible views. The site is next door to a landfill.

Nice campground near NYC. Expensive, though. Water and electricity, but no sewer except for a dump station. Restrooms are clean but stained and need to be replaced or updated. Sites are large and it's quiet.

Pretty nice as far as campground go I’m not an aficionado though I wouldn’t say this is particularly for those that like Glamping however. But it’s got common bathrooms with showers with hot water. And even some long term camping spots for trailers and such. Otherwise, there are plenty of spots where you can camp with a tent and get a fire going. It’s located in the suburbs so you’re not out in the middle of nowhere. In fact, you are a two minute drive from 7-Eleven. So that may or may not be what you’re looking for.

Stayed here a week visiting our daughter in Brooklyn and really enjoyed this campground. Pretty area close to a state park, and the cute town of Farmingdale!

Good camp for our van WingIt. Close to NYC with water and electric and a reasonable price. Camp attendant was super nice and helpful. Only negative is that there are many bridges too low for Campers. I saw one at just over 7 ft. I went under some that were labeled 8'3" at low side and my van is 9'8". It is best if you use a camper safe GPS.

Wouldn't tell me they had no availability until after making me sign up for an online account.
