Nazar! Ooooooh! I mean come on...you don't already know this place? You must try the real gyro. The Fresh gyro lamb meat is amazing! Did I mention the lentil soup? Everything here is traditional for the most part. Amazing grocery store also which really helps understand the cuisine. This place is a gem and a must have to anyone looking for explore long island. Great dine in experience and same quality to-go! This place has a reputation and has stood the test of time.

This is the best Turkish restaurant on Long Island. They are very generous with their portions and use lamb instead of chicken or beef. Food is delicious and you get free Turkish tea. They also have reasonably priced groceries and meats. The staff is friendly and fast. I have been going there for the last 5 years and never had any negative experience so far. Highly recommended for the authentic Turkish food.

A friend brought me here telling me that the food was amazing. Very fresh food. Ordered the lamb kabob, came with rice, salad, and bread. I would definitely come back for another lunch!

Terrible experience on Christmas Day. Waited forever when we were told the food would take 15 minutes. Two guys in the front bumped heads and were going to physically fight in front of customers. All the food quality was poor and small portions. Not worth the price or time. Waste of money, unfortunately.

I bought the whole tray of baklava last Saturday. It was so fresh and delicious that our guests didn’t leave a crumb of it. Thank you so much

Wonderful family owned Turkish restaurant. Half is groceries and half restaurant. The food was 7.5/10. I liked the different Turkish drinks.

The restaurant in Lahmacun is far from what it should be. The meat quality of Adana dish is also bad.

Food is so tasty, the portions are quite large and its a great value! Their babaganush is out of this WORLD and I am so impressed by it. We love their stuffed grape leaves as well. This is the place to eat if you are in the area. We love Nazar. They also have a store on the side of their restaurant if you want to take DELICIOUS fresh baked baklava /packaged goodies home.

The food is sooo disgusting, it taste like butter and oil after hours have gone by eating it. They use the cheapest oil and ingredients they can find. This place is worst than fast food, please avoid. It has nothing to do with Turkish food, this is beyond disgusting food !

I think the ownership of this restaurant changed post Covid. The meat is no longer freshly grilled as it should be, but pan cooked in old oil. Unfortunately, Kofte platter was atrocious, it tasted old, oily and extremely overcooked. It has zero resemblance of being grilled. Turkish people take great pride in making perfect kebabs, adana and kofte. This used to be my go to spot when i was in the area, but it's changed.

Excellent food, friendly staff. Get there early if you want a Gyro. However the mixed grill is also superb. Will be back for sure.

Food is amazing. But want to mention one thing as this place called halal restaurant. The eye which you can see on the walls of the restaurant is not halal, it’s a shirk.

If you love kebabs, Nazar has you covered. The portions are generous - a tasty bed of rice, two large chunks of meat, a small side salad and a slab of yummy, fresh bread, and you will be full for hours. If you need some supplies to make middle eastern food, the attached market probably has it. I like to buy my spices for making my own adana kebabs here, but they also have a selection of Turkish groceries of all kinds.

Nazar offers an authentic Turkish cuisine experience that's absolutely delightful! The flavors transport you straight to Turkey, making every dish feel like a culinary journey. A special shoutout to Nido, the young man at the front service who went above and beyond to make our visit memorable. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a genuine taste of Turkey!

I ordered 3 meals for pick up, but one order was missing, when I cane back with receipt, the owner said will give half price for the order was missing! That's ridiculous! How can he charge a penny for food he never delivered! I refused and left place and will never come back!!!

Amazing authentic Turkish restaurant & market. The Lahmacun is a delicious blend of middle eastern spices. Their version of pita is much more substantial and decadent. The unique, delicious grape leaves are different than any I’ve had before. Warm spices replace traditional citrus.

Extremely fresh food and great seating area! They are one of the best Turkish restaurants in the area and very consistent with their quality as well! Market is also next door, in the same building, which makes shopping and eating way too easy!

Unfortunately, customer service and cleanliness are not there! We cleaned our table before we ordered. I can say food is ok!

I stopped here for lunch after my sister had recommended it to me. It was delicious, everything cooked fresh and big quantities. I would recommend this place to anyone who likes Turkish food/ enjoys eating halal.

The food is excellent. Loved the mixed grill and kofte kebabs the bulgur rice is so so so good! Baba ganoush very roasted/ smoky, delicious. Everything is fresh. This is a no frills place. I also had a non alcohol malt beverage, strawberry flavor, yummy and fun

Very large menu for cooked food everything I’ve tried tasted great. Also have a supermarket and butcher. Lamb chops are amazing.

Girls at the cashier are polite but their Halal meat is pricey compared to other local Halal meat stores. The meat most likely comes from restaurant depot, frozen from Australia, and pre-packed so it’s not real butcher meat, cut directly from the animal. I never tasted their restaurant food so I can’l comment on that.
