I have been going here for years and they never let me down. The wait staff was pleasant and inviting, we were seated fast and out server was awesome. We went in for breakfast but wanted to try the B-52 wings which were perfect in texture and flavor, and mozzarella sticks. The coffee hit the spot as well, thanks for staying consistent throughout the years.

The staff is super friendly, all of them. That's why they got the 3 stars otherwise 1 star diner all day. To be honest my food was trash! By the time I drove 0.8 miles home yes, I live that close, my bun was soggy the food was cold. It must have sat in the back. The chicken was processed I thought it was real chicken especially for $15. I wanted to give them another chance and order a burger like you can't screw up a burger right? Then again, as bad as my sandwich was I will not give them a chance to ruin my meal and waste my money ever again. I suggest not going there to eat. Then again you might like low quality food.

Excellent service, food came quick, the place is extremely clean including the silverware which you don’t see new clean silverware in all diners (Good job to that). Excellent selection for the menu. Food was delicious. Jack Daniel’s chicken wrap is great they also have it in a sandwich & the omelets lit. Town of Babylon has a small park across the street so you can go walk after eating here all the food at South Bay.

An older relative told me to eat here after hearing that we had a hotel near here. I’m glad we came for breakfast. We were warmly greeted by the family/owners (assumed) and a beautiful case of pastries. Our server was Edwin-professional friendly personal service. I had eggs Benedict, which is my go to on travel (or biscuit/gravy). I’ve had either in nearly every state. My eggs Benedict were near the best I’ve had. Maddie had the turkey omelette. They fill your plate with house potatoes that will satisfy an lumberjack. A very diverse crowd. Everyone seemed to enjoy the place and weren’t in a rush to leave. Our food was great. The manager was also attentive without being intrusive. Well run restaurant. Music being played was at the perfect level which is rare.

The friendly staff accommodated out large group close despite the time being close to them closing. Food was delicious and was served quickly. Best diner in the area hands down.

It's been a number of years since I've last been to Long Island, so we had to get to as many diners as possible during our visit. Met up with some dear friends from college to enjoy some fantastic food, especially the gravy cheese fries (aka disco fries).

I met a friend for brunch. We were treated very nicely. The food wasn't bad but, I've had better. What stood out most was, as nice as our waiter was, not once did he ask us did we want more coffee or tea. After we finished eating, not once did he ask us did we want anything else. He presented the check and thanked us for dining there. She and I were the only chocolate people there at the time. Again, the cashier and our waiter were very pleasant. However, I felt as though they would prefer we not return. It is my hope that it's not how people of color are always treated. The question is would I go back? My answer is … it's not a place I would return to.

Stopped in for lunch and was reminded on how good this diner is. It's a bit far for me but I wish it was in my hood. Had a Reuben, which was delicious and my fiancé had a Patty Melt which was also superb. The waiter was so nice and on his game that it made a quick bite exceptional.

The best diner I have been to for many reasons. Food is always fresh and taste homemade the service. Second to none, everyone here is friendly and very professional. Not a typical diner, it is very special. We frequent this place. For all the reasons above, keep up the great work.!!!!!!!

Good food nice atmosphere... the desert included in the $28 dollar dinner specials is a joke.. brought it home looked like someone ate half of it.

Had a great dinner with friends. The waitress was attentive and got all the food out at the same time. Even when we were done she said we could hangout as long as we wanted and order dessert if we liked.

I had a turkey avocado wrap with the best crispy fries. For dessert, I shared a slice of death by chocolate cake with my daughter. Everything was amazing. I can't wait to go back to try more from their menu 😋

We love this diner. Food is always top notch and service is exceptional. I just put in an order for pick-up and there was a small mix-up, not a big deal, and yet they more than made up for it. They are great!

Food was terrible. Burnt eggs. Scramble eggs tasted old. Fries were oily and seemed reheated. I think they used fake cheese, it was a wierd orange color. We sat down and waited 5 minutes for service. I WILL NEVER GO BACK AGAIN. THIS I SWEAR.

Service was very slow. Our waiter was not attentive at all. The food was also delayed due to some issue in the kitchen. The manager Christina resolved the issue and was very helpful. If it weren't for her, this would be a 1 star review. It's great to see a manager who sees an issue and gets involved without having to be asked to. She was very nice and helpful, going above and beyond to ensure we left with a great experience in the end. I am so glad she was there, or we would have had a very negative experience.

The food was delicious. The service was horrible. We were served our food and the waitress never came back. We didn’t have clean napkins and had to suck on ice cubes to quench our thirst. When our waitress finally returned she handed us the check and told us to have a good night and walked away. Never asked if we needed anything or if everything was ok. While she watches me sucking my last ice cube. No one cares that service was horrible. I will not be returning. It is very sad we paid $70 and had to leave to get water in car because of such poor service.

This was a diner we have not been to but will be going again too. Lovely atmosphere. We tried the French toast and it was divine. Made with thick Challah bread with a sweet maple honey butter. Sprinkled with powdered sugar and cinnamon. It was so good. And their coffee was outstanding. We will be going again.

Attentive service. Great selection and variety. Tasty food. Reasonable prices. Clean and spacious dining room. Convenient location with plenty of parking. Accommodating to groups. For a snack, a dessert, or a full meal, South Bay Diner is a great choice.

This is, without a doubt, the best diner that I've ever been to on Long Island. Every town has one, at least, but Southbay is off the hook. Great meals and incredible milkshakes, which are made with hard ice cream and served in the steel cup they're made in. Service is always perfect and the place is kept very clean at all times. Just wish they were still open late :(

I was expecting at least good coffee. I would have liked warm milk. We were serve expired milk. My niece had burnt home fries. And was given a cookie which I believe it was wrapped and when my daughter tool a bite she said it taste funny. I guess she was expecting how I looked, kind of fresh. There turkey bacon was not so good. One didn't get my waffled crispy as I requested when I ordered. I used to go every weekend with my husband but once the pandemic start and everything close we stop. But was excited to go back when my daughter ask to go. Just a bit disappointed. So it's ok.

Delicious food each and every visit! Had an awesome dinner. Their sweet teriyaki calamari and wings were over the top with the special Wasabi Ranch dipping sauce..... Constantine is the best!

This is my favorite diner in the Lindenhurst/Babylon area. The space is nice (spacious, comfortable and visually pleasing), the food is very good and the staff is very attentive and efficient. Special props to the front desk. We have noticed the pancakes 🥞 aren't quite as good as they were a few months ago (say Aug/Sep 2021).

We have been here numerous times over the past two years. Amazing service every time. Staff is professional and friendly. The food, from breakfast to soup to fish, is always superb. Highly recommend for breakfast lunch or dinner. Only complaint would be that they had great chicken wings that they recently changed to breaded wings that are not nearly as good.
