I hardly ever have a bad review but I promised I would speak up about this place because I raved about it and hadn't been there in a long time. First, we we're not happy that it took a really long time to be acknowledged for service. We sat there waiting and it wasn't even busy. The food used to be amazing. It's definitely not that good anymore. The pink lady roll was good, that's about it. I ordered another roll, I sent back.. The tuna carpaccio was not good, I ate it because I was starving. The beef negamaki was ok. Even the salad dressing on the salad was terrible. I don't recommend this restaurant and will never go back. I hope the one in Hauppauge is still awesome. It's been awhile, I'll give it a try. The highlight of the evening was the bakery a few doors down. Hope you have a sweet toothe because you'll be hungry! Sorry 😞 👎

Just wow! One of the best Japanese places we have ever been to. I don’t even know where to start. The oysters for starter were amazing! Sushi, sashimi, the salads .. everything super tasty! The staff was super friendly and we had a lot of green tea refills. The perfect experience was rounded up with fried icecream. We enjoyed our family evening and will definitely come back! 100% recommendation 🍱

Kotobuki is one of the best places in the area to get fresh sushi and great Japanese food, but we constantly have issues with delivery. Would recommend NOT ordering delivery on their website or with DoorDash. Our orders always take 2+ hours to arrive and many times the orders get canceled with no information or notice from the restaurant. Just do in store pick-up or dine-in and avoid being stuck at 9pm with no food.

This is by far my favorite sushi place I've been to. I usually get kotobuki for a special occasion because when I get food there I like to go big. The last few times I've had it I've gotten delivery which is a little pricey, but it's well worth the money. I usually get the sushi and sashimi platter (the one pictured is the platter for 2). The only downside of getting it delivered is that that don't include their soup and salad or their amazing friend oysters :( When I have gone in person the staff is always incredibly nice and accomodating. I've gone with my slightly picky parents and they usually leave very satisfied because they love the ramen they serve there.

For sushi lovers; Kotobuki is a must try. Sushi is always fresh and they have the best darn spicy mayo ANYWHERE. Please join me in loving this quaint spot. Come early or it fills up fast, you won't be disappointed

This is by far my favorite sushi place in babylon village. The service is a little slow but the food is so good you barely even noticed. I got the Rock shrimp and the beef bento box and it was delish. Overall 91/100

Kotobuki is amazing!!! The pictures don't do it justice but the food was truly 10/10! We started with the crispy rice & spicy tuna, then shared the Grinch signature roll, a Philadelphia roll, and a tuna steak. All was amazing, but tuna steak no doubt the best 😍 we'll be back !

Ive been to the Hauppauge location a bunch of times and finally got to go to the Babylon location. It did not disappoint in the slightest. Got some rock shrimp, chilean sea bass, and 4 different chef special rolls. They were all delicious but you absolutely have to make sure you get the caterpillar remix roll. You will thank me. Cant wait to go back. Love me some good sushi!

This is my favorite sushi place on Long Island. The food is always fantastic and the staff are great. I love the fried oysters in garlic sauce. The special rolls are delicious works of art.

We love Kotobuki and have always had a lovely time here. The food is great, the staff is always helpful. The atmosphere is minimalist.

High quality sushi with a large selection of rolls. Greet you with a warm towel and spicy noodle appetizer. Delicious entrees and generous portions, had the Pork Katsu which was crispy and delicious. Great experience.

I have never in my many years of ordering takeout experienced the kind of treatment I did tonight when ordering from here. There was a misunderstanding over the phone with “Yoshie” and we were overcharged $40 for an additional 2 rolls we never ordered. When we went to pick up the food she was extremely rude at first, denying to fix the mistake in the order. After arguing for 3 minutes straight in front of the entire dining room (of a rather small establishment) she agreed to fix it, printing out yet another wrong receipt. We then finally got the order right and she was extremely rude saying we were “aggressive” when we only were trying to explain the misunderstanding in a nice manner. We were even originally talking to another staff member and she rudely interrupted and started insisting we were wrong. I will never order from here again and waste my money. There are many other restaurants with the same quality food in the area without the insulting service and rude staff.

Best sushi I've ever had. Their next day leftovers are fresher than the fish at other places. Totally worth the money. Awesome service. High quality.

First time and it was great!! Food was fresh and tasted awesome. But what made this place even better was the service. Our waiter Kevin was one of the best waiters I have had in a long time. Made our whole experience so nice!!

I have eaten with and ordered from innumerable sushi establishments throughout long island. While our selection can be intimidating, I feel long islander's best sushi joint is hands down Kotobuki's Babylon location. Each special roll boasts it's own unique essence, flavor and style that you can see and taste with consistency in every bite, on any night. Traditional rolls are done with impeccable quality, quantity and proportion and it's ambiance is true to Japanese culture and anyone's desire to dine in soft lighting and impeccable hospitality. Highly recommended.

Kotobuki Babylon was a pioneer among suburban sushi restaurants. After decades it is in a sea of such restaurants, many quite good. But it excels at fresh, tender fish in delicious preparations. Compact, often crowded and sometimes noisy, it is a special experience at a surprisingly reasonable price for the quality.

Kotobuki is by far the best sushi in the area! Their sushi and sashimi are top quality, The staff is friendly and polite. I have dined in, taken out and had it delivered and it is excellent every time. D

Best sushi in NY. I got a Spicy Tuna, Dragon, and a California roll. If you are a tourist from another state, go right here! The sushi tastes awesome and is made to perfection.

You need to try the fried oysters period. I know this restaurant is known for its rolls and sashimi...however their fried oysters are delectable. I am not a fan of oysters...I can take them or leave them in general. Ever since trying the oysters here...I have literal dreams about them. Make sure you ask for bread so you can sop up the "juice" I promise you will thank me for the recommendation!

Love this place. Truly the best sushi on Long Island. Reasonable prices and quality product. The salmon carpaccio is one of my favorites.

I've been here quite a few times in the past 10 years and it's always amazing. We came back for the first time in several years and it reminded me how good sushi actually is. I thought I just didn't like it anymore but it's just that nowhere else compares. The fried ice cream is also amazing, perfect amount of batter. I'm so glad I live close enough again.

I think this is my all time favorite place. I eat at alot of highly rated sushi places across the Island and this one wins. Worth the trip from Massapequa. Up there with Minami in Massapequa and Mikado in Lynbrook. I do miss Minami!!

Amazing sushi, great atmosphere. I love sitting at the sushi bar. I order Sushi for 1. Don't do that unless you haven't eaten all day, it's a lot!! Crispy rice & spicy tuna appetizer- yummmm! I [heart] kotubuki!!

Same quality of food and service as the Hauppauge location. Crazy salmon, spider roll and sashimi deluxe are highly recommended.
