This was an interesting experience. Kudos to Theresa for serving me and making this review better. The food was very good, and I would eat here again. I must say the waitress assigned to my table never acknowledged me, apologized for making me wait and not serving me, or even checking on me. Theresa, a manager took care of me with great service. If you read this Theresa, thank you!!... 6/16/2023.. I returned to have super and after waiting 30 minutes without being acknowledged I left.

I’ve been to this diner a few times and this is the second time being treated with disrespect by staff. This time it was by management. I came into the diner with some family to have a business meeting over breakfast. the old woman with gray hair behind the counter was extremely rude and agitated when I asked if we could have two tables put together for the five people that were coming to meet us. I’ve worked in the restaurant industry for over 10 years and that kind of request would never bother me when the entire restaurant is empty. The gray haired woman behind the counter should be fired immediately and replaced with someone who is accommodating, friendly, and grateful for business. I won’t be back and you shouldn’t try this place.

I enjoy Atlantis Diner because they do have delicious food and I particularly enjoy their salads. However, I am not a huge fan of their service. I went once before and did not care for the way the manager spoke to me or the other staff. Then I went this week and also did not have a good experience. My cousin and I asked for plastic utensils as the ones on the table were not clean. This was thankfully provided to us but of course removed when we were done with our appetizers. Then when we accidentally asked for a plastic spoon for our entree, it was supplied. But when we asked if we can get a plastic fork as we previously made a mistake we were met with criticism from the waiter. He said something under his breath to the effect of, "Oh now you want a fork? You're doing real good." This bothered us because one it was an honest mistake that did not warrant criticism and two we didn't think it was a big deal or request especially since we ordered salads. We love the food here but the service can definitely use some improvement. Until then we may just order out but we would love to come back once the service is a little better which would improve our overall experience. Also I would like to add that Danny the busboy is a phenomenal person and we were very pleased with his helpful service.

We went for breakfast. I ordered the Eggs Benedict, coffee and juice. The server was pleasant and made sure our table had all it needed. The food was not so good. The Benedict sauce was a bit curdled and runny. It's supposed to be smooth and there was entirely too much on the plate. Clearly, it isn't made often. A dish that isn't well made should be removed from the menu. I don't like paying people who are just learning to cook. The 3 stars are for the server and host because they were nice and welcoming. But, a food establishment should have quality food as well.

French Toast, for a change(old fashioned). Well done Atlantis! Hot coffee and regularly refilled too. A special morning, it seemed, as many elected officials ( Congressman King pictured) were on hand today. A consistent, clean and easy access diner.

My coworkers and I came to have a late lunch and we're not disappointed in the slightest!-The food was amazing!-We had the best Onion rings as an appetizer and every single one of us was satisfied with our meals. Our server was a very attentive older woman with salt and pepper curly hair,I wish I could remember her name. She was so sweet and kind!-Definitely a nice environment and well kept establishment. Cannot wait to go there again!-Definitely recommend this diner!

My family always are here . We love the atmosphere. Unfortunately there was a waitress there that’s not there no more. We had such a fun and pleasant experience with her . My family doesn’t want to go back because she ( Chrissy) is not there. Hopefully she won’t be gone for long but if anyone knows where she went please let us know.

We got seated quickly, even though we had a large group of people. Food took a little while but that is expected for fresh cooked food on busy morning. Portions were large and good tasting. Perfect diner experience.

Easily accessible location with reasonably sized parking lot. Host (manager?) and server were very nice. Food was cooked correctly and we all enjoyed our meals. Huge portions. It’s pretty pricey but everything is nowadays and we like to support local businesses especially the old school diners.

Just did a takeout order got a grilled cheese no french fries and a small soup. It was $19 and it was terrible. This place used to be consistent. Their food used to be great. The service used to be great now everything has changed. The manager or owner that always sits up by the counter. All he does is talk to people and leave you waiting there to pay

Great inside atmosphere. The Wait staff was very attentive. I went there specifically for the cheesecake shake because I heard it was delish. It did not disappoint.

The diner was nice. The atmosphere was quiet. The drinks were well made. A little pricey but you pay for the area. Waffles were great home fries were the best! I've had in a long time.

Do you ever get a bad meal at a diner? Food was delicious but the cost was outrageous. A skillet is $21? This is why I don't live in New York. This is nothing against the server nor the quality of the food.

These guys make the BEST cheeseburgers and egg sandwiches I have ever had! The burgers are juicy and delicious. The eggs are fluffy, the bacon is crispy and the rolls are soft. Perfection!

It was an overall good experience, but the long Island iced tea I ordered was waaay too strong. I could only take a few sips, didn't taste like the drink, barely any tea in it.

  • 1/5 Brianna B. 8 months ago on Google
Let me start up by saying this is a disgrace to all the long island diners. We first sat down and waited 20 minutes for us to get water. Then another 20 minutes for our food order. Our appetizers came out with our food and the table had no room to breathe. Then the waiter never came back to ask if we needed anything making us unable to drink with our empty glasses. It took her 30 minutes get a glass of water and the check. i have never been to a dinner where you were here for 2 hours. I highly highly recommend you NEVER come to this diner.

I really enjoyed this diner! The food I had was great (Philly Cheesesteak), the staff were attentive, and the food got to the table rather quickly! I also enjoyed the cheesecake slice I had. Not too expensive, either!

The lovely dining spot Atlantis Diner in New York perfectly captures the allure and coziness of a traditional American diner. This eatery, which is in a busy area, is a favorite with both locals and tourists since it has a warm atmosphere and a varied menu that can satisfy every craving. The breakfast, lunch, and supper selections on the menu at Atlantis Diner are a celebration of classic diner fare. Everything from filling omelets and fluffy pancakes to delectable hamburgers and cozy handmade soups will satisfy any appetite.

My friend and I went to have breakfast. We are new to the area so this was our first time. There was plenty of parking which we didn't expect. We were seated right away by very courteous staff. Our waitperson was extaordinary and the food was delicious. We are looking forward to going again very soon.

I live two blocks away from this diner and wish I could say I love it there. Unfortunately I have to drive to Peter pan dinner to get a decent meal. I only wish this diner was good because I would be there all the time. Last time we went there the burger I asked for was well done when I asked for medium rare. This is constant at the Atlantis Diner. I was with a party of 4 and all our food was over done and all the chicken is marinated in the same gross marinade. So if you want chicken in your salad it's the same taste as a grilled chicken sandwich. Hopefully this place changes the cook and the menu

Both my wife and I had omelets (western and chef), both were made perfectly..The waitress was very friendly and constantly checking us, excellent service with a smile...definitely going back.

I was disappointed because I have gone there several times but the manager was quiet rude. When we walked into the lobby he was talking to some guest but as he walked into restaurant we were behind him and he let the door swing right at us. There were three guests waiting to be seated when we walked in and we were right behind them he went and sat them but never came back, we waited a few minutes and the cashier finally sat this. The waitress and the food worker. When we were leaving the same manager cut in front of us while talking to another guest didn't even notice that we were there. He may be friendly with his old guest but if he was planning on making new ones he didn't do a good job.

Disgusting !! Cold soup asked for salad no onions got onions asked for my steak med rare it was almost well done and the mashed potatoes tasted like sour milk! Waitress was non existent and rude! ! Sad I used to like this diner We won’t be back

Service is slow . Food was cold . I had to resend the veggie burger and french fries. When it finally came back the burger bun was hard and the French fries were hard and dried out. That is 3 strikes and I am going to better restaurants

  • 4/5 Louise S. 2 years ago on Google
Employees courteous. I waited a while for takeout because sweet potato fries were made fresh. Order was not correct, but I did not check it before I left and did not go back to correct it. Toast was cold, a little hard and butter not melted. I am grateful It is very close to Good Sam Hospital where my husband is a patient and the food was hot and tasty (except the toast) and lasted 2 days.

We have been coming here on and off for years. Every time we come from Florida we stop in. The deluxe burger platter is always our go to and the burgers were just frozen patties and completely over cooked, gross. The cookies in the case were overpriced and stale. We were so terribly disappointed by our entire experience. The food is less than sub par.

Wonderful Service, our waitress was super attentive and had a great Vibe. Great eggs / breakfast and also really good coffee.. This diner has a great positive vibe.

Very light on the staffing. Food takes awhile to get to you, and some of the staff just looks like they're completely exhausted. They really need more people working there. It's a shame really because their food is good.

They were understaffed and it was fine. I was visiting from SC where I now live. So good to come back home and experience a good old fashioned Diner. My waitress was great, food was even better

Clean, superb coffee, they clean the pots as soon as they are empty. Our breakfast was hot and delicious. Try the breakfast wraps, or the french toast. You won't be sorry. Staff was very polite and friendly.

Service was slow. I ordered whole wheat pancakes and they were not very good, compared to other w/w pancakes I've eaten elsewhere. Even my coffee refill took longer then it should have. My wife was served the wrong dish, she ordered the Western Skillet but received a SW Skillet and had to send it back. When the right order arrived she did say it was good. Usually the food and service is good here but this past Sunday it was subpar.

Eating out has become more expensive but it seems diners are the places that have been hit the most. Everything was good but the prices of kids meals seemed extra high.

The wings were crispy and tasty. Loved them. My burger came out perfect. My friend had a BLT and loved it as well. The staff was friendly and responsive. I'd have to say that Atlantis Diner is as good or better than any diner I've been to in a long time.

Worst service ever! Food wasn’t cooked, eggs were runny when they were supposed to be an omelet. Turkey was not cooked. Food is overall terrible and inedible. The women at the front desk is extremely nasty, and a terrible employee for the way she speaks to the costumers. Never come here you will waste ur time and money. After leaving my son had terrible pain.

Where do I begin my husband and I were utterly shocked when we found out our favorite waiter is no longer there, we found out the daytime manager wrongfully fired him to make room for someone she knew, out of all people one of the sweetest young waiters we ever met was let go. We stopped going there for breakfast when we realized she was the daytime manager one of the rudest women you could ever meet. He was one of the most polite, kind and patient waiters we ever met if this is how this Diner runs a business and treats their employees I will make sure no one I know ever goes there again!!!!!! To do this in itself is despicable but around Christmas time makes it worse!!! Jonathan I hope you come across this review and know that Atlantis Diner has lost one of their most valuable employees. I will never be returning to that diner because I am heartbroken over this news. They should fire this woman immediately.

My wife, son and I went here for the first time and the last. We went for breakfast, nothing crazy. Coffee, OJ, I got short stack pancakes and bacon, wife got eggs Benedict which came with potatoes and son got French toast with 2 scrambled eggs on the side. So to start for a diner, the coffee was not something you wanted a second cup of maybe top off but that’s it. Onto to eggs Benedict which is my wife’s usual order when we go out to breakfast where do I start … the “poached egg” was practically hard-boiled, the hollandaise sauce was definitely not fresh was definitely from a commercialized mix packet, the English muffin was hard to cut even with a steak knife and the “Canadian bacon” was ham. She wound up scraping off the sauce and removing the ham (which is whole purpose of eggs Benedict) and eating the rest. The only positive thing she can say is the potatoes were decent. Even the oj tasted watered down. The pancakes were on par with a store bought complete mix in a box and bacon was very greasy. The French toast was “meh” bread tasted like cheap bargain bread and did not have a grilled appearance (more like a premade frozen food aisle appearance). Then we looked up and saw a big hole in the ceiling above us with wet beams, insulation and ceiling tiles with mold and flies in it, nothing covering it and as we proceeded to leave a small piece of something from there fell into the booth next to us. The lighting fixture which was 2 tables over from us which had wallpaper and ornamental attributes was peeling and pieces were missing and looked like more is ready to drop. 1st and last time. There are so many other good diners maybe the owners should visit some of those and see how they can improve.

🫤 The food here isn't bad. Ambiance could be much much better especially for a family oriented restaurant/pizza shop.
