First time here! Absolutely delicious meal! We had a spiced margarita to start and had the most incredible cauliflower I ever had! We then had the avacado toast and the nachos. Both were cooked to perfection! The nachos were so tasty! Can’t wait to go back! The atmosphere was very vintage, with records and albums and original decor ideas. The mouse dessert was to die for!!!Our waitress was very friendly and efficient. Can’t wait to go back.

One of my favorite restaurants on Long Island! Menu is incredibly varied and always delicious. I always look forward to visiting whenever I'm in the area, and I'm sure you will too!

We enjoyed our dinner at the Purple Elephant and would recommend it if you’re looking for a nice meal in the area. They offer a good mix of vegan/vegetarian/meat dishes to satisfy most everyone. The patio was toasty warm even on the cool evening and the setting is lovely.

Vegan or non-vegan - this place is a must stop. Vegan options are incredible. And the entire dessert menu is vegan! I had the 'burnt ends' enchiladas. And I'm still thinking about them. AMAZING!

Food is incredible . Better quality food than some of my fave local spots in Costa Rica . All they’re missing is some plantains on the menu, and ceviche !

Had a really good time at this restaurant! We got the Thai Elephant Wings (phenomenal btw), Yucca fries (a little too starchy), Burnt Ends Enchiladas (suspiciously sweet?), and the rice pudding (came warm, but had no sweetness to it). Everyone loved the Elephant Wings which were actually cauliflower!

Excellent vegan food. We ordered Buffalo colliflower and nachos that you see here and then a proper whopper. Can't wait to go back.

A pretty cool establishment that serves mostly vegetarian food. I love the assortment of cuisines, they serve vegan wings, tacos and Asian inspired entrees. The nachos were so yummy and the cheese didn't even taste like cashew cheese. The vegan wings were very good but I wish it came with more than three wings. The stuffed spaghetti squash was also very delicious. The portion is very large and it was packed with green peppers, red peppers, garlic and vegan chicken. It does taste very strongly of tomatoes so you should avoid it if you hate tomatoes.

Beautiful balcony scenery to watch the sunset. They don’t take reservations for outside seating, so get there early. It’s worth it! The food was good, and the waitstaff was friendly. Very good Vegan selections. Definitely try the Cauliflower Buffalo Wings and the Avocado chocolate mousse…. Amazing!

Lunch Review: Very delicious, lots of healthy and unique choices, decent service. Located in Northport, the parking in-front of the restaurant might be tricky. Inside, the restaurant is beautifully decorated. The fireplace was going, making my experience nice and cozy. The tables were spaced far apart. I felt very safe there. It was very clean. The service was decent, nothing spectacular. I got refills when I asked but other than that, it was just ok. Tried the Horchata drink which was delicious! 5 out of 5 stars The food was so delicious. It’s nice to see a restaurant that has healthier choices. It’s a great place to come if your trying to watch your weight, but still wanting a satisfying meal out. I tried the Thai Elephant Wings as my appetizer. Wow wow wow! These are great for sharing between 1-3 people (the portion isn’t that big). The sauce was fantastic and the breading on the cauliflower was packed with flavor. The Bison Burger was also delicious! Very juicy and a healthier alternative to beef. The multigrain roll was extremely fresh. The yucca fries were just ok, I wasn’t that impressed. 4 out of 5 for my entree. Overall, I’m happy with my first trip here.

The food, environment & drinks were good i really enjoyed everything i ate. The only thing i was not crazy about was the coconut custard brûlée it was a little on the thick side not so creamy but all the flavor was there. I cant wait to go back and try some more things. We ordered Wild huckleberry sparkling lemonade Peruvian "Beef" empanadas Hickory BBQ "Carnitas" Coconut custard brulee Chocolate cake

Loved the ambiance of this restaurant that is set off a wooded street and right near the water. There is outdoor seating on their back bacolony that allows you to view the harbor and a small outdoor area at the front. The Purple Elephant statue is definitely a kid attraction, as they are compelled to climb aboard to take pics. Lot's of Vegan options, as well as some Non-Vegan. The Buffalo Cauliflower was a big hit, as well as the Shrimp Patacones with Guacamole (served on fried plantain patties), and the Onion Rings. I ordered the Vegan Bean Burger with Yucca Fries. Not a fan of the burger, but the yucca fries were yummy. The burger flavor was there, but it was not appealing to the eye and it crumbled out of the bun. I wound up eating it with a fork. We ended our meal with desserts. The mini cheesecakes were delish, but as stated on the menu, they are mini, 2 bite-sized pieces. The rice pudding was delish, but the Vegan Creme Brulee was super dry.

Went on a Saturday night and started off with some vegan appetizers and everyone fell it love … after that it went down hill our server didn’t seem like he wanted to be there and service was not great most of the staff were hardly even smiling .. and entrees were very disappointing meat was over cooked , salmon and rice lacked flavor .. may stop by again for a drink and some appetizers if service improves .

My family and I love The Purple Elephant. Even our pickiest eater loves it here and enjoys several different items on the menu. I personally love the surfers’ bowl and can easily have it every day. Whether you’re vegan or a carnivore you will find something you’ll love here. We happily drive almost an hour to get here. So worth it.

Food was really good. My wife is a vegetarian and more than half the menu is vegan friendly. However, there was definitely (hopefully?) something wrong with the air conditioner and there were more bugs flying around than I would've liked (we sat inside).

Have eaten here many times. The food is amazing. It's a great place to go if your party is a mix of meat and vegan eaters. I love the vegan dishes here (and so does my meat eating partner). The only complaint is the parking. You won't be disappointed eating here.

Amazing vegan food! I have been to so many vegan restaurants in Long Island, Brooklyn, Manhattan, LA and this is def top 5 of my all time favorite. The food is delicious, the server was very kind and accommodating with our 6 month old in a stroller. You can eat outside in the back patio where you can see a beautiful view or inside with good Cold AC. Bathroom was super clean. I loved the decoration on the walls and the vibe was very relaxed. People were very relaxed and casual as well. I felt super comfortable and the staff were smiling and very friendly. The vegan food in the pictures were all 5/5 stars! Can’t recommend this place enough. The cons: parking is limited and have sign for some spots that are limited only to 45 minutes. I ignored the time limit and was fine. Proceed at your own risk.

This plant-centric restaurant never disappoints. The Vegan Wings w/3 dipping sauces are tender and juicy. The Smashed Avocado Toast has their creamy homemade guacamole on top of ciabatta toast with a splash of heat from the chipotle mayo, but not too much as to overpower the flavors. I love the Kitchen Sink vegan salad with kale, veggies, tofu and marinated tempeh- the red beet dressing is delicious and its sweetness balances the kale. Leave room for dessert...the Chocolate Mousse w/coconut whipped cream is out of this world!!!! You will never guess it is vegan and made with avocados!

Went here on a Thursday afternoon for lunch and it was perfect! LOTS of GF options and very tasteful food. The view of the water is the perfect backdrop while dining. Will definitely be back!!

Nice and chill vibe, funky decor with skateboard shelving. Delicious vegan options except for the empanadas (greasy), okay cocktails (could use a bit more alcohol). Attentive, helpful staff.

On the outside, this place is very cute. Right on the water too! However, the food was just okay. The fries that came with the burger were not impressive and more on the disappointing side. Cute outdoor seating!

Came here on a whim. So delicious!! The menu is varied so if you are vegan, vegetarian or a meat eater, you can find something fantastic and healthy. We started with a Bloody Mary (made with sake!) and a wonderful red sangria. We ordered nachos (Not a crumb left on the plate- Amazing!) I ordered the Gonzo’s Vegan Dinner Surfer Bowl) which was delivered piping hot and was easily enough for two people) and my husband ordered the Crispy Avocado and Red Bean Tacos. Both were delicious! We finished our meal with a little mini peanut butter and chocolate cheesecake served with whipped coconut cream. The wait staff was wonderful and attentive. They answered all of our questions and came back several times to check in. We will definitely be back!

First time. Greeted and treated nice. My wife is vegan. I'm gluten-free and lactose intolerance. Our meals were delicious 😋. We could only order appetizers due to us only having about less than an hour in the area. She ordered the Mac n cheese and I had the cauliflower wings. OMG!! We are definitely going back. Excellent. Loved the vibe!!!

Service was great. Vegan options not so much. The nachos were good though. Drinks tasted like sugar water.

Great experience, great food and service. Many vegan and vegetarian choices, dishes were well prepared and tasted great. Service was attentive, yet not intrusive. Will definitely be back.

Beautiful people serving amazing food. My husband had the coconut tacos and he loved it. I had the buffalo cauliflower salad, which I enjoyed. The beef empanadas left us wanting more. The cocktails (coconut margarita) could have been a little stronger but still delicious. I would pass on the coconut brulee and just get the mousse or cheesecake for dessert.

DELICIOUS! Stopped in for a date night dinner and had such good food. We ordered mostly off the specials menu, so these might not be available in the future, but the tuna sliders and the pork enchiladas were excellent. Vegan chocolate mousse for dessert was excellent as well.

My personal favorite vegan restaurant to go to!! Always so many amazing options. And the best part is the vegan carnitas tacos!!! I would have them everyday if i could. The place is a bit small but that has never been a problem for me. I like getting to know the people near me!! And now they have table dividers due to covid so eating inside is safe as ever. and the staff is always wonderful. Really great place especially if you’re vegan.

The food used to be so good. The quality of the food has gone down significantly but the prices remain very high. This place was excellent when it first opened and we went weekly. The menu never changes. I regret spending $36 for a steak that was the size of an English muffin and way over cooked (it used to be bigger and much better). Spent $100 total on dinner and it was disappointing. Won’t spend another $1 here.
