Good food and good portions! Friendly service as well. Prices felt high (lunch, July 2022) but honestly that’s probably true wherever you’d go right now. Ordered the “Grilled Crunch Wrap” with waffle fries and it was really good!

We have been coming to this diner for years and my family for years before that. This is one of the best diners in the area and one of the best that I’ve been to in Long Island. Several years back they renovated this location but kept all the old feel/taste. My favorite meal here is breakfast but the lunch & dinner are also good. No matter what meal you go for you will always come away happy and full. The portions are more than generous, always well prepared and the prices are super reasonable. My favorite is the French toast because they use fresh brioche bread which sucks up all the batter and makes such a soft & buttery toast. The home potatoes are also one of our favorites and they can make them extra crispy (crunchy but not burnt) which is so good. We also enjoy the various salads at lunch time, also very big portions but good. Service here is also pretty amazing. Always greeted with a warm smile and hello when we arrive. Usually there is no wait for seats but if there is the wait is usually not very long. Food comes out pretty fast and the waiters are always attending to you which is helpful. Most of the tables are set up for small groups (family of 4-6) but if you need a bigger area they can accommodate. As for the pastries, I’d say there is nothing overly amazing but they do everything well so you won’t be disappointed. One of the family favorites is the cheese cakes and milkshakes. Come support local businesses and come enjoy a hearty meal with your family and friends…highly recommend!

Mother's Day Dinner, we were quickly seated. Our server was Ray. He was friendly, energetic and impressive with how he memorized our table's order, along with another table!!! And everything was correct. We started with the fried shrimp for an appetizer. The coating was nice, and they were perfectly fried. My husband had the dinner special Teriyaki Trio of steak, chicken and shrimp over rice. It came with a soup or salad, he chose Manhattan Clam Chowder. It was loaded with vegetables and potatoes, not clams and prerty flavorless. He loved the Teriyaki Trio, which was a generous portion. I ordered the Stuffed Shrimp dinner special with cream of turkey soup. The soup, while not very thick, was delicious. I got 4 shrimp over stuffed with crab meat. They were excellent. I chose spinach for my vegetable and it was deliciously sauteed. It was a great dinner and service experience.

Let’s have breakfast in Deer Park on the way to the Tanger Outlet. Never having dined in Deer Park, we relied on Google reviews for suggestions🤩. The Olympic Diner was a hit! The experience from entry to exit was wonderful. Our server Amanda was awesome. She provided these first timers with suggestions which happened to be selections discussed prior to her return. Immediately we knew this would be a great experience. Allison provided exceptional service and the meal was very flavorful, so flavorful that my mouth is watering as I type this review🤣. If you’re not a big eater I would suggest sharing a meal. You’ll definitely get your money’s worth. Taking food away when traveling is not an option for me. Any and every-time food is packed to go while on a trip, it’s wasted because it’s never eaten later. My plate would’ve been cleaned if shared (maybe next time). The location was perfect with plenty of parking and it’s a couple of minutes from the Tanger Outlet.. mission accomplished. The Olympic Diner exceeded my expectations and is highly recommended.

It was my first visit to this restaurant as I am from out of state. I thoroughly enjoyed the red velvet waffle with oreo drizzle. I had the Mediterranean omelet, and hash. The service was so good and plan on returning on my next visit in the area ^^.

Well to start their prices aren't properly reflected on their website, it said just under $15 for a Philly Cheese Steak sandwich which they charged over $19 for. Pretty sad example for over $20 with tax. My son said that the Philly from Sonic taste better.

We had speedy service and yet we didn't feel rushed. I appreciated our time there. Me and my mom came up for my dogs surgery and we left wanting to take trips back to long Island again! This place is a hidden gem in New York

A truly great experience at the Olympic Diner in Deer Park, NY. I ordered the 8oz Angus Burger Deluxe cooked medium well and that came with your choice of either Sweet Potato Fries or regular fries, lettuce, tomato and onion rings and complimentary dill pickle and Cole slaw. The order was taken and 10 minutes later came out super hot and it was delicious. The waitress was really courteous and friendly. She asked every now and then how everything was my response was excellent. I wholly recommend the Olympic Diner for great food!!

Our server was absolutely amazing, she said she was the best server there and she was!Although it may not look like it, the food was 10/10. Quick and although it’s a bit pricey it’s worth it. Everyone is super friendly and the restaurant has a very homey atmosphere.

Their burger was not good at all. Took one bite, no thank you. Mushrooms were from a can or not even cooked, not sure. The burger it self was not seasoned, tasted charred from the grill. Onion rings were okay. Left still hungry. Angus burger Deluxe : 1 out of 10

I have been a patron of the Olympic Diner since it opened many decades ago. I usually would dine it, but since the Pandemic I also did delivery. Now I do both. What a marvelous place this is. I am a senior and have many requests on my delivery orders. They are so helpful and eager to please me. I can't say enough about their food, customer relations, and caring ways. Kudos to them.

Pleasant diner with the 50’s decor. The menu was plentiful for any time of the day, any size appetite. My short stack of pancakes with bacon and extra fruit was spot ON, as well as the coffee. The waiters were nice enough to check out gluten-free options for my spouse.

Everything was good. I wish I could only order one pancake with my one egg! I had the sleeve surgery done, and I can't eat a lot of food. The waitress wasn't understanding, so I got 2 pancakes & 1 egg. Needless to say, 1 pancake went to waste! They should put a low calorie, aka WW, or something similar on the menu! I'd be happy with a seniors menu, with healthy foods, lower prices, or offer a senior discount! None of that was offered to me! And yes, I had a medical card stating my surgery.

Went here today for the first time and overall fairly average. Got the snack appetizer that had awesome sauces with the wings, chicken and mozz sticks. Also got the pork chop dinner. The chops wee delicious but the potatos were cold and corn was flavorless.

The food was great a little pricey. The seating arrangement is horrible. No space to walk through without bumping into the other table.

Now i know why this diner had no one inside. The host was no where to be found. We order two hamburgers that were burnt to a crisp and put on a stop and shop bun. Had to ask for the busboy to get check. Then its another 15 minutes for the waitress to come around. Shes was too busy flirting with the male host and playing on their cell phones. We had to go up to the register to get the check. Never again!!

Went there at 9pm on Friday a couple of weeks ago, big party of 9. Really clean and neat diner. Server was awesome. He took all our orders without taking any notes, just listen, nod and then, brought our food without a single issue. Food was awesome, from the appetizers, entree to the coffee, milkshakes, water and the whole shebang. Coffee cups and water glasses were filled regularly and our takeout was also bang on schedule. Total cost was perfect for the food we ate, the service we received and the ambience inside the diner. Scratching my head as to how we didn't know about this diner, having lived in NYC for forty years. The best among all the diners we've been to, in the tri-state area! Will definitely go there again.

The overall look of the place was nice. Standard casual diner stuff. Prices were a bit high but the portion sizes made up for it. Although I didn’t get one today, this place seems like it’s famous for it’s milkshakes. Waiters and waitresses are nice, water is good quality, food came fairly fast given how many people were there. I got the breakfast quesadilla, which was very filling and fresh. The side of sweet potato fries was a good decision as well, they were crispy but didn’t feel too fried. There weren’t many complaints at my table, although one family member wasn’t the biggest fan of the artichoke quesadilla. “Too much vinegar” she says. The bread pudding wasn’t too great either, it was too eggy for my taste. The carrot cake was good however, and I would get again!

The good: staff is friendly and the place is fairly clean. That's it. The bad: The food. My burger was absolutely soaked. It was like they dropped my burger in the sink and fished it out then served it. The onions on my burger some how had no flavor to them. It was like I was biting into water. The burger patty itself was not seasoned at all. I have never had beef where it legitimately tasted like nothing. The fries were completely unsalted as well and were the kind of fries that you'd buy in the frozen food section of a grocery store. Any fast food chain is better than what you will be served here.

Pleasantly surprised. Found ourselves in the neighborhood and stopped in. Clean, pleasant atmosphere and great food. Got the open faced Turkey dinner... Moist Turkey, fresh vegetables, cooked perfectly with a Greek salad that was better than some restaurants. Would definitely return.

Ordered an angus burger online . Said it came with tomato lettuce and french fries. Who would pay 11 dollars for 2 buns and just meat ? Then I contacted Uber eats and they say they can’t do nothing about it. I’m extremely disappointed and never ordering from here again

This diner never lets us down. Some places have good food OR good service. This place has GREAT food AND GREAT service. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. Great menu favorites for any time of day. Highly recommend!!

I wish I could rate this higher. Staff could not have been nicer, but the food was meh. I had the gyro. Fries were nice and plentiful, but gyro meat was oddly tasteless and grainy, and cucumber sauce had no flavor at all. Linzer tart was too cakey. It should have been more shortbread like in texture...

Best diner around. Great service, great food, pretty much the local place to go if you are from the area. Specials are always great and prices are very good, especially for the huge portions they give you.

Whoever answered the phone at the register is rude and lacks customer service skills and if you are related to the owner- shame on you more. My husband left his sunglasses on the table and within 10 minutes they were not found. Yes, I suggested someone took them -because yes !!! That does happen. Open your eyes. Also, your place is falling apart. :)
