My son had fun feeding and seeing the animals. They ONLY accept cash, which is a little bit of a pain. The animals are fun to interact with - though I couldn't help but feel like something wasn't right. The ostriches seemed distressed. The giraffe was very sweet but it's enclosure just seems so small. I was ignored/blown off by workers there when I pointed out that there was POISON IVY in several spots in the playground area - and again when I pointed out one of their little birds had an injured foot. Also, it is VERY expensive.

Much better experience than most nyc zoos. Had a great time here especially with all the animals you can feed/pet and see up close. Also had great picnic area and an awesome playground for kids. Love this place. Hopefully will visit again. Make sure to take sunscreen with you 😭 i was left with a sunburn although i had applied sunscreen prior to visiting 😅 Best place for a family visit ❤️

Had an awesome time with our grandson and daughter in law at White Post Farms! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Animals are very healthy looking. Our favorite was the giraffes and the bird enclosure. We ordered fresh food from the Cafe and ate in the court yard. Very pleasant day! Highly recommended!!

Who knew we could feed giraffe on Long Island???? Although it's about $22 to get in pp, it is really well worth it! We go to all the Zoos and Aquarium s, this was really a lot of fun! Up and close to Zebras, spider monkeys, having birds fly to you and hand feeding them...it was such a great day! Really, it is so worth it! And to hand feed the Giraffe, it brings out the kid in you! Plenty of umbrellas tables for eating and a good food area serving hot dogs, burgers and fries and chicken fingers.(don't get the pizza) ..there is a ton to eat and do!

Amazing place for both the kids and the parents. This farm really allows you to interact with the animals. You are able to feed them and even have your child enjoy a small pony ride. There are many playgrounds that the little ones can run around and play in as well. Inside, they have a giraffe where they allow every individual to freely feed it a slice of carrot. Only downside is that many parts of the farm were closed when we went. We were unable to see the magic show and none of the food stands were open. And a word of advise before going is to make sure you bring cash because they do not accept credit cards. But overall, a great place to take the kids!

The farm is a true haven of natural beauty and enchantment. With delightful pony rides, a captivating hayride, a chorus of cheerful birds, and a menagerie of friendly animals, it's a paradise for nature lovers of all ages. The farm's delectable food offerings add to the experience, making it a perfect destination for a magical day out in the countryside.

A beautifully designed place that is well maintained and has lots of fun things for kids of various ages to do! Can easily spend 5 hours here. It is a little pricey as you have to pay for additional animal feed and excursions. But I believe it allows them the ability to upkeep the place and have it looking so good and clean. In short, love this place and will definitely be returning!

Great place!! Great Farm too!! Spend a wonderful day with my family My son enjoyed fed the animals a bucket of animal food costs around $6 and they offer milk bottles to fed the goats for $3 don’t forget the pony ride costs $5 and change, train ride it’s the same price too and adults can ride too! Snacks are available too, they have hot dogs, fries and much more. Hay rides, pumpkin picking and more fall treats are soon available. There is also a small shop in the front so you can take a souvenir. Be aware some animals like the giraffes are not Available in colder months. Don’t hesitate visiting this place!!

Nice place to visit! My 22 month old son had so much fun! I took one star off because it's cash only business during the weekdays. They also charge entrance fees on people from the age of 16 month old and up. The entrance fee is a bit expensive but there are a lot of things to enjoy as a family! We had a great time! BTW, the $25 apple pie was okay. Nothing special.

What a fun place!!!!! Whoever came up with this idea needs a medal!!!!! Went there on a weekend, the place was packed, but even so it wasn't crowded, the farm is pretty big and the weekend ticket includes almost all of the attractions and shows, except for the pony ride and feed for the animals. Their Landing birds part was absolutely endearing with those little parrots landing right on your head to enjoy the food. My daughter loved feeding animals( giraffes, Brahman cattle, goats, sheep, miniature cows, miniature horses, ponies, zebras, monkeys),loved her pony ride and the Texan Family show, that included dog show and we didn't even do a few other things, like the hay ride, puppet show, magician show and painting pumpkins, which is definitely something for the next time. The only downside is okay food, which is overpriced, but that's how it usually is in any place of fun.

I visited for the fall festival and was not disappointed! There were so many animals to see (and feed/pet!), kid-friendly activities and experiences to enjoy. We loved visiting the bird exhibit and feeding the birds (be careful; they can bite). That exhibit gets crowded very quickly, so I recommend going there first and then seeing the giraffes right after (these are the two most popular exhibits). There's also a great playground kids will enjoy and pony rides, as well as hayrides. While the roasted corn and apple cider donuts are great, the other food options left much to be desired. There weren't many kid-friendly food options for picky eaters. Bring cash (a lot of it!) and arrive early, if you can. You can expect to spend at least 3-4 hours here. Enjoy!

My visit to the pumpkin patch at this farm was an absolute delight! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by the warm, rustic charm of the place. The sprawling fields were a sea of vibrant orange. The atmosphere was filled with laughter and excitement as families roamed the fields, searching for the perfect pumpkin. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with nature and enjoy quality time with loved ones. To top it off, the farm offered a range of fun activities: playground, small animal zoo, different shows. I left the farm not only with pumpkins but also a heart full of gratitude for the simple joys of autumn and the wonderful experience provided by this charming farm. If you're looking for a quintessential fall adventure, don't miss out on visiting this pumpkin patch – it's an absolute must!

The farm is a nice size not to big nore to small perfect for small kids under the age of 10. Also they have plenty on sanitation stations and hand washing stations. Loved it. I came with 4 kids ages between 7 month - 5 years of age and they all had a great time. I will keep on coming with my family.

My son is a animal lover so I take him to a lot of animal farms but this farm was different than all the others. It was very spacious and clean farm, interiors are beautiful, the staffs are very friendly. There was a magic show that was awesome. Wish the train ride was open. The Giraffe experience was the best. Absolutely loved it……..highly recommend it!

Awesome!!!! What a great time the kids and I had!! The petting/feeding zoo was fun and open with no restrictions other than socially distancing. They had hand wash and sanitizing stations everywhere! The aviary was fantastic the birds eat from your hands, land on your head, shoulders and are pretty friendly although the birds don’t let you let them. They also had like a mini zoo with camels, zebras, giraffes, Brahma bulls, etc. All the staff were very friendly and hospitable. We had a fantastic time. Would highly recommend for people with small children. Oh and they have pony rides!!

Absolutely wonderful place to bring your child/children. Everything from rides to magic shows to animals and games. Our favorite things to do are the pony rides and the aviary. Everything is reasonably priced for a wonderful time. My 5 yr old loves it here. Everything from feeding the goats to watching the camels and giraffes. Cant recommend this place enough! The staff is also very friendly and helpful.

We had such a great time at White Post Farms yesterday…especially our 3yr old daughter! Feeding the giraffe was a blast, and they have an, unexpectedly, very impressive variety of animals.. The staff was helpful and the space was a lot of fun to explore. Some advice - - Bring Cash - Bring quarters - Go on a weekday morning - Buy your tickets online beforehand

It’s was great. It’s small but kids will love it. I think the price was right due to the fact you get to be up close and feed them. But it’s CASH a ONLY. If the kids want to ride it’s paid separately. Over all my 5 yrs love it .

This is our second time visiting the white post farm at Melville. Fall festival seems better in terms of more people and more activities but that prices are high. We went last summer and paid $16/an adult and now $34/adult person. But it felt good spring the afternoon with family. Weather was great and loved the hayride a lot.

My son absolutely loves this place. We have been coming here for years. We’ve had his birthday here. The fall festival is great, they have pumpkin picking, hay rides and open concession stands. I recommend coming in the morning when they open, that’s when the animals are hungriest.

This place is amazing! Where else can you feed giraffes?? Also, pony rides, train rides, feeding lots of other animals! I went during Sukkot and there was a Sukkah there! Also pumpkins and hay rides (didn't do that, and the corn maze was closed). I went on a Friday afternoon and a lot of things were closed, but it was still very fun and so much to do! I just wish the store was open later. The kids also loved the playground Note: while the giraffe feeding is included with admission, almost everything else requires cash/quarters, so be sure to bring plenty. There are quarter machines.

Great place to go with family members of all ages. The line for the Giraffe experience may be a little long, but moves fast and it's definitely the best experience there!!! Feeding the animals is always a fun activity to do for kids and adults. The aviary is very nice, the birds actually do fly to you as long as you are holding a feeding stick. The monkeys are ADORABLE!. They have very good shows at different times making it a nice moment to take a break and continue entertaining while sitting for a little bit. The pumpkin area for the pictures is nice and has tons of beautiful pumpkins. There is a playground area, a picnic area with tables, food shops. You must get their apple cider donuts, I usually get them without the additional sugar they cover them with because that's just too much sugar and too sweet for my taste, but those donuts are warm, fresh, soft delicious!. The warm apple cider vinegar is a perfect alternative to hot chocolate or coffee if you'd like to try something different and it also tastes very good. They also sell other foods like tacos, brisket, burgers, fries, cookies, cupcakes, cotton candy, popcorn, caramel apples, and roasted corn. Make sure you bring cash, they only take card payments at the entrance, everything else you must pay for in cash (there is an ATM inside). Parking is free. Great place. Loved it and will definitely go every year.

So fun! Was here last spring and again this may. The giraffe was out this year when we went to it was fun to see her up close. The goats are the best pet. They’re so cute and such a fun time feeding them and seeing the babies. I do think the price has gone up several dollars from last year though :(

This place is amazing for young kids and even for adults too )) we really had a great time here with our kids. My eldest one enjoyed riding a pony for the first time. The bird part was really fun because as soon as you enter that area, the parrots fly towards you and they don’t even scared of you 😃😅 and they start to walk onto your body. That was an amazing experience. And you can see some exotic animals such as giraffes, zebras, camels and ostrich birds also you can feed them. And seeing a giraffe from close and feeding them with carrots was so fun and surreal, because in reality you don’t get to see them so close or even feed them. And the magic show was very interesting! There are many things to see and we also had a chance to pat the rabbit since it was Easter Day that day. All I could say is this place is a must visit place especially when you have kids. We love this place and definitely decided to come back when it gets warmer😍👍😃🥳 by the way there are also playgrounds for the kids and you should come earlier if you decide to visit this place.

Nice little farm. Great fun for kids. I feel like the farm had a lot more to it but seems like part of the farm was closed. The pony ride was good fun. A little rushed because the pony wanted to walk pretty fast but the kids still enjoyed it. The monkeys, lemurs and birds were fun to watch and interact with. All in all the kids loved it. Good for a day visit 👍

Upon entering the establishment me and my now fiance we're welcomed by the warm and friendly staff with open arms and smiles. All the animals activities and amenities were amazing. Loved being able to experience feeding animals by hand at such a well kept establishment. Me and my fiance can tell that the animals are cared for and very happy. Enclosures are kept very clean. I want to personally think Liam in the bird aviary for recording my proposal to my fiance. I couldn't be happier with my experience and want to think White Post Farm for me and my fiance's special day. November 7th 2021 an amazing day to remember at White Post Farms. Will definitely be coming back.

Great place to take the family for pumpkin picking during the season. Off-season the farm is open to see animals and take part in feeding them, there is an area for birds. One can go in and interact and feed the birds. The animal foods are at a minimal cost or you can choose to get a small bucket with seeds, and milk bottles to feed the animals appropriately...There are several play areas for children, a hayride, an area for concerts and a large food court area. The farm also has a large green house to get in season plants for sale and lastly a store to purchase farm made items like pies, ground foods, jams, honey, peanut and almond butters. Give it a try! The kids will love it!

We went yesterday with our one year old and this will definitely be a yearly tradition. The farm is packed with so many fun activities for kids of all ages. The petting zoo stands out the most in my opinion. There are so many animals and most of them can be fed. The cages are spaced out appropriately too which makes it easier for social distancing. They have a ton of park areas for smaller kids, my daughter loved that most 🤦‍♀️ Tons of pumpkins to choose from I was also impressed with the wide range of fall foods and snacks. They had a magician, hay ride, train, Pony rides, and a corn maze. Overall a great time and many fun things to do.

This farm is without a doubt the best one we have yet to visit, there are so many things happening for the kids that I kept my 3 year old entertained from 11ish to around 5pm . You can purchase online tickets ahead of time or you can buy them at the entrance with an only cash option, price was about $30 per person including the little ones however, this farm is huge, well kept, clean and most importantly all the farm animals looked in good condition & are extremely loving & friendly. You can buy fast food, snacks, apple cider donuts (yum), fresh made delicious pies ( I went with banana-walnut) among others. The playground area they have is indeed fantastic for toddlers and the highlight of the farm are the majestic giraffes, they offer carrot sticks so you can feed them & since I went on a Friday there was actually no line. I found this farm an amazing place for kids to explore, venture & merge into the farm life & nature & bond with family-friends & create awesome memories. Bags & Milk bottles to feed the animals have an additional cost, same as the bird experience & train ride. My daughter fell in love with the giraffe experience so I’m sure I would be back very soon.

This is a great place to take the family. Everything was fantastic. The only issue I had was with the payment process. They don't have a person that handles the credit payments. They do everything through the internet. I was told what to do, but some people are not phone "literate" and may need extra assistance when paying by credit. Some people may not have internet access on their phone without wifi as well. Whitepost farms doesn't accept debit card either. This limits payment options 😔, and may hinder their business slightly. Other than that, this place is great for families! Had a fantastic time.

It was $35 per person older than 2 years and it doesn’t include the pumpkins and they’re $0.65 per pound! The food for the farm animals are $0.25 and the small bucket full of farm animal food was like $7! The food is a little pricey the caramel apples are $7 if you wanna feed the birds one stick is $3! The animals are beautiful and well maintained!

Great experience overall but beware, the toys there are pricey🤷‍♀️

Playground was phenomenal! I took my 3 year old niece and as soon as she spotted it the animals meant nothing. I thought the zoo itself was ok. The animals were very aggressive to get food, which made my niece scared and she did not want to feed them. It was a lot money to mostly spend time on a playground.

Fun farm. You can buy animal feed with quarters. There is a change machine inside. I went on a rainy day and the staff were very nice. They offered to reschedule our tickets but we decided to stay, and luckily, the rain stopped soon after. The giraffe exhibit is a must-go.

Although initially surprised at the price of admission, I must say that seeing the excitement and joy on my grandchildren's faces was well worth it. The extra costs of feeding the animals, the pony rides, the milk bottles for the baby goats-all added up. So, a bit pricey overall. However, all staff was welcoming, pleasant and professional. Everything appears to be well maintained and the animals cared for. I would recommend White Post Farms as a special family activity.

The place is good for kids. Your kids will have feeding food to animals. The only reason I am giving 4 stars is the way I feel about animals behind bars. It was my family who forced me there. My 8 years old son however had a blast.

Really cool farm. It is a bit on the expensive side $30 per person, but it's actually worth it. They have very exotic animals from giraffes to zebras and more common animals like goats and sheeps that you can pet/feed. All the attractions are free the only thing you have to pay for is if you want to feed the animals.

White Post Farms is amazing! My family and I went there on a quick decision and we loved every moment of it. I have two children, 4 and 2 years of age and they had a great time. There are several different types of farm animals that they can feed and pet. A singing chicken show and other activities as well such as pony ride and hay rides. I will say this about the pony rides, the cost is $6 per token, which is per child; what I didn’t like was that 1- its a quick ride due to the waking distance of the path and 2- the staff members walking the ponies walk at a faster than normal pace and when you speak to them they do not acknowledge you. The ride lasts between 1-2 minutes for those $6 per child and for that I removed 1 star from my review. There's a pumpkin patch where you can take beautiful photos and even purchase! Also, there are several play areas with slides and little shacks to play in. On the other end of the farm, there is a corn field but we didn't make it there. Overall we are very satisfied with our visit and would 100% recommend to others!

Its a cute and cozy place. I liked their little grocery shop. Nicely organized. They hold animal party all year around. Just have to keep up with when. Usually $20 per person but may change. I would go there again.

One of the best place for kids to interact with animals... Where else do you get to pet a giraffe. Definitely recommend!

This place is huge mostly outdoors and Amazing!! They have LEMURS! A bit pricey, must have cash on hand and quarters for the food to feed the animals. Expect to spend at least $25.00 per person including children. The farmers market section is nice. In my opinion it's $$$ but worth it if you spend many hours there.

First time visiting with my 3 year old. She loved it...highly recommended the farm. There is tons to do and we loved experiencing the Fall feel of the farm at this time or year. Definitely will make it a yearly tradition.

Ok where should I start the drive here was good from entering this farm there was a lot of parking very very large place. When you are entering there is a store and a fresh organic farm store that sells fresh produce also the store sells all kinds of toys decor for fall Christmas etc. very farm like also from the moment you enter the farm u can smell the animals which it’s a farm so that’s ok. You will see lots of animals like cows, goats, sheep, birds, monkeys, cows, camels, alpacas, pony’s,and more you get to feed almost all of the animals and kids gets to ride the pony and feed the giraffe , free hayride, pumpkin patch and more fall festivities which is fun for all to enjoy. We definitely had a blast and will definitely go back. You have to pay for kids 16 months and above for 22 and change which is definitely worth the experience so definitely go check this out.

Huge farm w/ an animal park, pumpkin farm, etc. Gets super crowded during the weekend so I recommend getting the tickets online as there’s a separate entrance for those who pre-purchased. Quite high pricing of ~$35 per adult on the weekend. There are several shows happening throughout the day but if you’re in a rush, suggest checking the show times in advance.

Great experience for kids with lots of animals, train ride, pony ride. You can feed Giraffe and take a picture. Lots of other exotic animals. Though I pity these animals living so far away from their natural wild habitat. Lots of play areas for kids to explore. They have light snacks available in the farm. Carry your own.
