I'm perplexed that everyone likes this dumpy little beach. It has very little to offer and $30 day pass is obscenely overpriced. How can the town demand that with a straight face? Huntington rakes park users over the coals for access to these measly waveless stretches of pebbles, permeated with sand flies, and distinguished from the rest of the LI coast solely by the fact that they're not private property. CA, in contrast, charges $10 or less for some of the most spectacular beaches in the country and are far more pleasurable to visit. The coasts of the great lakes far surpass these pathetic "parks" as well.

Nice park with a view of the water. Usually come after 6pm when the parking is free. Depending on the weather prepare yourself to get bitten by gnats.

What??? $75 for a non-resident day pass?!!! absurd for a beach that is rocky and not on the ocean. We were visiting from out of town and luckily our host (my mother) was able to get us in for free as she is a resident. I will say though... the ice cream truck that came to the parking lot had amazingly good frozen custard!

A quaint little beach nestled in a quiet community, this beach is very pretty, no lifeguard though, so don' fall in! There are sings for no dogs on the beach, but plenty of local residents allow their dogs to wander with no leash, so be careful, the small ones have no training! But all in all a nice place.

Definitely on of the best beaches for sunset, as it faces west. Quaint Beach, not too rowdy.

Very nice town beach with picnic area and playground. The sand is nice. Becomes very rocky toward the water.

Covid parking restrictions make it a tough choice. No count is kept of vehicles entering/exiting, so even if lot is full, vehicles just get waived on in, finding no spots left. Have to wonder what correlation is given to # of cars versus people/available space within distancing guidelines math. Just reducing parking spaces by half seems knee-jerk without something to back it up.

There is a large beach with two swimming areas and a beautiful water wiew. On the day we visited, there was a light rain and a group was enjoying the large sheltered area tith tables and playing soccer in the parking lot. Some swimmers went into the water. The thing that is unusual about the beach are all the kayaks stored at the beach. The bathrooms were clean and the staff was helpful.

Amazing views of centerport harbor and northport bay. Quiet and calming beach with not too much public during most days. Weekends tend to be busier however since it is a local beach still better then most others. There is also a tennis court and a playground for you and the family to enjoy.

Great beach. Usually fairly quiet. This past Sunday for some reason it was very crowded.

Clean beach with life guards during the season. Reasonably clean restrooms. I suppose dogs are not allowed on the beach. You need seasonal beach parking permit to park here, between Memorial and Labor Days.

We love Centerport Beach. It has just what we need without anything fancy. It has facilities and close parking. It’s just what the doctor ordered.

$30 to park if you are not a resident, no dogs allowed. Even though people post dog pictures… no dogs.. unless it’s in the parking lot in on a leash.

  • 4/5 Karen H. 7 months ago on Google
A nice little beach. It's very stoney so water shoes are needed. Lots of stones for children to explore. It also doesn't have huge waves so can be easier for.little kids to.enjoy the shoreline.

  • 5/5 Robert R. 5 months ago on Google
Beautiful view, free to residents with pass and pass is free for those over 65. Itcan be obtained at the beach. Whether you go in the water or not, it is worth visiting.

I am in love with this amazing place. You can't really get there without paying the fee since mostly locals go there. however, if you are in the area and just want to get there for a walk, you can do it after hours and still enjoy the sunset and peaceful views. I go there in early fall as well to just sit in a chair and read a book or enjoy a nice short walk with my loved ones.

🫤 Kind of a bummer and I'm sad to write potentially their first negative review. The good: The beers. We had the stout and the hefeweizen. Sustainability. They use compostable plates, cups, utensils. Their veggies are organic. The bad: Visually, it struggles with an identity. Bright blue floors and...
