My wife and I needed a place for a short "stay-cation" about a month ago, and often have a difficult time finding a place knowledgeable and flexible enough for MCS (Multiple Chemical Sensitivity). Most places use industrial cleaners, standard detergents and "green" cleaning supplies, which can cause havoc on the chemically sensitive (many green cleaners are still highly toxic when exposed). Not only was Deirdre knowledgeable and well versed in many of our challenges, she took the time to listen to our list of requirements. Once she understood our needs, she went FAR above and beyond to make other comfortable arrangements for us that left us astounded. We've been to other hotels, motels, and B&B's, and very few came even close to taking the interest in our comfort and needs. From the first moment Grace inquired about what products they use to clean the location and launder their linens, to the moment we left after almost a week at this historic home, we felt like family. Deirdre is so gracious! She took every opportunity to ensure we were comfortable, and to really listen to all that was said as well as that which was not. She doesn't miss a thing. I have been in the Hospitality industry for a long time, and I really appreciated the attention to details; the "going the extra mile" as we say in the biz. Anticipating the needs of the guests is one of the specialties of Harbor Rose. Beds were comfy, the view was amazing (stayed on the second floor with the balcony), and a cozy working fireplace! There were many amenities like the really great organic, gluten-free vegan breakfast bundles that were provided daily for all their guests, You could see and taste they were made with love. The home baked breakfast breads were outstanding, the fruits and snacks on point, and the other included goodies were very thoughtful! The water was filtered in the entire home too! I can't say enough great things about our experience. We look forward to the next rendezvous. Many blessings 🙏.

Lovely inn in Cold Spring Harbor. We had 2 rooms, 1st and 3rd floors which were both very clean and comfortable. Deidre was a very accommodating hostess who allowed us to bring our dinner back to the inn and eat in the sitting room. There was a nice sitting area outside on the deck but too cold yet for us to use. Coffee and tea available 24 hours as well. Would definitely recommend.

I got married on July 15, 2023 and I knew the Harbor Rose would be the perfect place to stay since my parents had stayed there before. It is so elegant, beautiful, and what an amazing view. Deirdre, the owner and her daughter are such kind and amazing people. First class customer service too! They always answered our text messages/phone calls if we had a question. I got ready for my wedding in the room and my photographer took photos there too. What an amazing place to stay for getting ready for a wedding and after the wedding. My husband stayed there too and he loved it. My parents stayed there too and it was so nice to be together there. Thank you so much! Adriana and Edward

We recently stayed several nights and would highly recommend! An assortment of breakfast items and homemade baked goods were left in our room the day before. Made it easy for us to wake up, eat on our own schedule and then see the sights. The room was very comfortable and the house was beautiful with many common areas inside and out to relax. We loved the location and our host Deirdre was very helpful and knowledgeable whenever we had questions about the area.

My mother in law recently stayed at the Harbor Rose for 4 days. Everything was absolutely perfect. Deirdre was an incredible host, the house is immaculate and beautifully appointed, breakfast and amenities superb. I will be recommending the Harbor Rose to everyone I know!

Attention to every detail! We loved the breakfast bags with homemade muffins, fruit, juice, energy bar. I love the coffee nespresso. We appreciated the cleanliness, comfortability of the Inn and the friendliness of the owner. Very cute little harbor town and lovely harbor. Views are beautiful. An excellent place to stay.

Deidre runs a tight ship and you can tell by how clean and all the details in the home from the quality of the water to the daily breakfast. My husband and I truly enjoyed this peaceful and beautiful experience.

Beautiful old building with so much character. The rooms are super clean. You are allowed to use the living room as you wish so we played Yatzee. Our two pugs were allowed to stay with us (for a fee) However, when you consider the costs of keeping a BnB as clean and immaculate as this one is, there are costs to maintain the building. Deirdre is super flexible as far as hours to come and go and very accommodating to anything you might need. Would definitely recommend and will stay here again.

This Bed and Breakfast should drop the breakfast portion. While the 170 year old house is beautiful and very well kept, the breakfast is not what I would call breakfast. The breakfast consists of a little bag with a banana a pear (over ripe) , a little can of mango/pineapple juice, a little plastic container of oatmeal that you have to put hot water in and a homemade sort of muffin. Your given 1 bottle of water each. If you want more water, it costs 5 dollars a bottle. We had 2 small dogs with us and paid for their stay 50.00 per dog for each day, and a 130.00 clean fee. I would not go there again, but to each their own.

    Property foreclosed don't do it.

Not great. Bathrooms in the hallway (NOT en-suite). Breakfast is a muffin in a bag, not real “bed and breakfast” breakfast… noisy teens, poorly behaved dog, smells like someone was smoking in or around the house … I would not return. Also Way too expensive for what it was.

I love this house, so beautiful and comfortable, a very relaxing experience for getaway and you can enjoy hiking right behind the house, I also enjoyed the hot water shower very much. Thank you for your hospitality!

We booked a room at Harbor Rose adding worry free booking . I highly recommend that you add this to your booking, We did not ever think that we would need to cancel but sadly we did have to cancel due to an injury my husband has. The worry free book literally was worry free . We submitted his receipt from the urgent care and received a refund. We truly look forward to getting to Harbor Rose to enjoy the sights and explore when we can .

A lovely property across from the harbor and very close to shops and restaurants. Backs onto a state park with hiking trail. The house and rooms were super clean, and the hostess took great pride in providing all the details needed for a pleasant stay. We enjoyed our weekend here and would highly recommend the bed and breakfast to anyone coming to the area.

We have booked this accommodation and our money has been taken....we are outside and it is empty. We received email confirmation just a week ago 29th November. Do NOT book this.

I barely know where to begin! I can't stop taking walks indoors and out, with my phone set on Video. Just hoping to preserve the experience forever, and to share it. The people (and doggie) who created this place are just lovely. Every touch in every room is sweet and imaginative and cozy and meaningful. This place gives you something you need, even if you don't know you need it. To think this is just a short ride out of Manhattan and accessible to so many stress-inducing areas ~ It's the answer! #InLove

We stayed for 1 night in the Victorian room. Deidre has made an elegant and luxurious B&B into a stay where every detail is well thought out and made us feel special. Soft robes, slippers, special soaps, immaculate rooms with elegant bedcovers, sheets, and towels, and organic healthy breakfast added so much to the visit. We ordered the chilled champagne (it was our anniversary), which we enjoyed out on our private balcony overlooking the water, and we had a very relaxing foot detox soak which was definitely worth it. The Harbor Rose is a step above a standard hotel and Deidre made our special day even more special.

I loved my stay at the Harbour Rose. What made it so great: - walking distance from the street in town with curio and coffee shops - waking distance from the harbour and local park - had a beautiful view from the balcony - the most delicious homemade baked goods for breakfast (we were given a break bag with oats, fruit and baked goods!) - coffee machine downstairs to help yourself to coffee and tea

A lovely greeting by the inn keepers, started our visit with such ease and relaxation. We found it so peaceful, serene. The house is beautifully kept and enjoyed our time. Our favorite part was the complimentary Nespresso AND complimentary Qigong Healing Treatment. Definitely will be looking out for future events here, especially those pertaining to self rejuvenation and revitalization. Cannot wait for another stay. Thank you so much.

We stayed at the Harbor Rose while visiting family in Queens. An oasis just outside the city. Violetta, Dierdre and her family were warm and hospitable, couldn't have made us feel more welcome. The rooms are immaculate, atmosphere calm and welcoming, and the breakfast goodies were delicious. We would certainly recommend to anyone visiting the city.

What an adorable bed and breakfast. Cozy, comfortable, friendly owner and the shower is to DIE FOR. The water pressure is so good. We had a very pleasant stay.

Had a wonderful stay here! Booked last minute but Deirdre was welcoming and accommodating nonetheless. My room was very comfortable and breakfast (complete with freshly baked homemade muffins) was delicious! Would absolutely stay here again!
