I don't know who can give this place anything but one star. I'd give them 0 if that was an option. Nurses don't do nothing in Clove lakes, but worry about their lunch, and apparently, their lunch breaks are throughout the whole shift. You cannot get ahold of a nurse or aid even if your life depends on it. They don't pick up the phone and it happened so many times that I'm in there with my mom and I can't find anyone from the staff if I need help with anything. I'm talking specifically about 2nd floor. The staff never answers on calls from patient's rooms. My mom is legally blind and she needs help with small things like getting her weather appropriate clothes, or cup of water or fixodent for her dentures. She's been waiting this morning for water for a whole hour. It happened several times that she didn't get a shower because an aid "doesn't feel like it, or is tired". We cleaned her room multiple times and even left a note to keep it the way it is, to place clothes at the same spot after washing, so my mom can get around as much as she can on her own, but every time we come there, her clothes is not the way we left it. Once it happened that I had to come and take her to shower because no one showered her for more than a week. Whenever there's dr appointment for my mom, we take her and then again we have to argue and wait for the paperwork, nothing is ever ready. They don't follow dr orders, they don't respect residents and treat them like less than a person. Nobody is there because they want to be there, people are there because they need help and extra care, but Clove lakes workers don't care. From aids, to nurses, supervisors to doctors, nobody cares. Management especially. We complained so many times on different places, we have spoken with our mom's social worker, we spoke with head nurse for her floor, we spoke with supervisor, nothing ever changed. They all promising "it's gonna get better, we'll look into it" and nothing ever changes. Do better Clove lakes from top to the bottom, it seems nobody is doing their jobs, just collecting paychecks and that's not fair to the families and especially to their loved ones that live in this place

This facility is definitely not what is not deserving no 4 stars. My sons father was in this nursing for over a year he recently passed away in this facility recently. He did suffer over his stay in and out the hospital here. Over the summer he hospitalized for pneumonia and STAGE 3 BEDSORES! A sure sign of nursing malpractice. They did not take proper care of him. Also gave his Aunt a tremendous hard time

Great place, wonderful rehabilitation. The nurses are great! Except for some small speed bumps, (sometimes lack of nurses to help the patients, this place incredible. 19 out of 19 stars. I think this is the best place here ny to get healed. If there is anyone who is on the fence about coming here, then I want to be the first to say that you should come here. The staff is the friendliest even compared to those expensive hospitals in NYC. the clove lake staff is A Number one, with me. No worries at all.

My husband says that the food is terrible. His emergency call button has been broken since he entered the facility. He has not received PT or OT. He is being ignored. We feels that he is getting weaker. This is not the place for someone you love or for yourself. Please think twice before using this facility. We need compassion and proper medical treatment, but this is not the place for this. I hope it can be made better for all patients.

The staff is friendly and nice, the rooms could be a little cleaner and the staff could help keep the room a little more organized for the patients that can’t do much for themselves. I don’t know why they have the patients eating in the hallways if they have a room, that’s not a pleasant sight to see as a first time visitor. Overall, the nurses take good care of my grandmother and I do appreciate all they do.

Clean nursing facility. They also have rehab for people that need it. Once entering you are greeted by staff. Nurses and aides look happy.

I spent Feb Mar and April of 2022. For skilled physical therapy after my hospital stay in Jan. I found that this is the best facility for therapy for anyone . All therapists are very good. Can't say enough about them and the best was all the aids and nurses Deena Michelle maureen and Steve. To name a few were very compassionate and always there when needed. 2 supervisors Kim and Anthony were always there when needed. I would recommend clove. And don't forget housekeeping Sharon Jason and all others were very helpful. And always went out of their way for all residents. Thank you. Clove Lakes

My mother has been a resident at Clove Lakes for almost a year. She had a massive stroke last December, and is undergoing rehabilitation. Despite her age of 93, she’s been showing substantial progress. Her speech is slowly reinstating. Her understanding is improving. Her motions are more coordinated and balanced. I am grateful to the staff of Clove Lakes for these results and for giving us a hope of further recovery for my mother.

My MIL has been at Clove Lakes for about two months and has been very well taken care of. Her favorite aid is Abraham and Sally, her rehab professional, is outstanding. She goes above and beyond. Kupta is also one of her fav’s. The administrative staff is excellent especially Kelly who checks in on her frequently! We hate that she’s not in her own home but so happy she is getting good care.

My husband has now been a resident for two years. He has been given best of care from both his nurses and diligent aides. As I visit my husband every day; I only wish that the parking was better; but being realistic, that is a headache all over the Island.

I want to thank all the staff for taking care of my mother-in-law. Thanks to nurses and CNA's especially to Ms. Adewumi, Ms. Phyllis and Mr. Jean our physiotherapist Ms.LiLiana Bernal. At the Clove Lake rehabilitation center we were treated with attention, warmth and care. Everyone helped my mother-in-law regain her physical shape and return to an active lifestyle. Thank you very much and Happy Holidays!!!

I wish I could give this place Zero stars. It was the worst 2 days ever before we got my parent out of there. Beware of the promises Jane makes to you. She’s a sales person looking to fill beds. Everything she told us was a lie. They were un attentive to my elder parent. They basically put him in a bed in a dirty room and forgot about him. I could go on and on, but there is nothing redeeming about this place. Stay away!!!

Mom Has been in C.L for over one year overall we have experienced a good care review 3 We Sincerely recommend improvements that MUST be made to ensure better quality and overall better reviews.. A. Overnight shift must be better supervised and have appropriate staffing Mom has been left laying in Urine for hours without anyone answering Patient call button and Passing on duties to next shift is completely unacceptable!! B) Food needs a major make over I have witness uncooked portions and dirty trays. C) some of New workers needs better training and should not be hired just to fill a position.. Morning shifts at least on my mom floor get good reviews very proactive, Evening shifts get fair reviews. Some staff are of 5star plus and deserve outstanding Accolades....These improvements will make C.L a better living experience maybe even 5stars

My first time here as a vendor during the Center's Holiday Market on Tues, Dec 19., selling my jewelry collection (Touchstone Crystal, a Swarovski Company.) Matt McGuire made me feel welcome. He introduced me to a several attendees and staff. He checked in on me and others during the event to make sure we had what we needed. All in all, a very pleasant and successful event for me. Looking forward for a repeat visit.

I have to share what a positive experience Clove Lakes provides. Having been on the rehab unit, I can only provide positive feedback. The staff are top notch and treat their residents and each other with respect. They are welcoming and warm to visitors and embody truly compassionate care to the residents, it’s really impressive. I would gladly have any one of my loved ones cared for here.

My dad has been at the facility for a few days. The staff is so nice and always ready to answer a question or provide information on my dad’s health. He does not enjoy the food and hardly eats any of it. The elevators are extremely slow and need to be replaced! I know he will get good care though which is my top priority!

I was happy to recognize several stellar employees during National Nurses Week for their compassionate care for my brother. Kadala, Kristie and Isa’s nursing care is unrivaled and Nerlande, CNA is a shining star who is always eager to help brighten my brothers day. Jay, PT transporter, goes above and beyond to visit my brother daily even when not assigned for his care. And April, Nursing Supervisor, faithfully provides weekly special services as part of my brother’s brain cancer care. Thank you to all the Clove staff who help make living with a terminal illness more manageable and positive!

My has been a resident on the 2nd floor for 2 years she paralyzed on the left side cannot walk or get out of bed. She just stays in bed they nursing staff and aids never move her and not she has a namonia and when you call to have her dipper changed the staff is always on a 2 hour or more lunch breaks and two aids actually want to help you Seymour and Sieta....they use to and leaves her food container on her table and her candy and say that changed my mom dipper but did t and does give her water I buy my mom a case a water every two week and it never goes down and the morning g aid sits in the hall waiting her time to leave I do not think they should be treating people like this and no one does anything about it

As my family and I are new to the experience of rehabilitation center we were very reluctant in having my father stay away from home. But clover lake assured us all our needs would be met and questions answered. They definitely delivered. The nursing staff were very polite and administration were very patient in handling finances. I would definitely recommend families to consider this facility for their loved one.

This place is COMPLETE GARBAGE . I had a couple of family members in there for long term care. The employees never took care of her. My aunt was malnourished because they were too cheap to give them proper meals. They never cleaned or bathed the patients. It was complete neglect, AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS ITS COMPLETE GARBAGE

Don’t ever take a loved one to this place. My mom was there for short term rehab. The first day there she was full of energy. She was there for four days. After the four days she was so weak. She hadn’t been given food or any IV. There was 5 new hardcore medications prescribed to her at this place which she had never taken before. Never take anyone to this place that needs a lot of care.

Just had to publicly say how much my sister, a resident at Clove Lakes, and I appreciated the pleasant way Carol, Recreation Director, helped make our time a wonderful event! I know a great deal has to be arranged and put in place for these times with family. I just want Carol and her crew to know it does not go unnoticed! Thank you, Carol Krause

My family member just lefted. I noticed that the Lobby is the place they keep for show. Clean, attentive..etc. Because if you move another floor, it's dirty, the food comes cold, takes long to be serviced. The communication between the departments is terrible. The food is horrible, they are still serving the same dishes from 20 yrs ago. The fruit taste like it's out of a can. My family member lost 11 pounds because of the food.

The nurses, aides, physical therapists, and housekeepers are knowledgeable professionals who having been helping our dad recover. Since my dad is a difficult patient, the staff also shows patience with him. I only wish there were more of this staff working at any given time.

My sister is a resident for short term rehab. Though not what any of us wanted, I can’t be more pleased with her care so far. The staff on the floor has been so helpful and accommodating and I have nothing but great things to say about the wound care team, especially Michele and Pat. Knowing that she is in their care brings me peace at this difficult time. Also to Mary and Mike from therapy, you both brought a smile to her face when she needed one.

My uncle was sent here to recover from respiratory distress. When My aunt came to visit him he was covered in food and his own waste. It was so bad they had to cut the sheets off of him, and they wouldn't allow her to call 911 right away. He's now in the hospital DYING because of their negligence. He didn't receive oxygen he needed to recover or any sort of care. This place is disgusting and I hope they get everything coming to them. EDIT: He passed away in the hospital less than 36hrs after leaving this place. Yelp has this place at 2 stars, it's for a reason.

My aunt has been here at Clove Lakes Rehabilitation for a few months now. The environmental service supervisor specifically Anthony Romano is a warm, kind & welcoming person. He makes my aunt feel so comfortable and reassured and he continues to do so. The room is always checked, consistently making sure it is at its best. Mr Romano comes in on a daily basis and checks her room and I'm sure others, that they are for sure kept up to par. He regularly asks my aunt how she is doing and if she is in need of anything. My 5 stars for this facility is mostly based upon my encounters with Mr Romano. As I see his abilities, caring, nurturing and outstanding work performance as such an asset to this facility.
