Very compassionate and professional service. Staff is informative, communicative and accommodates requests. I received text updates and blueprints before the head stone was completed and was able to approve either by person or via email. Nice to do business with regarding a difficult loss of a loved one.

I am writing this review as a follow up to the service received from Marcus, Karen, and everyone at St. Charles Monuments. I simply cannot say enough good things about how perfectly they respected, understood, and cared about, my Mom, myself, our family, and completing my Dad's memorial. I recommend St. Charles Memorials as strongly as I can, with absolutely no reservations. Without going into personal specifics, let me state that I have reasons and proof that St. Charles Monuments truly cares, and will do the right thing without hesitation. Let's face it, needing the services of a memorial maker means you have suffered a loss. Taking care of business like this is necessary of course, but not something anyone looks forward to. In fact, it can be one of many stressful tasks that must be handled upon the passing of a loved one. After waiting almost 2 years to have my mom's headstone engraved, I went to St. Charles Monument to begin the process. I was told it could possibly take up to 16 weeks to get approval from cemetery and then for them to do the actual engraving. The process moved much quicker. Once the monument company received approval from cemetery, I was told it would take 3-6 weeks. I mentioned that my 5 siblings and 5 grandchildren were planning on going to cemetery on my mom's 2nd anniversary and would love it if the engraving would be done when we all got there. The monument company told me they would mention this to the engraver. 1 week later, I received notice that the engraving has been completed! I'm beyond grateful and can't wait for my family's reaction when we all go in a few weeks to honor our mom/ grandmother. St. Charles Monument company is simply the best!

St. Charles was very helpful from beginning to end. They were detailed with explaining the steps from start to finish and gave us a couple of options as well in how to go about what we were looking for. Really satisfied with how our monument turned out in the end. Thanks guys again and would recommend for sure.

The person who helped me was very kind and compassionate. She was also very knowledgeable. I had questions which she answered very patiently. It was difficult for me, but she made it easier. We share a love of dogs and we talked about our dogs. She did not rush me along. I left with a folder containing the copies I would need. I plan to do back there to purchase a stone for another grave. Also, they kept me advised of how the process was proceeding with text messages. They made a difficult process less painful.

I had St. Charles Monuments preform an inscription and a tombstone cleaning and was more than happy with the work performed. They kept me informed throughout the process with pictures and updates. The professionalism from the whole company was amazing. There were no hidden costs that surprised me, everything explained upfront. Very friendly staff. Completed the headstone faster than expected. Kept in constant communication to insure everything went smoothly. Prices are also affordable. Finished headstone came out beautiful. Definitely recommend.

Avoid at all costs — like others, I was strung along for months on end with no updates, limited responses and just a general lack of follow up unless I intimated a request for an update. Just a total run around during a stressful time. When I escalated the lack of follow-up and contact with the owner Marcus his response was appalling — he was yelling and screaming that if I didn’t like the communication I was receiving I could go elsewhere, I was shocked to hear a business owner respond with this tone and aggression. He went on to flat out refuse to do the job out of spite and anger, stating since I didn’t like the communication I was receiving I could go ahead and start the whole process over with someone else (which was in violation of the contract we signed since the job had now spanned over 6 months). It then took 3 weeks and another follow up from me with Marcus to get the deposit back and we had to start the process over again while our headstone sat blank for months on end thanks entirely to the incompetency and arrogance of Marcus and St. Charles Monuments. What a nightmare. We ended up utilizing another memorial company and the process could not have been better. When I told them what was going on for the past several months and now changing of a vendor from St Charles both the new memorial company and the cemetery representatives separately nearly finished for me , “let me guess, Marcus bullied you over the phone and lost his temper refusing to do the work”. I couldn’t believe that my experience was common enough for others to fill in the details before I even shared, they were not surprised to learn of the ordeal. Buyer beware, this ordeal dragged out our families grieving period and no one deserves to be treated this way. Marcus and St Charles have a warped sense of business and ethics and I wish I would have done my research before contracting them.

St.Charles Monuments have been a blessing for my family & I during the difficult times. Not only are they professional but also compassionate. My siblings live out of the State & I live upstate - whenever we needed something IE: Headstone cleaning or Floral Arrangements- they dedicated their professionalism & compassion towards our needs & wants. They went out of their way to try to locate a NYPD flag to put down at resting place & continue to search. During their search they did put a Police Thin Blue Line Flag for Us at no cost. They cleaned the headstone, delivered the floral arrangements & provided us with a photo upon cleaning & delivery. This is a business that My family will depend upon for many years to come. Very easy to communicate with & do business with unlike some of the Florist & Monument Dealers that I called in Melville . Affordable , Professional, Compassionate & Pleasant.
