I’m
sad
to
say
my
friend
and
I
didn’t
have
a
good
experience
here.
Both
of
us
wanted
to
learn
how
to
post
and
ride
western
properly
and
were
willing
to
pay
to
do
so.
We
elected
to
do
the
hour
long
lessons
that
were
listed
as
an
option
on
their
website
a
few
months
ago.
I
was
happy
that
they
had
more
availability
than
other
places
so
we
booked
our
first
lesson
which
we
understood
would
be
a
half
hour
long
as
the
first
lesson
is
deemed
and
‘evaluation’.
We
arrived
to
learn
that
our
lesson
would
not
be
together
as
we
had
booked
because
one
of
the
trainers
had
called
in
sick.
Disappointed,
we
understood
and
continued
with
our
lessons
separately.
Once
evaluated
we
were
told
we
needed
to
work
on
the
basics,
ie.
posting
properly
during
a
trot.
Before
booking
another
lesson,
I
asked
to
make
sure
that
the
subsequent
lessons
would
always
be
1
hour
long
and
we
were
assured
they
would
be,
noting
we
would
need
to
arrive
half
an
hour
early
to
groom
and
tack
before
the
1
hour
would
begin.
For
our
second
lesson
we
arrived
early
as
instructed
but
were
left
waiting
for
15
mins
before
we
began
the
grooming
process
which
ate
into
our
lesson
time.
I
had
been
working
at
home
to
strengthen
my
core
and
was
excited
to
spend
a
longer
period
of
time
posting.
However,
the
horse
I
was
put
on
seemed
to
not
want
to
follow
the
path
or
my
instruction
and
had
to
be
led
by
the
mouth
with
the
instructor
leading
us
around
the
entire
time
which
made
it
difficult
to
have
the
horse
trot.
She
blamed
the
horse
for
being
lazy
which
was
disappointing
but
I
was
assured
would
not
happen
again.
More
disappointing
was
that
there
were
two
others
riding
around
the
arena
at
a
faster
pace
which
left
me
and
my
friend
having
to
stop
and
wait
several
times
for
them
to
clear
the
way.
In
total,
I
maybe
had
4-5
very
short
(seconds-long)
opportunities
to
trot
(given
the
smaller
size
of
the
arena
and
traffic
with
other
horses).
We
left
hoping
the
next
time
would
be
better.
We
booked
another
lesson
a
few
weeks
in
advance
but
then
got
a
text
that
we
would
need
to
change
it
due
to
a
booking
oversight.
Sadly
that
was
the
only
time
we
could
go
until
today
when
we
were
supposed
to
have
our
next
lesson.
I
called
in
advance
to
maintain
our
lessons
were
still
booked
together
but
when
I
mentioned
we
would
be
there
a
half
hour
early
as
previously
instructed,
I
was
told
that
our
lessons
were
now
only
a
half
an
hour
long
with
the
other
half
hour
spent
grooming
and
tacking.
It
was
presented
in
a
way
that
apparently
we
were
never
candidates
for
hour
long
lessons
and
that
the
only
candidates
for
the
longer
riding
sessions
were
riders
who
could
do
jumps?
How
is
one
supposed
to
learn
with
such
incredibly
short
intervals
of
riding
time
and
in
a
crowded
arena
with
horses
that
can’t
be
trusted
to
go
in
circles
and
without
being
hand
led?
We
had
paid
for
1
hour
long
sessons
and
the
total
number
of
minutes
we
spent
with
the
horse
in
a
trot
over
the
course
of
our
time
there
was
(at
best)
6
minutes.
I
have
have
spent
a
lot
of
time
on
horses
in
the
past
and
this
was
the
most
disappointing
and
expensive
experience.
Again…we
were
willing
to
pay
for
more
time.
But
it
seems
that
even
their
advertised
maximum
hour
long
lessons
weren’t
available
to
us
even
after
having
invested
in
several
lessons.
It
saddens
me
we
were
treated
as
though
we
had
done
something
wrong
or
had
misunderstood
their
policies
when
I
know
that
is
not
the
case.
This
may
work
for
parents
and
children,
but
for
adults
who
are
willing
to
pay
to
learn,
I
think
it
would
be
better
to
invest
a
little
more
money.
It
seems
unfair
to
charge
people
for
an
hour
when
more
than
half
of
that
is
spent
doing
them
the
service
of
grooming
their
horses
or
in
waiting
around
in
an
overcrowded
arena
for
better
riders
to
make
room
for
us
lowly
beginners.
