Loved this theater! Amazing production of Disney’s Beauty & the Beast. And all the actors voices were on point & from Broadway. Was such an entertaining, fun show. As well as very comfortable seats too, not cramped like Manhattan theaters & all seats have a great view. Theater is wheelchair accessible, bathrooms on main floor & more bathrooms upstairs. Bar & snacks concession workers are very quick to serve you. The owners are kind & came out to say hello after the show which was so nice. We will def be back for a 2nd round of Beauty cuz was that good as well as their upcoming shows even though we live in the city! Also, the Main St. of Babylon where the Argyle is on is so quaint with beautiful shops & restaurants so we made a day of it with lunch and shopping before the show. They have a small parking lot beside theater but a big municipal parking lot behind the theater but across to the left is another area to park. A Must go!

First time at this theater and we will definitely return. We went to see The Wizard of Oz yesterday and it was absolutely fantastic. Close to home, more affordable than NYC prices, not overly crowded and clean. The employees are very nice and accommodating. When booking tickets, I would avoid the aisle seats because it’s tough to see the stage if you are sitting on an aisle seat. We had aisle seats and I asked if we could move and they said yes, and then I noticed other people who had aisle seats change their seats so it wasn’t just us. Also, skip the first row, you’ll wake up with a stiff neck the next day. Overall, definitely recommend this theater. It’s awesome!

Comfortable seats with a great view from any location. Came for a family event with girl scouts for my daughter. Would come back again for the right play.

Great stop for a pint and bite to eat. Nachos were amazing and the portion was massive. Ambiance is nice and decor is elevate. Staff is excellent. Brunch spot for sure during the day and perfect stop for a late night drink.

Broadway has arrived in Babylon at the Argyle Theater! It is a wonderful experience right here on Long Island. The theater is newly renovated with very comfortable high-backed cushioned seats with PLENTY of leg room. Cup holders in the armrests, as the reasonably priced cocktails, beer and beverages ARE allowed in the theater! The performances are terrific with fabulous acting. The live orchestra rounds out the experience! 5th row E is just right for up close. And, the children's programs are spellbinding for the young ones to see live acting on stage!! Dine in the Village and walk to the show!

I just went there for the first time to see "Grease". I was impressed with the venue and the amount of help. They were cordial and attentive. There was plenty of room to walk around and you're not sitting on top of the person next to you. The seats were well padded and the whole theater was very clean. We plan on going back soon. It's a valuable attraction for the town.

Saw Beauty and the Beast, it was an amazing performance, actors and sets were terrific. It was a full length play and was so so much better than what I anticipated! Seats are pretty roomy in this theater, so if you have a little junk in the trunk it's not like your usual very tiny and narrow auditorium seats. Seat backs are also high, so you can lean back and get comfy as they are fully cushioned. I did not visit the concessions.

A nice smaller venue to see quality plays and you don't have to go to Manhattan!

Always delightful. Staff is top notch ,sets while small are Broadway quality. The owners both Dad and Son greet you on stage at beginning of performance and in person at exit. 1st yr Season ticket holders are we. We plan on many more😁

My wife and I saw Mama Mia last night and had a fantastic time! We had never been to the Argyle theater and quite honestly were not expect anything more than a high school product but boy were we wrong! That couldn't be further from the truth. As professional as any Broadway production and we have seen our share. What a pleasure! From the fantastic actors, their singing and choreography, the orchestra itself and fun staging-cannot "sing" their praises any higher! This is the last week for this production and I strongly suggest you go and you will have a great time! BTW....I put my money where my mouth is so we booked the show again for next Saturday! Mama Mia....here we go again!

They need to print enough Playbills for each ticket sold. You can't expect me to download a digital copy then shame me for looking at my phone during a performance! I deducted a star for this.

Always a great experience whether it be a Broadway show or great musical talents like David Clark's It's All About Joel, Fleetwood Macked, Refugee

The show was good, some excellent acting/singing/dancing from some of the more professional actors, and there really isn't a bad seat in the theater. But the house and staff are not what we were expecting so close to NYC. It's like the actors are only a little off Broadway - some real pros among them- but the house consists of the moms with their new holiday sweaters from Kohl's volunteering to staff the various tables at a high school musical. The all gender /family restroom apparently was closer than the ladies room to many patrons before the show and at intermission, so I had to wait in a long line of not-handicapped women who did not appear to need a nonbinary toilet to take my opposite-gender disabled companion to the bathroom. I asked several ushers if it was possible for the handicapped patron to have any sort of priority because we were about to miss our chance to use the bathroom and she said, "no, we really don't enforce that because we just let people go where they feel it's most convenient." That about sums up the weirdly unaware vibe.

Yesterday I saw Mary Poppins at the Argyle Theater in Babylon. LOVED IT!! The singing, dancing and comedy was amazing...but what really got me was the way the lyrics were written. Kudos to the writers...OMG, they are geniuses!! Will definitely return to see other productions.

My wife and I went to see Amber Ferrari, the theater was very nice and the employees couldn't have been any nicer. We sat up in the balcony and they were great seats to see the stage. The acoustics in the theater also was perfect.

Went to see rock of ages and while the show itself was great and the performance by the actors was amazing the audience ruined it. Security needs to step up. People dancing in front of their seats blocking the view. Others singing so loudly it drowned out the vocals of the performers. Drunken adults jumping on stage. What a waste of money - if you cannot enjoy the show. To the argyle facility. You need to control your crowd better.

Came back to Long Island just to see Grease. The actors were phenomenal. Beautiful voices and great choreography. The only downside was the set. I have no idea what the set director was thinking. And the car “grease lightning”, what was he thinking.

Beautiful theater, well-appointed, great sound and lighting, not a bad seat in the house...and those seats are roomier and more comfortable than any you'll find in a city theater. Concession AND bar service. Clean washrooms. Really friendly staff. Broadway-grade performances. I managed to fall up the stairs in the dark while returning to my seat, and while I was not hurt and made it back to my seat without an issue, two different staffers checked in on me at intermission. Very impressive. We will definitely attend more shows here. All the good dining options close by also help make it a terrific venue.

I saw Rock of Ages here. Amazing performance! The vocals and acting were stunning! The actors were also hilarious with the comedy aspect of the show as well. I will definitely be attending the next show.

The atmosphere is good and the theater offers both soft and alcoholic drink options. There reason I knocked off a star is because of the way the front row is situated RIGHT UP to the stage edge. It's literally a foot away in front of your face requiring you to constantly angle your neck upward to view the performance. Kindly enough when the usher scanned our tickets in the lobby she advised it wasn't a full house and we are welcome to move our seats. We wondered why she would recommend when we had front row seats. Now I know why. We attended Rock Of Ages which was a great performance all around. We ended up relocating one row back during intermission which was much much better. Go for row B if you're looking for up close.

This was a small, local Long Island theater. My friends and I went to watch the Beauty and the Beast production. It was pretty awesome. Hana Culbreath was a breath of fresh air and really did justice to Belle's character. But my favorite of the bunch would have to be Elliott Litherland as Gaston. He was the unanimous favorite. The smaller theater made for a more intimate setting which was great. Although there were a lot of positives that came from the performance, I would say that was dampened and truly overshadowed by the rude and unprofessional ushers that were situated by me. We were seated in the orchestra, section K seats 14-18. I get it, the ushers do have a job to perform. But the ushers today (11/27/2022 for the 2PM show) were downright disrespectful. Several people were asked to turn their phones off though ours were already on silent. The three ushers (a young man and 2 old women) circled that one side of the theater in the last 2 sections and POLICED the few that they saw on their celphones. Now there is absolutely nothing wrong with policing and enforcing celphone usage during a show however my issue with them is that their conversations were so loud and right over me that they basically drowned the music that was playing. One woman with the bob clapped obnoxiously loud as though to stimulate a much louder applaud for the cast. She did this multiple times. We, as patrons, came to watch the performance and not to be hovered over by ushers who acted no less than vultures. And if you were going to be fair to everyone, they should have checked a little better because the people in the middle of the aisle took videos of the performance. Argyle Theater, you guys have to do a little better when it comes to your staff. Our experience at this particular show was marred by the constant interruption of your unprofessional ushers. As much as we would like to see other productions, this may very well be one of the last we see at this theater.

Every show we've seen has beautiful tight choreography and is super enjoyable. We love The Argyle Theater and are so happy to have these awesome shows here on LI. You can see that everyone puts their all into every production. So fun! So joyful! Great experiences. Love.

My First time here since it converted from a Movie theatre. It still has that old 70's 80's feeling when walking in, but for a theater that's not a bad thing. Prices for concessions / drinks were in line with other community theaters. Seating is great, it's a small theater so even when you are up in the balcony you feel like you have a good view of the show. Only giving 4 instead of 5 because there must be something up with the heat.. we went on a chilly day.. but it was like 85 degrees in the balcony which made that part of the stay slightly uncomfortable. They have a good selection of show coming up so definitely worth the trip.

I saw Beauty and the Beast and enjoyed that every seat in the theater has a good view of the show. There are limited free parking at the theater, but free municipal parking can be found 1 block away off Fire Island Ave behind the carriage house. The prices are fair with Broadway-quality singing. Great for the little ones and dates nights.

So far the plays I have seen here have been great. The performers are great!! It's a nice size theater with comfortable seats. I do think they need to add better lights on the stairs in the balcony area, it was very hard to see them once the lights were out. The lights they currently have on the stairs are very dim, making it hard to make out each step. It was also pretty hot. The temperature needs to be regulated up there. I also feel that they need to increase the variety of snacks at the concession stands. For the most part it's a great theater with Broadway quality plays.

Attended BEAUTY AND THE BEAST last evening. The theater is lovely and comfortable. The production was not at all what I expected. I loved it. The talent was unbelievable! Will definitely attend other shows here.

Beautifully renovated, from a movie theater to a "Broadway" like theater with comfortable seating and with a world class sound system. Located in Babylon Village where you will find ample parking and a multitude of restaurants to dine in either before or after the show.

They are still doing mask mandates and checking vaccine cards. It's not my favorite practice. The show was ok, but concessions were pricey.

First time ever at this beautiful theater. Very entertaining show. Fabulous performances by all!! However, getting information over the phone regarding the new "rules" resulted in anticipated needless stress causing situation at the door. We will stay home until "that thing" is understood by all. Thanking God everyday for our wonderful bodies and their immune systems' abilities! Bolster yours anyway you like ... naturally or otherwise, with respect for each choice.

I hadn't been to Agryle since it was a movie theater, but I recently attended a viewing of Elf The Musical. The theater is beautiful, the show was wonderful, and the theater staff were all very kind and helpful.

ridiculous. they tell you not to be distracting during the show with cell phones and flash, yet throughout the entire show a lady employee was patrolling the aisles like a policeman and if someone didn’t have their mask on all the way she would shine a light in their face, pestering them to put their mask up, distracting the entire audience. very annoying. the show itself was stupendous which is why i didn’t give one star. but really??? that lady ruined the entire experience for a lot of people. the actors aren’t wearing masks, so why should we be forced to such an extent? won’t be giving my business again, which really is a shame because i would love to support these talented actors.

I am usually coaxed into going to these types of things by my wife. As usual, she is right. We have been to other musicals here and they were all great. However, Grease is power packed, and the music and dancing just keep coming. It makes you want to get up and dance with the performers. For me that says a lot. If you want a good relaxed time, it's playing through August. Plus, it is located in beautiful Babylon Village where strolling about is an extra and eateries abound. Plenty of local parking. A great, no stress, night out.
