Kind of a bummer and I'm sad to write potentially their first negative review. The good: The beers. We had the stout and the hefeweizen. Sustainability. They use compostable plates, cups, utensils. Their veggies are organic. The bad: Visually, it struggles with an identity. Bright blue floors and tiles clash with plastic bats stuck to the ceiling. No other bats in sight! I ordered some guacamole and was told they were making 'a fresh batch just for me.' I was happy to know it would be extra fresh. Unfortunately, I got chopped avocado mixed with garlic and onions but missing the tomatoes described on the menu. He then took a precooked and pre-portioned mac and cheese from the window to heat up for my entree. My husband ordered a smash burger with cheese and some oven fried potatoes. My mac was very small for $9.50. My husband's burger patty was small enough to be served on an English muffin and the side of macaroni salad was exactly 1 forkful. They forgot to add cheese. They forgot about our potatoes. The server informed us "there was a communication issue." I really want to like this place but there's a lot that needs improvement.

If you haven’t been to the Blind Bat what are you waiting for? It’s in a beautiful part of the island and the tasting room it self is beautiful. Not only do they serve the beers that you know and love but also a small but great menu of locally sourced items. Growlers and bottles to go along with local cheese and other farm items.

Nice place. Been hearing about their brews for years but never got a chance to try any of their stuff. Tried the Potato Stout and grabbed some others to go. Met the owner, very pleasant. Will have to visit again soon to try some more of the food.

On our first vacation after COVID-19 we wanted to try something new. We landed upon the Blind Bat Bistro and Brewery in Centerport LI. The beers (from porter to IPL) are good, but the food is amazing! If you don't try the Pickle-Brined Beer-Battered Duck-Fat Fried Chicken Sandwich, you are denying yourself an exquisite delight! Beer-Braised Curly Hot Dog was a also winning choice. The dining area is small with a few tables outside as well. Service from Paul (the brewer, if I am not mistaken) was excellent. We really look forward to our next visit 👍👍

Stellar food, drink, and service! A true local gem. The food is organic, always fresh, and locally sourced. (The burger is particularly excellent). Great experience every time. You can tell by the product the care they put into crafting it.

Paul is so friendly and kind and talkative and the beers are AMAZING. He insisted I try each one before buying, even though I planned on purchasing anyways (and they're cheaper than most beers) and I was impressed each time that I decided to buy three extra cans and a crowler. Visiting from out of town, drove out of the way to go here, and will ABSOLUTELY be back.

Delicious food!! I had the vegan artichoke dip and a potato knish. So good. Also great selection of drinks and the owners are lovely. Informative and kind. Highly recommend checking out this cute little spot 👌

YUM! Definitely a great place to get a yummy meal. We sampled beers while waiting for our take-out meal. Beers were unique and tasty. Our to-go order was fantastic: lamb burger and Pickle-brined Beer-battered Duck fat fried Chicken Sandwich. Both were quite delicious! Can’t wait to return to try soup, burgers and crab cake… and the Hong Kong pretzel dog💕

I give Blind Bat 5 stars for incredibly tasty and high quality food and for working so hard to take care of their customers! While portions are on the small side, the food quality and freshness is clearly several notches above most restaurant food and I find it to be quite satisfying. I actually really prefer to let them know I love their coleslaw or macaroni salad and ask for a larger portion than to have them give out large portions and see most of it go uneaten and straight into the trash. I can't stand to see food waste so at most delis, I tell them to skip the macaroni or coleslaw, because I know I won't eat it. I've tried most of the menu items by now and all have been stellar! My faves are the knishes, the smash burger, the spaetzle (when they have it). The beers are great too, but it's the food that really keeps me going back!

Good locally brewed beer, as well as some of the best pub food i've ever eaten. A hidden local gem that everyone should go support.

The best of both worlds! It's a small relaxed bistro with amazing food (fried chicken sandwich omg) but also delicious beer! The man who makes the beer is also the same person serving the food. He really loves what he does and it shows.

Had some great beer and food here. My friends and I have always wanted to try blind bat and we were not disappointed. We each did tastings of all brews on tap and each beer was excellent. The food was delicious, cooked perfectly and just the right portion size. We shared a pretzel and onion things which were both really good. The chicken sandwich was definitely one of the best I've ever enjoyed. Can't believe we've waited this long to try Blind Bat! We'll definitely be back again.

👍👍 For the first timer experience I would have to say hands down the best spot for service, hospitality, ambiance, and sporty events. I saw the hole team being very diligent on cleaning and serving the patrons with efficiency. I will most definitely be returning. Took the wife here to curb her craving...

👍👍 Hidden gem probably the best pizza on the north shore. I only wound up here because one of my riders had a drop off nearby (uber driver here). The slice I had was so good basil and mozzarella it was delicious. Will have to come back next time I'm in town.
