I am so glad I live far away from that place. Because if I was leaving anywhere less than 200 miles away, I’d eat there 3 times a week at minimum. The chef takes the Israeli food staples to a whole new level, adding delicate nudges that make the classics even more irresistible. And one more thing: it’s priced very raisonably, which means you’ll leave the place feeling like you’re ate the best good of your entire journey at the most affordable price. Nice isn’t it?

This place was recommended to me by the breakfast shirts community. I went for breakfast and a coffee. Really good coffee and a great menu, I had the hummus with slow cooked lamb. I’ll be coming back.

We had brunch with the kids and enjoyed each and every dish. Kids enjoyed the Humus & pita as well as the butterfly tea 🦋. We are Middle Eastern and the falafel was the best we had in Australia which was just down and served right. We will come back every time we will be in the area😋

Exceptional! These are the kind of falafel I dream about. The sauces were to die for… And old quarter coffee was the icing on the cake. Can’t wait to try more of the menu!

Amazing food! Authentic middle eastern. Shakshuka was outstanding. Avo on toast was given a lift with crispy kale. Turkish coffee is served in an authentic pot. Moroccan mint tea served in a glass. Takeaway humus and pita bread was delicious too. Roy and his staff along with middle eastern music gives the cafe a warm and friendly relaxing atmosphere. Very reasonable prices. Can’t wait to try it again Roy.

Came in for a light lunch and had the stuffed pita bread. It wasn't the only thing stuffed by the end. Yummy! Refreshing salad with the mince that was fried inside the pita. Coffee good too. Staff very welcoming and happy to add some ice to the table water (which could have been chilled before serving).

Exquisite! Beautifully kind and knowledgeable staff, loved the interior, very comfortable, so much so we stayed all afternoon post lunch drinking tea. The food! Delectable, the only place I want to eat. Thank you for such a lovely experience.

Fantastic Middle Easrern cuisine! The interior is spacious and decorated to provide an authentic and cozy atmosphere. The menu is limited but very well done! I loved the Araies; gorgeous presentation, with flavoursome meat and a crispy wam pita “pastry”. Thumbs up to the shakshuka too!

Both times I’ve eaten, it has been one of my top experiences at a café or restaurant. The quality and presentation of food shows care as well as passion, and the service was the best I have experienced. The first dish I had was the sinaia, and recently, the hummus and lamb. Both were the type of dishes that felt nostalgic of home cooking, but were completely new to me. Anytime a dish leaves you smiling goes to show the level of comfort food can provide. Served alongside was the turkish coffee, which was a fantastic experience in itself, not to mention the flavour. Thank you for your hospitality and care. It’s reassuring to find somewhere this welcoming, calming, and allowing me to enjoy “dolce far niente” in a fast-paced world.

If you are looking for a good restaurant in Ballina, it’s definitively the best for me. I tried different meals and i was always surprise by the flavors and the good taste ! You’ll be not disappointed! Very good coffee too !!

loved every sip, every bite, ever moment. welcoming staff, great tunes, excellent(!) coffee, and the foood...ahh! we ate the lamb and hummus, and the tahini hollandaise eggs benny, and the flavours were exceptional. explosions of yum and diversity in every bite. highly recommend!

Love the Scrambled Eggs or a really crusty slice of bread. I was looking for the salt and pepper shaker but then tasted the eggs. No salt or pepper required. Seasoning was great straight from the kitchen.

10 out of 10. I had the lamb and hummus and already can’t wait to go back and try other dishes. The lamb was extremely tender. The staff was very nice and recommended this dish. Go check them out if you’re in the area.

I ordered fruit and nibble platters as well as some dishes for a recent event. The food was delicious and high quality, and the price was very reasonable. I also found the service excellent. I will be ordering again!

Amazing place! I had the lamb with humus and some pita bread. It was delicious. Although when I saw the dish I thought it was not too much, after eating, I was completely satisfied. I also tried some falafels with different sauces and they were perfect. Just the right humidity point! For dessert, I had an Iced latte that it was good and some cheese cake that was also super nice. A strong recommendation: It is always packed, in particular on weekends! However the service is kind and fast. Prices suits perfect food quality and service. Special mention to the humus. It is one of the best I ever tríes. Thank you! Definitely a place to be back!

What a great little cafe experience! First thing you notice is the spacious dining area . They sell Old Quarter coffee which is such an awesome brand & the menu is unique to the area serving a great mix of middle eastern & ! retaining the traditional fare of an Aussie cafe for the less adventurous! I just really enjoyed the whole experience

Beautiful aesthetic, food, staff. Eggplant smokey as your eyes on the way home. Lamb that melts in your mouth even on a winter day, and falafel we all know and love from Chef Shukka. Great addition to Ballina. Delicious. Also made our dog very welcome outside.
