👍👍 If you are a diver or wish to snorkel this is the place. Very easy access to the water with excellent visibility and lots to see. The water depth drops quickly and allows snorkelers to see down 50 feet or so. Divers can access deep water also from shore. People often mention water, dive,

One of my favorite dive sites on the island. Incredibly beautiful during the day and an absolute treasure at night. Saw my first octopus here several years ago. On-site dive shop (Sun Divers) has air, weights, water, guides, shower, dunk tanks, etc. Convenient stairs lead down to the water behind the Macabuca bar. Ignore the negative review(s) that reference captive turtles as they’re discussing the Turtle farm place down the road and not this wonderful dive site hidden behind the Cracked Conch. Don’t miss this gem.

Great inlet for snorkeling and diving. We went on a day when the water was a little choppy so you could see some things but it wasn’t super clear and couldn’t see too far down for snorkeling, but still very beautiful area and access point.

One of the best shore Diving point on Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands. Located on North western part of Cayman's biggest island. Don't mix it with Turtle Farm or Turtle center! Turtle reef is an open water attraction 100m distance from the shore. (As locals call: Ironshore) Divers swimming out for night diving daily. When the wind direction is Northern or Northwestern and the speed of that is over 20 knots, it's not suggested to go out because of the big waves. Parking lots, scuba diver store and two restaurants is in front of it. Walking distance (100m) from Turtle Center and from Dolphin Discovery. 50m far from Cayman Auto Museum.

Little unclear how to find this place…you basically park at, and go through, the outdoor restaurant (Macabuca’s) and they have a little staircase to get into the water. Very nice snorkel spot (and good food too). Parking is a little tough is all (limited spots). The hours listed on Google here don’t seem to be correct either…I’d go by Macabuca’s hours (although I didn’t confirm with them if they restrict access at any times but it was “open” when Google said it was closed).

This is approximately where I did my first dive. Perfect location for it. Lots of life under the ocean including massive sea turtles.

Easy access through Sun Divers if you're renting tanks. It's a great setup with Macabuca's right there. Good night dive spot as well.

Completed our open water PADI with Dani this week. Can't recommend this place or the instruction from Dani highly enough. Also a good place to snorkel and have a bite afterwards in Macabuca.

Great shore dive location. Saw lots of sting rays, barracuda, and grouper. Then when you're done, Macabuca is a great place to grab lunch.

A must stop for any diver. Air available on site and enough to see for 2 dives right of shore. Exceptionally great spot for night dives!

Very sad to see so many turtles in such a small pond all swimming and colliding with each other. Also sad to see the other turtles in such small concrete enclosures. You could see the baby were stressed when picked up.
