I’ve been staying here since the 1990s. Private beachfront just outside your back door with good shallow snorkeling just a few meters away. I’ve always stayed in the same downstairs unit in the NW corner. Just a wondering little condo on the north end of 7 mile beach. It has, like all things, become quite expensive to stay here; but the off-season and direct booking yields a slight discount and ‘free’ night with a week’s stay. I had considered even buying a unit back when I had money in the early aughts, but the rental pool and other factors made the decision impractical for how rarely I was able to actually come down. This is my favourite vacation spot- at least for this ‘genre’ or type of a pure relaxation destination vacation. If you want to stay busy, there are a few things to do: charter a fishing vessel, so the local attractions & sites; but I come because I can buy a week’s worth of groceries, grab a Stingray beer and lie on a chaise lounge on the sand while reading a book, then when I get too hot, I just walk into the bay/ ocean until I’m cooled off. Rinse and repeat. Pro tip- bury the Stingray beer 3/4 of the way in the sand as a makeshift bottle holder; it keeps the beer cold longer. Apologies, the photo is old and time has discolored it and the scan isn’t perfect, but the unit layout is basically the same.

This is the place to stay either as a couple or a family. Price and beauty can’t be beat. Managed well and everything is well maintained. Beautiful beach, great pool and hot tub with sunsets every night and no crowds! You can snorkel and see fish right off the beach or walk just a bit north and snorkel at Cemetery Reef. It’s fun to walk south on the beach and take some money to drop in to some places and order a drink or food. We rent a car to visit a variety of our favorite restaurants and then come home to a beautiful condo. Not a better place in Cayman to stay!

The best staycation spot if you want quiet, clean newly renovated and kitchen facilities while you on vacation on the beach this place is all of that and more. I just loved, loved. It is exactly as you see condos on their website. My condo had everything. I had all Miele appliances "high-end appliances" a cappuccino maker, a wine cooler just a beautiful kitchen. My bedroom was huge, bathroom tun up. This property is to brag about. Thanks to the ladies in the office, both made our stay awesome. Will definitely come again.

Beautiful beach, reasonably priced, away from the tourist scene, patios open onto the sand, great snorkeling right out front, highly recommend as an alternative to the pricey hotels. Just rent a car or be prepared to pay for taxis to get anywhere as nothing is that close by...

Absolute paradise ! We have been traveling to Grand Cayman with our family for many years. Have stayed in several places. Our absolute favorite has been Discovery Point Club. The Condos are beautiful, clean and well maintained. The location is perfect. Close enough to restaurants and stores but yet a quiet and peaceful location . The beach and view are amazing. The staff are excellent, knowledgeable, and welcoming. Ann-Rose in the office is such a lovely and sweet lady. Anything you need or inquire about she offers her help. Jerian keeps the grounds looking beautiful. He too is very helpful and always has a smile. The housekeeping too are very friendly and do a great job. The only negative is when we have to leave . Can’t wait for our next visit !

Sunsets from the balcony were stunning. The condo is beautiful. The beach is amazing. You can take long walks in either direction. It is centrally located on 7 mile beach with great access to restaurants and activities.

I stayed in a garden level unit and it was excellent. No steps. Green grass outside the porch and white sands of 7 Mile Beach. Close to a great grocery store. Great set-up for washing and drying dive gear. Tennis courts in excellent shape & staff was very welcoming. A+++ Andrew N (MN)

If I were going to Grand Cayman, THIS would be the place I would stay. There are so many positives behind why, so I'll break it down for you, starting with location. It is on the north end of Seven Mile Beach, just south of Cemetery Beach, which means it's much quieter, but the beach is every bit as nice. The sand is soft and the water is incredibly clear. There are even some great snorkel spots right in front of the property. It is also close enough to great restaurants in West Bay, but also Camana Bay and on into Georgetown. There's a grocery store not far, and our unit was well-equipped with supplies, so we cooked a few nights! We did rent a car and the parking lot at Discovery Point never posed a problem, with plenty of space and room. The units themselves ALL have ocean views! We stayed on the third floor and the stairs were no problem. Ours (#44) seemed to have been updated recently and they did a great job, but honestly all of them looked very nice! There is a beach-side pool and the grounds crew works tirelessly to make sure the whole area is clean and well-kept. The property is kept up immaculately and you can tell everyone takes great pride in sharing the Cayman Hospitality in everything they do, from the front-office check-in with Ms. Ollie to Theresa our housekeeper. Everyone was fantastic! You will feel relaxed and at home. They will share tips, tricks, and where to get everything you need. They all want you to feel welcome - we experienced that the entire time. We went in the shoulder season, but for the price we paid, what we got in return and the touches all over the place (fruit basket when you arrive, towel exchange, equipment supply, etc.) made it feel like a true bargain. Between watching the turtles and cruise-ships to just soaking in a book on the beach under one of the cabanas, you can't go wrong here. I can't say enough about the people, but even introverts would love the location because it's so quiet. But it's still perfect for families, too. When we get back to Cayman, there will be no debate about where to stay. In doing the research prior to this trip, I checked all sorts of travel blogs and this one and the one next door to it kept coming up. But for us, the screened porches were a big selling point, and boy did it make a difference! And then we got to meet the people.. This was one of the best places we've stayed during any of our family vacations!

Enjoyed our stay at Discovery Point in April. This was our first trip to Grand Cayman and researching all the lodging options was overwhelming to say the least. We stayed in a second story 2 bedroom unit #11. The location is north of the more congested areas of Seven Mile beach so was perfect for going north to West Bay restaurants and sites like cayman turtle center. Discovery Point condos are a little older, but very well maintained. The views from our condo were amazing- the complex is very close to the clear waters of the Caribbean. The pool was nice and the pool deck was great for viewing sun sets. We didn’t use the tennis courts but they were nice. Check in was efficient and the office manager was very nice and helpful.

The apartment we stayed at was incredibly comfortable for our party of four plus a 5 month old baby. Loved being able to walk straight onto the beach from our patio. It was spacious and clean and had all we could have asked for and more! The management was extremely helpful with all of our enquiries, we will definitely be back!

My husband and I stayed in unit #11 which is beautifully decorated with island prints and sea glass collections greeting you throughout the condo with a beautiful view on the second floor overlooking the beach, the kitchen is well stocked for eating in, the bedrooms are very comfortable. The access to the beach is beautifully maintained with palm trees that greet you, a view to dream of. The staff that attends the well managed property have been there for years and welcome everyone as if you are their guests. Great snorkeling right out back, family oriented as well as restful since plenty of beach space.
