Wonderful place for those with a spirit of adventure. I’ve been to Grand Cayman 3 times on cruises and this is the only place that really appeals to me. I don’t like prepackaged tourism like the stingrays or zip lines. I like to see the beauty each place holds. And this beach is the way to go. There’s lots of shade trees and a few picnic tables. It wasn’t crowded when we went (July - 3 ships were in port). Getting a public bus to and from was easy. There are no bathrooms here. No restaurants either. So pack food and relieve yourself before heading out.

I really love this beach. We came here a few times and was really the only beach along the "seven mile" coast we visited. It is indeed next to a cemetery. Parking was not an issue. Across the street was a new lot with a nice bathroom complex and showers. The lot is not vast and maybe has 20 spaces. It does fill up, but we parked in the street side spaces with no issue. Crowd was 60 percent local, 40 percent tourist. I think mainly the tourist that came here were for the snorkeling opportunities while the locals came here with their families. Lots of shade opportunities. Trees in good supply. The beach is fairly wide with fine sand though not sparkling white like further south The water is clear and blue with waves just big enough to entertain the kids and not scare the parents. Wife snorkeled here for hours, I laid back and just floated or swam. There is a reason people come here to snorkle. Great fairly calm water, plenty of underwater rocky grassy areas and lots of wildlife. There is even a shipwreck of shore that you can make it to if you are a seasoned swimmer though I would hesitate because of possible jet skiers. Don't let me saying rocky grassy area throw you. That is farther out and there is plenty of sand to walk on in the water. Speaking of walking. You can start here and walk so far south on the beach that you will need to take a taxi to get back before pumpkin time. Love this beach.

I read online that Cemetery Beach was a great place to hunt for beach glass and snorkel. WOW! This beach is beyond expectations! The sand is soft, the water aqua blue. You do walk along side the cemetery to get to the beach. We went via Public bus and the driver was helpful in dropping us off. Snorkeling above the small reefs you will find lots of beautiful fish! I also found some green and brown beach glass (very tiny pieces where the ocean meets the sand! You have to visit this beach! If you love to snorkel you won't be disappointed.

A lot of shade available and water is crystal clear. Beautiful beach to enjoy in Grand Cayman. There is a parking lot on the opposite side of the road. Snorkel to spot fishes away from the shore. Definitely visit here for some great family beach time!!

This was our favorite beach in Grand Cayman! The water is beautiful and there’s good snorkeling. I saw a few sea turtles out there. The beach is nice and has some trees for shade and a few picnic tables. Beach has a less resorty feel than the other 7 mike beaches. Only downside of this beach is it’s not the best for the sunset as the sun does not set out in front of you in the ocean but rather towards the right over the land

Cemetery beach is really nice. There are plenty of trees creating natural shade. Great place for kids. Nice calm and shallow. Snorkeling can be done only a couple hundred of feet out.

Absolutely perfect place to spend a few hours! Snorkeling is wonderful (easy calm waters to swim in) and beach not crowded. The north and east sides of the island were having a huge seaweed problem, so we drove an hour to get here - well worth it! There are no public restrooms or shower facilities here like on some of the other public beaches.

Decided to visit this beach while vacationing on Grand Cayman. The beach is literally behind a cemetery. You have to park in front of the cemetery along the road on west bay. It has trees for shade and the water is calm. There were only about a dozen people there and they do not have any food stands, chair, umbrella or jet ski rentals, which is good, if you are looking to just relax. There is a reef a little way out, but not very much to see. We spent our time looking for shells, but came up short.

Compared to other areas of SMB, this beach is very quiet. The snorkeling is very good if you swim 100 yards.

One of my favorite beaches to spend a lazy day and go snorkeling. There are no restaurants or places to shower after swimming. You have to bring your own chair to sit down or just use a beach towel to sit. There was plenty spaces to park car on both side of the streets. I saw people mostly parking right in front of the cemitery. By the way, there are always workers cleaning the cemitery so it can be a little noisy at times.

Cemetery beach is one of our favorites! There is parking across the street from the cemetery, and a short walk beside the cemetery (just parallel to Swift Lane) brings you right to the beach. It is very clean, nice snorkeling with lots of beautiful fish seen (even a stingray!), and very small waves. It is perfect for kids, too. To top it all off, there is a shower right beside the car lot!!

Great parking and public restrooms across the street from the cemetery. Local person was renting chairs, bring your own or towel if fine. Reefs a bit off shore but have lots of fish. Great place to stop.

It's a pleasant spot but unfortunately not that many fish anymore if you're snorkeling. Especially near the shore; but also out by the reef. Too bad as I loved it here 15 years ago.

Nice beach with good snorkeling. Good shady spots. No facilities but plenty of parking and a few picnic tables. The IGA is right down the road if you run out of anything.

Nice quiet beach as many here have said. Snorkeling? If you are a good swimmer yes. If not, be careful swimming out to where the good snorkeling is located. If the wind/tide is strong, may not be for those, like me, who are not great swimmers. I wear a vest in such waters and it was hard to swim back to shore. Just know your limitations and dont think its an easy swim for all.

Lots of shade, very calm. The day we were there, there were no crowds. It was just us❤️ Beautiful beach, I think by far one of my favorites so far. I really liked how private it was. Wish we would've brought our snorkeling gear.

Very beautiful beach with super clear water. Clean and a lot of shade from the trees. The reef is within snorkeling distance and beautiful. In the depth of 2-6m you can see lots of marine life. Surgeon fish, soldier fish, emperor fish, parrot fish and sea turtles. To name just a few.

I enjoyed a quick two hours of power out here snorkeling. Beautiful water, good crowd and some really decent snorkeling about 150 ft out. I think it's a great spot if you want beautiful water and a little less busy atmosphere than 7 mile Beach with a good little reef to hang out at.

My favorite beach on Grand Cayman. Lots of shade close to the water, calm waves, a bit of snorkeling if you swim out, clear water, away from the crowds. You could easily spend all day here. Stay for the sunsets!

Nice public beach at the West End with easy access and even some shade. Easy water access, no water shoes needed. Even some opportunities for snorkeling. Reducing to 4 stars due to some garbage on the beach. Apparently, some residents or visitors have a hard time walking 5 meters to the garbage bin and just throw things in the sand.

Fantastic snorkeling, though you really need to go out a little to get into the clearer waters. Keep an eye out for jellyfish. Saw several small ones (palm sized) further from the shore.

This was my first time snorkeling. I was very happy with my experience here, just be careful as before you know it you can have a pretty decent swim back to the shore.

Both spiritual and chill place. Clean water and soft sand. I suggest it to anyone looking for an atypical kind of beach

One of my favorite beaches in Grand Cayman, crystal clear turquoise waters, there are some trees that provide shade from the sun, I recommend this beach for snorkeling, I spotted a sea turtle once and the corals are stunning

Our favorite beach – and we visited four that week across the island. Has the hallmark of some shade trees, which made the July heat bearable (or at least escapable).

Knock off a star just because they're lots of rocks as soon as you enter the water. Other than that this is another section of a perfect beach. Clean bathroom & showers across the street from the cemetery & entrance.

Great uncrowded beach with easy beach access and shady trees. Snorkeled here in June. The best place to see variety of fish was the reef 100 yards out, just left of the tall thin buoy. Very peaceful water with no problem with current or tide.

Best beach on Grand Cayman! Beautiful water, snorkeling, shade trees to get out of the hot sun. Went there 2 days in a row because we liked it so much!

Quiet and uncrowded most of the time. Good area for snorkeling. If your looking for jet ski or other active activity options, I would recommend a different beach. I would prefer this to seven miles public beach any day of the week.

Beautiful, quiet beach with some roaming beach chickens. About a 10 minute taxi ride from the cruise water shuttle port. Came here for snorkeling and to get away from busier areas of Seven Mile Beach. Water was crystal clear and calm and there were some nice reefs an easy swim out for snorkeling!

We found this after searching online for cool places to snorkel. And we are so happy we did. This beach was beautiful and calm. And turned out to be a great spot to take our gear and check out. The water was perfect and clear and we were able to float out some and see a bit. Some coral and fish and it was just nice to hang out and see what we could. Bonus the water was nice and calm which made it easier for us to snorkel and just float. Beautiful water. And the beach was equally as beautiful. Right behind one of the local cemetarys. A must stop if you are looking for a place to snorkel on your own.
