Should’ve listened to the 1-star reviews. Didn’t start our pickup order until we got there for pickup. They gave us a loaf of sweet bread but nobody likes it. Croissant sandwich was as flat as a pancake by the time we got it home-why not package it like everything else? Omelet was ok-looked nothing like the pictures. Skimpy on the pancake toppings. We did like the bread pudding sauce but the experience was so bad we are done with kneaders.

I like Kneaders with its fast-casual, fresh offerings, but I do think it's overpriced. This location has more to offer than the City Creek one, at least right now. I'm most concerned about all the single-use plastic. Even though I got my food to stay, they brought my dessert in a plastic container. I could have gotten my own if I needed it. And also, the petite cakes are wrapped in a hard plastic strip. Years ago, these cakes were slices or cupcakes instead, without the wasteful plastic. I don't know why they downgraded the format.

I love kneaders, and generally even when the lines are long the wait is usually worth it but today, not so much! I dashed in to get three meals “to go /take out” and was so very, very disappointed! My salad was filled with disgusting, gross, appalling, lettuce. I felt like they had chopped off the end of the head of roman lettuce (which should be tossed in the garbage can) and stuck it in my bowl. It wasn’t fresh, it looked horrible and after only a few bits it was tossed in the garbage. Those that were with me as we ate kept saying, “I’m so sorry, that looks awful”. The lettuce was one thing, but was even more disappointing, there was not even a fork full of turkey meat, I kept searching in the lettuce in hopes of finding wonderful, moist turkey, without success. There were exactly three tomatoes on the Turkey Bacon Avocado Salad. The second salad I purchased was the Turkey Cranberry Sunflower. I gave that to my daughter in law since it looked a little bit better on top but the bottom, looked like the same gross romaine lettuce. She at least had a bit more turkey than I ended up with. Extremely disheartening and absolutely inadequate!

Service was very friendly. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich and it was like a soup. The bread was very soggy and the chicken was way outta proportion. Huge chunk in the middle and that was basically it. I wouldn’t expect this when I’m paying over 15 bucks for a combo.

It's like salt lakes version of Panera. It's interesting how identical it is. The food was good and they had an abundance of sweets & desserts to choose from. Prices were decent. The menu had a pretty good variety to choose from in my opinion. Lots of free parking too.

Used to be good. Went there last night after about a year and they were rude, got the order wrong, and when I tried to tell them about the problem with the food they said that they just substitute ingredients when they are missing something and they hope customers don't notice. Thankfully I wasn't allergic to the substitution. Clean bathroom, mostly clean eating area

Terrible food, wait is ridiculous. Last time I went my sandwich was inedible because the bread was so stale. Because they refunded my ordered I thought I would give them another shot. This time my bread was raw and not baked making it also inedible. The lettuce was black and the avocado was hard. We waited for 30 minutes in the drive thru for two sandwiches. It’s not even worth it to get a refund at this point. They will not be getting another dollar of mine.

After my experience at this location tonight, I wanted to warn other people. Drove through the drive-thru for soup and the total waiting time from joining the queue to driving off with my food was about 40 minutes. There were 2 cars ahead of me and you’d think each car had ordered the entire menu. When we pulled up, we waited at the window for 5 10 minutes to have someone acknowledge us. Tried to rationalize that they were probably really busy inside (even though there always seems to be a long wait for this location), but saw there had only been four customers inside eating. Unbelievable. Normally I’d shrug it off as a bad experience, but 40 minutes is a completely baffling time to wait in line. Wish management would correct this! On a positive note, the soup was good lol

Ordered online. Order was to be ready at 5:48 p.m. Order was not ready till 6:06. Got home and we got small soups and we ordered and paid for quarts size. We ordered and paid for a loaf of bread but did not get it. Called and was told it would be ready in 10 minutes. Drive back 10 minutes and waited 5 minutes for them to get it going. While waiting I also asked for two lemonade and was honestly surprised they charged me for the self-serve drinks since I had to drive back, wait, and drive back home, like 25-30 minutes out of my evening after having driven there once already (40 minutes). I understand being short staffed, but come on, read the printed order and put it in the bag. And don’t say it will be ready in 10 minutes if it will really be 30 minutes. BTW, the food pretty good, not bad. I’m starting to realize that customer service is sub par everywhere. The problem is simply that most employees don’t care, and management does not care enough to educate and train the staff.

Sitting here at Kneaders at 11:00am to pick up my order I was scheduled to pick up at 10:30 pm. Order is not even started, lost my order I had called in and paid for the night before. No apology, just we will get them started. I have people at work waiting for lunch. Not a happier camper right now . And the order is wrong. Way to go Kneaders. That $300.00 a month in business you have been getting from me. Today is the last one. Food may be good, service so poor, can’t be counted on. 🙁

Do NOT do curbside pickup- they will NOT bring it out. You WILL have to go inside to get it. Use the drive through instead. Ordered curbside pickup. Arrived at the advertised time my food was stated to be ready. The signs say to text upon arrival, and after texting- the text prompt stated my food would be right out. 3 minutes later another car pulled up to the curbside pickup spot next to me. We waited for nearly 20 minutes, all while servers were walking outside to bring food to people dining outside. So each time I thought, surely we must be next? Nope. Tried to give the benefit of the doubt, maybe they were busy…. But…. Customers going in and out getting food. A revolving door of Drive through customers having zero issues getting their food. A 3rd customer pulled up in the curbside pickup spot, however they didn’t wait- they immediately exited their car, walked into Kneaders, then 30 seconds later returned to their car and walked away. That customer must know that nobody comes outside to bring curbside orders. The car waiting next to me decided to go in after seeing the 3rd pickup order person do this. She was also out quickly with her food. They told me the servers claimed they were too busy to bring food out. She was very upset that her food had just been sitting out all this time and was cold, zero communication about it- she told them they should take their curbside pickup signs down if they won’t bother doing curbside pickup. Neither of us were notified that NOBODY would be bothering to bring out our curbside pickup order. I walked in to get my order and zero apology, she just gestured over to a rack and said “oh it must be over there” so it was all a plan to never bring it out period. A half hour had passed from the time I text I had arrived, breakfast time was finished at this point so I couldn’t get a new order of food made. Zero communication that I would need to go get my own food. I could have gone through the drive through multiple times successfully. Terrible service and they should not offer curbside pickup. **Edit to say absolutely nobody from Kneaders has reached out to me after contacting them, don't be fooled by their response below to make things right.

I don't normally leave a bad review and maybe they were having an off night but someone needs to tell the staff members to not serve rock hard avocados, and to tell customers when they are out of ingredients or menu items. Ordered a berry PECAN salad and it came with no pecans. The best part was missing:( It was a to-go order so I didn't notice till we got home and so I called and they said they were out. My partner's salad had rock hard (not exaggerating, wish I was) avocados. You can't service food that's not fresh/ripe. You'd think that would be a standard at a restaurant. Don't add them at all and tell the customer next time. This place was just overpriced for what we paid for. We wanted quality ingredients for a higher price and they didn't deliver tonight. I'm pregnant so if this seems overreaching just know I got cravings and expectations and that's ok.

I waited 30 minutes for an online order. I understand the pick up time was during rush hour I have worked in the food industry before and I understand it can be overwhelming but still. This is the 3rd time that they have done this and I love kneaders but lately it hasn’t been the greatest experience for me. I customized two items and they did both wrong. One of them I removed the cashews from the salad because I am allergic and they still put them on. I gave it to someone else to enjoy because I didn’t want to go back and wait another 30 minutes.

Came here to eat in for breakfast. We were the only people who came in when we did, the lady at the counter took my order. Another lady came in with a pick up order and her very large order was not ready- they hadn’t even started it. After 20 minutes of waiting, we did not receive our order- not even our coffees- so my husband went to the counter and the workers were literally ignoring him and one even covered their ears to show she wasn’t listening and yelled that she was making sandwiches. We were at least wanting the kids breakfast order for our kids to eat. The staff was so rude and passive aggressive. We had to wait an additional 10 minutes before someone could give us our money back. They kept the drive through going. Will not be returning.

I’m not sure what happened to this Kneaders location- but it isn’t what it used to be. The past handful of times I have gone I’ve been extremely disappointed. The sandwiches are poorly made (basically no meat or avocado), and the tuna sandwich I got today was so dry- it was not even worth eating. Not to mention, it’s extremely expensive. Not sure if they are under new management, or if they just need to train employees better- but I wouldn’t recommend eating at this location.

This is literally the worst Kneaders I’ve ever been to. Each time I try to give this location another shot, something invariably goes wrong. If you’re going through the drive through, expect to wait 20-30 minutes. Also in the drive through, each pastry I’ve ever gotten has been smashed (which doesn’t affect taste… but still). On one occasion, a brownie I ordered was definitely not cooked completely (I know they’re usually kind of gooey, but this one was not cooked nearly enough and was soupy and basically poured into a to-go box). Soups ordered have been nothing but the broth. Today was my final straw - this morning, I ordered two whole pies for delayed pickup, only to arrive in store this evening for pickup to learn they didn’t have either as a whole pie, and only had slices available. I’d already paid for them, and didn’t want other options they offered that they had as whole pies… which is exactly why I’d ordered early in the morning to avoid my favorites from selling out. Customer service is horrible, food is usually decent but you’ll get the dregs here or it’ll be smushed into containers. I love Kneaders but am so disappointed in this location, and it’s unfortunately the closest to me.

They never have anything in stock when I try to eat here. We love the raspberry cream cheese pie and the German chocolate brownies but about 60% of the time they don’t have them. they won’t let you call the store directly so you don’t even know what they have until you drive all the way there to be disappointed. The drive thru line is incredibly slow. Kneaders- why do you make it so hard for me to give you money?! I would come more often if you solved this.

I've visited Kneaders a few times at various locations. The most recent trip was at the Bountiful location, for a later evening dessert (~7:30 p.m.) with my wife. The location was listed as being open at least until 9, but when we arrived 2/3 of it was prepped for closing. That didn't bother us at all, but we waited more than 10 minutes for a brownie, tart, and hot chocolate, which was brought to us only after I got someone's attention. I was told that they were short staffed, which made me wonder why most of the staff was busy cleaning instead of some waiting on customers. Our food was quickly dropped on the table in a take out container and I was given the wrong brownie. Although it was overall tasty, the edges of the brownie were dry.

Upon arrival Chaylee was horrible with gretting, point of service was just as bad. We ordered a turkey sandwich… I guess they decided to substitute it with canned shredded chicken instead! While dinning-in at 8:30pm Chaylee decided to close up shop and started slamming chairs one by one on the tables, purposely making the next one lounder than the last, extremely disrespectful! We were planning on getting some pastries after eating dinner, yet we couldn’t as she began to put them away for the night.

Alittle busy. I had their french dip and it was really good. You can tell the difference in quality when the bread is fresh.

Just picked up an order through the drive-thru. I ordered a Turkey bacon avocado salad ( with extra avocado which they said was $1.00 extra). Got home - there was zero bacon on the salad. One tiny slice of avocado and 2 pieces of turkey!!! Lots of lettuce. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT! Cross this one off the list for sure!

Just left Kneaders without completing my order in the drive through. Pulled up and nobody greeted me to take my order for over two minutes until I asked if anyone was there. Some woman promptly said to hold on. Thinking maybe she’s having a rough moment, I let it go and she left her microphone on while she’s having conversations with her coworkers and her other customers. She then asked me what I want to which I then asked I for a smoothie. She started talking to someone else as I’m speaking and then says hold on again. By this time it had been over five minutes of me, sitting in the drive-through and I was not in the mood to continue waiting for her to tell me to hold on more times. Not great service. This place has gone downhill.

I have never written a negative review on google, but i have had too many bad experiences here. I used to go weekly to get oatmeal. A few months ago I got the oatmeal with berries. I got home and the berries had mold all over them. I took it back, and the cashier acted like she didn’t care. It wasn’t a huge deal, I know people have bad days. It took me a while but I went back and found out they had overnight oats. They were great! I got them a couple of times. I went last week to get tomato soup for dinner, got home and it was cold. Super frustrating. I should have known better, but I went Tuesday morning to get the overnight oats. They didn’t have any. Once again, I know things happen. Well this morning I called ahead of time and asked if they had any. The lady said she would check. She came back to the phone and said “yes we do, you just have to get them before 11:00.” It took me 5 minutes to get there, and I ordered them. The lady said she needed to see if they had some. Well, she came back and said they didn’t have any. I let her know I had just called, and she said “Oh well I just double checked and we don’t.” I have tried over and over again to get food hoping I will have a better experience, and today was the last time.

This Kneaders is the worst I’ve been to. I’m sorry but the manager needs to hire some better employees. I’ve had countless bad experiences in the last few years going here and it was time for a review. First of all, whenever I come here it takes soo long to get my order. Even if there was only 1 person in front of me. One time it took nearly 20 minutes and we didn’t even have a line. Second recurrent problem.. getting orders wrong. Has happened several times. Also wrong - how they just slap together a sandwich with hardly anything in it and you’re paying an arm and a leg. This was my half veggie sandwich I got this week which was missing toppings and poorly made. Over $7 for a half sandwich with a few things slapped together and comes with nothing? Frustrating.

For the prices they charge you, the quality and service are extremely questionable. They seem to always be out of food, but instead of being up front with you, they just hand you what they do have and hope you don’t notice. One day the kids meal didn’t have the cookie, I asked them about it and they had run out of kids cookies. I asked if they could replace it and they said they ran out of what they usually replace it but finally gave me another cookie - rather begrudgingly. In the same order, I had ordered a side of mac and cheese, used a free promotion on the app and they had run out. They told me to come back the next day, and they were still out of it. Then I ordered a salad. Now we have to order the protein separately. Paid $2.00 extra for chicken and I was given 3 tiny pieces and a few crumbles. I had to dig through the salad to see if there was a mistake but that’s all that was in there. If you don’t have enough, be honest and don’t charge me! Included a pic of the measly portion of chicken I got. Probably won’t be going back to this location anytime soon.

We were visiting Utah from out of state (where there are no Kneaders close by ) and the whole family was excited for the all you can eat French toast. We always come here when we’re in town, and I just have to say that if this was our first experience here, it would’ve been our last. Every staff member we interacted with was rude, and seemed like they were so put out by us asking simple questions. There was no ice in the soda machine, and all of our sodas were flat and warm. We spent $12 on drinks. The French toast was not that great, tasted burnt, and we had to practically saw through them because they were so hard. We are so disappointed in our experience this time around, and hope that if we decide to come back, it will be better.

We waited for 25 min before leaving. The 2 people on front of us were picking up online orders- they had been waiting for 30 min. No employees said a word to us. They looked staffed, lots of people in the kitchen and had a lot of people putting together gift baskets. Working the drive through, but nobody would take our order. It was such an odd experience.

  • 3/5 Brenda P. 1 year ago on Google
The food here was pretty good. I had the avocado veggie sandwich, but everything was a little clumped together, so I had to spread the fillings around myself. There wasn’t any ice in the soda machine, and the table and bench we sat at was pretty sticky and could use some cleaning. Either they’re too busy to take care of the dine in area, or it’s just not a priority. As with a lot of places, it was pretty chilly inside. Sometimes restaurants have the ac running just a bit too high in the summer. Plan accordingly if you get cold easily.

43 years as a vegetarian unless forced fed meat because of sloppy sandwich maker who leaves pieces of meat all over the outside of the bread.

Breakfast sandwich was okay. All-you-can-eat French toast were good. Service was decent. Made it through the line fairly quick and the food didn’t take too long. Restaurant and restrooms were clean.

I like that they make it easy. I have a hard time deciding on good food so I asked the employees what their favorite food is. I have never been disappointed in the food quality. My favorite thing is the cookies.
