Abysmal service. Can only book appointment by phone at a certain time ??? Then its permanently engaged??? Receptionists must take it off the hook. You could die before this practice would actually respond or actually treat you..... tried to book an appointment.... no point... call after 8.30 -9am permanently engaged... eventually answered to be told no appointments available due to unemployed people taking all appointments to help with their false disability claims... absolute joke ... This surgery is not fit for purpose... 2 weeks ago they cancelled my COPD review because of staff shortage. An hour later phoned to do my review over phone...?!? How can you do a spirometry test over the phone... then they want to prescribe without even seeing the person... this surgery is in with the pharmaceutical companies to just make money... its not about the health... abysmal service... as for the receptionists.... well... no comment

If you want treatment or diagnosis and get an appointment with Dr. Rose, don't bother. Very dismissive, after I'd been specifically instructed by an emergency GP to book an appointment and given an inhaler/steroids following an allergic reaction/asthma attack. Said he couldn't do anything if I wasn't presenting symptoms at the time of the appointment and recommended taking anti-histamines every day, which I was already taking for hayfever, for the rest of my life. Guess I'll use my psychic powers to predict the next attack (presuming it's at a convenient time for an appointment) and book one for then. This happened five and a half years ago, but as I decided to go to the doctor's about it recently and got a diagnosis and prescription within three weeks, thought it was pertinent to review them as I'm sure he's still there.

Impossibly complicated system of phoning ( if you are prepared long wait) for appt 2 days ahead if available. It's overall very offputting and I guess a lot of people just aren't going to the doctor anymore which is worrying. This practice Tradition of not caring about patients Continues

Shocking. I found it hard to fathom that the doctors at this surgery are qualified to work for the NHS. The doctors seem to care very little about the well-being of the patients - they either dismiss or ignore any symptoms presented to them. Dr Rose doesn't even bother to read the patients medical records before answering any of their concerns - he even lies to the patient to fob them off. I will be making a formal complaint to the NHS regarding this.

my mother is a patient at this practice and honestly it has to be the worst Dr Surgery I’ve ever been to or heard of. If I could rate this a 0 rating I would. On around 6 occasions now I’ve had to wait with her for over 1 hour. The appointment she had today, I had to sit with her and wait for 1hr and 20 minutes before being seen. Once we had been seen finally, she was just getting fobbed off and rushed out of the room. Not acceptable and I wish I could move her to another practice close to me but she’s old and it’s just a stone throw away from her house. The receptionists aren’t very understanding either. Avoid this practice. Just have a look at the reviews, shocking.

Deer Park is definitely a 5 star practice in my opinion. My husband phoned up with such painful swollen ankles that he couldn’t walk and had an appointment with a GP in two hours. Dr Woolley arranged for him to have an urgent blood test two hours later, and then personally chased up the results and phoned him two days later. She phoned rheumatology for advice and got him an urgent appointment only five days after his initial appointment with her. The rheumatologist then arranged to admit my husband to hospital and he is now on the right treatment and hugely better. These are pressured time for GP practices and hospitals but we have only the highest praise for Dr Woolley who really went the extra mile.

Archaic appointment system, can’t get through and when you do they’ll tell you there’s no appointments. Rang from 8.27am to 9am- took 53 call attempts to get through- appointment offered for 3 weeks time. When I asked for a sooner appointment she just said ring again in the morning! Like how??! (This isn’t the first time this has happened- I’m moving my family to a different surgery) there’s a couple of good gps and the rest just fob you off

To put this short and simple. Avoid at all costs, as a male I went to this Dr's about depression+ mental health was told to man up and go for a run, also went with my children told they was all fine and I was wasting time, they was in hospital that night.

I have been registered with this practice for over 15 years.i can not highly recommended them enough. The reception team undertake a highly demanding role very professionally and are friendly and supportive. The nurses are just so super informative and caring.i have not met the cleaners but it is obvious they do an amazing job because everything is sparkling. I have met several of the doctors and have to say every single one has listened..Overall the culture of this practice should be emulatulated in all surgeries.

i have been with this surgery for over 20 years, and i can in part agree with some of the reviews. i have had experiences in the past of receptionists being arrogant and unhelpful but in recent years they have been very good, and polite. i don't think i have had any reason to see a female doctor apart from a locum once who was pleasant enough. Doctors Merry and Rose have always been superb with me, though these days i do avoid Doctor Tao, initially he was superb, so polite and very understanding but after a while i just felt that he saw me as a time waster, it was just his mannerisms towards me, yet it was the surgery asking to see me to review my meds. So whenever i have had the need to see a GP i have tried to avoid Dr Tao but only because i felt uncomfortable. i have had ex work colleagues who say he [Dr Tao] has been brilliant and very caring with their elderly parents. I have not seen a GP now since well before covid, but i have regularly been to the surgery for my elderly Mother-in-law to sort things out, pick up some medical summaries for example for disabled parking badge applications and each time i have been treated with the utmost respect and courtesy. During covid i had one issue and a doctor called me as promised, provided a prescription for some strong pain killers and pointed me towards a self referral body to help me. I have asked for medical advice for my mother in law, reception have got a doctor to call back and help, so i have no issues with this place though i do understand how a few people might feel differently. On the downside their telephone system is not efficient and perhaps needs to be reviewed, updated or better still removed so you get straight through to reception as it is not brilliant, though i have not experienced it anywhere near as bad as some people claim.

Unfortunately this practice is a disgrace!! You call to get an appointment and are told next week but when you don’t accept that of the obnoxious receptionist you manage to get an appointment and arrive over ten mins before to be then waiting half n hour after your appointment in the waiting area. Yet if you’re late they refuse to see you. After reading all the negative reviews I’m surprised as a business they don’t take feedback in to consideration. There is no care, empathy, customer service or any acknowledgment of wanting to help! It’s a stuffy/scruffy place! Shame on them!!

Dr Tao or Dr No compassion, caring or understanding. Very dismissive. Basically did nothing for me. Haven't been to the Doc's in years and this puts you off going at all! Went to the optician (who was concerned and attentive) who have sent a letter to the practise to refer me to QMC. See what happens. Will not be seeing Dr Tao again. The staff seemed ok tho.

Danni( receptionist) is the most professional, ready to listen with an always a real smile. She is a true asset for Deer park. She is truly is a gem and I want to thank her for her kindness. She should be rewarded by the management.
