Bridgeway Practice

Doctor

😠 From my personal experience this GP is the WORST I've ever encounter. Avoid at all cost. The doctors avoid giving medicine and when you go to A&E , hospitals doctors are surprised that our GP has never gave us a medicine. I highly doubt they have trained doctors in this practice. Doctor don't have... People often mention practice, appointment, staff, experience, doctors, time, rude,

From my personal experience this GP is the WORST I've ever encounter. Avoid at all cost. The doctors avoid giving medicine and when you go to A&E , hospitals doctors are surprised that our GP has never gave us a medicine. I highly doubt they have trained doctors in this practice. Doctor don't have clue, and unable to diagnose the problem. When ask for medicine, they always tell you to go any buy medicine from off the counter. If I has to go buy medicine off the counter why would I ever visit you. And the worst of all the Appointment system is Joke, you have to call at 8pm and then 1pm. Otherwise you won't get appointment. This is silly. I wonder you probably see less then 20 patience a day. I am glad, I moved back to my old GP. Never ever in my life, I will ever visit this GP again. And the receptionist, talk about being assertive, they are rude, lack manners and the tone is so sarcastic and annoying. They definitely need a training on how to handle phone calls and customer service.I never encounter them with a smile, always straight face like as if they don't like their job. Again this is my personal experience, but you can try them out by all means and I hope you will remember my review.

I don't like to complain but this practice is being let down by the rude reception team, the GPS and the medical team are brilliant, maybe a change of HOW the reception team treat people is MUCH NEEDED.

I wish I could leave 0 stars I’ve been struggling with health problems for years every time I got to this GP they treat me like I’m less then them , they speak to me like a idiot, they think I’m lying about my illness, I’ve had internal bleeding and they did nothing for me, I begged for them to put a camera down me to see what’s going wrong and why I threw blood up for a few hours, they told me that I look fine and they don’t need to do anything, I’ve shown them my haemoglobin levels jumping around which is very dangerous and they did nothing for me, I’ve been in a constant battle with my health with No GP. They do nothing, my mum has had the same situation so have a lot of my friends, the NHS needs to stop funding or assisting this practice, waste of tax payer money, The GP that dealt with me was speaking to me like I was a idiot, was rude not compassionate, it turned into a playground argument after while, to the point where I stopped and thought if I was dreaming as my experience was that shocking. Poor area with a poor health practice, people in our areas get nothing good, and GP practice is one of them. It’s a shame

Worst GP ever, hard to believe they have real doctors in their staff. When you are lucky enough to get a call back, since hey rarely see you in person, they tend to diagnose you in less than 1 or 2 min, most of the time they will tell you to go the an A&E or the urgent care. Useless, completely useless.

Sadly, the experience my youngest son has had at the Bridgeway Medical Practice was incredibly disappointing and extremely frustrating. The GP was not prepared to offer a Shared Care Arrangement with the private sector nor were they prepared to prescribe anything at all for him in spite of significant need. Fortunately, the practice next door (The Meadows) has had no such qualms and now everything is in place so that he can get the 3 regular drugs he requires on the NHS which is a huge relief.

Called at 8.20 am this morning. Received an appointment with doctor for 10am and a physio appointment for Thursday. Reception staff polite and efficient. Dr Hussein (I think) was wonderful, asked so many questions and explained stuff. I was not hurried and was given an immediate referral. Cannot fault whole experience. Thank you Bridgeway.

Awful Practice.. don't expect them to give u treatment, they just do clinical trials on people..it's always good diagnosing a medical condition but atleast first aid should be given under critical condition..I'm struggling with chil blains it's been a month I approached this practice at the initial stage where I had redness and stiffness on ring finger, twice blood test taken, I didn't get any first aid medicines to heal the pain, now that all fingers in my hand affected and skin starts to peel off, until now they haven't done nothing but blood tests. Another painful thing is they referred me to Rheumatologist.I consulted them at QMC, they clearly stated it's nothing to do with Rheumatology, and asked me to get referral for Dermatologist.. it will another mother to get an appointment with Dermatologist I believe, and I just need wait for my skin to peel off with no medication..

What an absolutely brilliant practice, first class service with such a personal touch. Would recommend to anyone, both Dr Anandappa and Dr Kiran are fantastic and I feel they really listen to you, I never feel rushed and have not a bad word to say about any of the extremely helpful staff there.

Although it has been difficult getting through on the phone, I'm guessing due to it being busier after lockdown, I have managed to get an appointment no problem. Always see Dr Anandappa and he has always been an understanding doctor. Have never had any problems with this surgery.

Friendly staff that go out of their way to help. I have always rang at allocated times and gotten an appointment for the same day without any issues. Dr. Kiran and Dr. Anandappa are both friendly, professional and attentive when it comes to patient care as you would expect. Would recommend the practice to anyone!

I transferred to Bridgeway roughly a year ago now and have not experienced any of the issues mentioned in previous reviews. I have always been able to secure an appointment and have been met with nothing but polite and attentative members of staff. The GP's themselves have always listened have always told me what I needed to hear not necessarily what I wanted to hear while taking their time to explain things. I would definitely recommend this practice.

Best GP experience I've ever had. I moved to the city centre in March 2021, the practice is so friendly and I never struggle to get an appointment. My previous GP had a wait list of over a year for Contraceptive implant removal, at Bridgeway I was able to have an appointment only a week after I had registered!

Stay away! Booking appointment is just bad (need to call at 8 or 1 to get an appointment) but the worst is the doctors themselves. Whatever your condition they will most likely just check your blood pressure and chest and then prescribe you some painkillers. After that they will try to negotiate why they think there is nothing wrong with you. One Receptionist is rude the other is okay, whenever I was calling for an appointment at 8am the phone would hang up (probably because many others where calling at the same time) and the waiting time at each step of the process is at least 15mins.

Unfortunately I have to select at least 1 star before I can post this comment. This practice is not worthy of a star. I understand and appreciate that practices are possibly understaffed and having to deal with a lot of demand and pressure but this cannot be the same excuse being used time and time again. The receptionists at this practice are extremely rude, there is no care nor regard for their patients. I have had argument after argument as they always fail to provide me with an appointment. After arguing they then sigh and then offer an appointment. They have such bad attitude. What is the point of having a GP if we cannot make an appointment with them. Fair enough, they may be booked up however I don’t understand how the receptionists have the nerve to speak to the patients the way they do. My personal opinion is that practices such as these are based in lower class areas consisting of people from all different ethnic backgrounds, some that are fluent in english and some that are not. A lot of patients unfortunately experience the same treatment by these receptionists that treat everybody with the same tone and paint them with the same brush. I believe the staff need to be equipped with better training and really up their attitude. This is mine and my family’s health, I don’t need to be arguing with receptionists to get through to a GP. This is not just one experience by the way, it’s the constant treatment I face with this practice.

Keep booking appointments for a certain hour, the appointment I actually get is at least 40 minutes away from given time, today I had to wait an hour. Not to mention reception staff is very rude and not helpful whatsoever

Absolutely sham of a practice! I’ve recently had to switch to this awful practice having had to move from another area of the city. First I was told I would have to pay £100 for a doctors letter for my employer - and I was not being told why this was when it clearly states in writing these sort of letters cost around £30 - £100 is a big leap! The practice manager was too busy “in a meeting” to talk to me about this. This distressed me and caused me to have a meltdown in the practice and the most of the receptionist didn’t care as they were soon laughing and joking again. I felt spoken down to my a male member of staff who was behind the counter. The doctor then called me and refused to do this letter - even though I was never warned of this beforehand when I specifically asked for what sort of letter I needed. I deal with patients on a daily basis with all sorts of medical conditions and disabilities at my workplace and would never treat them the way I’ve been treated. I have also made an appointment on Thursday with a specific doctor - yet they have now changed the doctor according to the nhs app. I’ve received a voicemail from a staff member trying to advise about something that I need a doctors prescription for as it’s prescription only! What a joke
