Always a favourite spot to walk, and to walk our pooch! She loves it as much as us! Usually lots of friendly walkers there too, which always makes it feel nicer! Beautiful views, especially overlooking Nottingham. Lovely woodland walks with streams when there's rainfall. Lots of lovely routes you can do to keep it interesting! So lucky to have it on our door step! I continue to find new walks too, which is always fun!

Walk our dog here all the time. Great views looking out over Colwick towards the lakes. Lots of paths through the woods which is great in the summer to keep the dog in the shade. Beautiful nature reserve but spoilt occasionally by people who have no control over their dogs off the lead and sometimes local youths who take quad bikes there which are not allowed. Also as per usual tramps who want dogs but not the responsibility of cleaning up after them even though there are bins provided.

Wonderful place for a dog walk. Lovely trails through the woods and large open green spaces and amazing views. My dog was looking forward to paddling in the streams, but there was no water to be found. I guess he will have to wait until the fall or winter for the streams and ponds to return. Nevertheless a great place for him to explore and me to be in nature so close to the centre of Nottingham.

My oh my what a wonderful place this is. Firstly, getting there is not the easiest as you have to drive through Nottingham. Never knew a city can have so many tramp and bus lanes 🙈 nonetheless Google took us there. I was a bit sceptical at first as from the main road it doesn't look like much, but oh well we thought we'd give it a go since we drove to it. And I am sooooooo glad we did. This place is like an amazingness waiting to be absorbed. It has massive well kept fields which have stunning views over the city. Even though there were lots of people you felt like you're alone as it is very big. To the left side of these fields and further up there is a woodlandy area with footpath clearly signposted. No livestock around so you can let your doggies have a bit of a run about. Further down there is a signpost for a bridleway but we did not see where this is so not sure. I am in awe about this place. We are definitely visiting again.

Nice little woods for a walk and contact with nature, not far from the city. Perfect for picnics with friends, family or to meet local people. Good way to share food and time in community. Playground for small children. Small football pit for all ages. Teenagers will get entertained, enjoy some fresh air and maybe make some new friends. Waterway for a bit of contact with water. If you come post rain day the sound of it will really comfort and amaze you and especially the little ones. Good place for a hearing exercise and mindfulness. Be present there and you’ll be surprised by the diversity of sounds. A symphony of birds. Lots of trees and logs for climbing. Or pick up sticks to make your own den. Different pathways to enjoy a short or a long walk, it can be with mud and all kinds of obstacles to enrich your experience. Friendly people to chat about the area. And much more.

I've lived in Nottingham all my life, but thanks to my son Rick and his dog Dillon have only just discovered this place. The views are spectacular, the area grassland, tree copses and hedgerows. Its on a bus route (no.43) and there's a cafe, with a feeding station frequented by Nuthatches , Jays among others. Another haven in the city.
