This is quite possibly the WORST doctors surgery around. One of the doctors is AWFUL and just fobs people off, the other doctor you can’t get hold of because everyone wants her. Reception staff are incredibly rude and ignorant. I rang up for an appointment, get fobbed off with antibiotics after a 45 SECOND PHONE CALL, with no questions asked, I ring back a week later and they say the doctor will ring me and they NEVER did!!! All they do is neglect patients, only good thing about this practise is dr Sharon, the other doctor... I have no words, just horrendous. I don’t know how the surgery is still open to be honest, negligence and ignorance is the best way to describe Bakersfield medical centre, avoid at all costs!!! I’ll definitely be moving within the next few weeks to get better care ! Deserves 0 stars but unfortunately I have to give 1 to give a review

This is a disgrace of a medical centre. There is no care involved what so ever. Every patient is just a number. Whilst sat in the waiting room for only 15 minutes it was apparent there is no confidentiality at this surgery. I heard the receptionist repeating personal information very loudly so that everyone in the waiting area could hear. I now know the names, addresses, DOBs and reason for calling for 3 different patients. This is very sensitive information and definitely should not be available to others. They need to look into this asap.

I only award 2 stars because although I get appointments quickly, I do not like like the main GP. He's not a nice person. There has been and currently there is a good locum working with him there. I have had better and satisfactory service from them. If it hadn't been for them I'd have registered with a different GP at a different practice.

My parents and many other family members have been registered with this practice for as long as I can remember. Unfortunately, it has come to light Dr Mehat and his daughter-in-law Dr Sharon do not hold back when it comes to religious discrimination. A simple telephone conversation can really bring out the real abhorrence both have towards a whole community. I'd like to see how they wiggle their way out this one. I will be taking this to the GMC and any other regulatory body to investigate the allegations especially when its targeting a specific religious group, actually targeting any race or religion is out of order when you are so called 'professionals'.

Honestly what a headache to even get an appointment let alone the right treatment. I have had on going issues during my pregnancy and all I have to face is rude staff on the phone and to wait 2 days for a phone consultation which doesn’t resolve anything. With the severity of the issue it is quiet worrying the surgery has not been closed down due to its unprofessionalism snd negligence of patience care!

Very rude practice manager. She was taking calls & was very rude & abrupt in her manner from the start of the conversation making assumptions & then continued to say 'you are not just speaking to a normal receptionist I am the practice manager!' As I was adamant in what i wanted, she put the phone down on me! No wonder the surgery doesn't have many high recommendations, probably the practice manager pushing her targets. Dr Sharon is a really caring & sympathetic doctor who listens, with Dr Mehat however, it feels like he just wants to finish the consultation quickly & get rid you. I have been very disappointed in general with this surgery & will be moving else where.

If worst GP practices was in the olympics these clowns would win gold! “Dr” mehat fobs you off after 20 second call, we’ve had numerous bad experiences and finally moved to the windmill practice. Avoid this practice like you would avoid a snake or serpent. Just Google Dr. Mehat Nottingham- naughty! Naughty!

It’s hard to ever get to see her as everyone wants to see her. Avoid doctor mehat at all cost! Prescribed me zoplicone sleeping tablets for 3 years and now I’m addicted to them. Your not suppose to have them longer than 2 weeks!! Stay away from this practice. GOOGLE HIM

Useless reception people won't give appointments for a doctor and they nothing we can do doctor gives prescription without checking you

Sorry to say I always thought this was a good practice. Diabetes has altered just had a blood test. No mention of seeing a doctor or diabetic nurse. Asked in middle of September can I book in for a flu jab, told to asked end of September. Asked again 2nd October, told to wait and ask in another two weeks. Receptionist very rude. Who does she think she is? Got diabetes almost 60 thought I was a priority. Obviously a great medical centre, pity the staff are not.

Dr Balvinder Singh Mehat is worst Dr i have ever seen . No respect for patients. Even very rude behaviour towards kids as well. racist man. Always taunting.

I rang monday to make appointment to see doctor because i had really bad headache and ear infection and pain reception said mehat will call back been home all day waiting for him to call me back till at 4pm i called to find out whats going on told will call b4 6pm. Didn't heard anything at ll so i rang back Tuesday day reception said mehat want blood samples so he need to book me in for next week Monday.i asked reception why haven't no one rang and told me he had no answer and what about pain and infection i got do i have to wait for another week to see doctor he said yes well that's taking piss mehat need to shut down

Awful surgery, run down… the receptionist think they are the doctors so unmannered! Transferred myself elsewhere should have done this months back! You receptionist should be working for call centres not dr surgeries!

I would like to say thanks for all the receptionist, nurses and doctors. For all the care that my mum (Mrs Joyce Ross) has received over this last week. I think you all have all gone above and Beyond to look after her care and once again would like to thank you all.. for your hard work. Many thanks Jackie want x

The one star is for Dr Sharon or the place would be a new funeral place. They have more doctors and nurse leave than KFC drive through

Avoiding to give appointment, I call them about my chest pain and they advised me to call ambulance, I insist that I need to check my blood pressure as I am taking blood pressure medicine since long time, they disconnect phone. If GPS are NHS it’s need to shut down.

Most poorest health service…Going with the same problem again and again but no response from Dr. And Receptionist..very hard to get the appointment..

We host our Venepuncture courses in the training room at the back of the medical centre, and they couldn’t have been more accommodating for us. The room and clinic is always immaculate, with snacks, sandwiches and unlimited tea and coffee all day. I’m very happy to call Bakersfield home for our courses.
