Clifton Medical Practice

Public medical center

😠 I can not stress how poor the booking system is. Call at 8am. Listen to a man waffle. Press 4. I'm sorry due to high demand we can't put you through. Every time I try the doctors it's the same over and over. Would give 0 stars if I could. People often mention doctors, appointment, time, practice, call,

Disgusting very uncaring doctors. They don’t listen to your problems. You feel like you have to hurry up and get out of the practice. They tell you they are trying their best. Not true at all. You get no where apart from they tell you to go to the hospital. Total joke. Total utter waste of time. The practice manager tells you if you require an appointment to phone early in the morning. When you do,you don’t get an appointment as promised by the manager. Go elsewhere. Don’t waste your time registering. My father was a patient here before he passed away. He told me by the time you get to see a doctor. You are either better or dead. So true. 0 ratings.

Just bad service. I didn't believe it can be as bad as I have read in other reviews. Been sign up for physio from MOSAIC. I admit I have arrived 15 min late (bike ride to the other side of city). Physio told me he has other customers and he can't see me. So I went buy myself a drink and went back for my bike, the same physio that ment to see patients just finished work and went away with bag on his shoulder! Lazy liar! Just avoid it!

What's the point in having a physiotherapist, when they can't prescribe medication. Seen the therapist a week ago said I needed x-ray but got to get her supervisor to sign it off then will ring me to book x-ray can't prescribe any pain relief, and I'm still waiting to hear.

THE DOCTORS IN THIS SURGURY SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELFS WHY WHEN MOST PLACES HAVE OPENED BACK UP PROPERLY DO THEY REFUSE TO DO SO YOU CANNOT DIAGNOISE AND PRESCRIBE A PERSON OVERT THE PHONE DISGUSTING

We moved to Clifton 5 months ago, and still have problems each month with our repeat pprescriptions. The receptionists are rude and insensitive, shouting out personal details and arguing with us about our medications. Getting an appointment is a joke, the 8am call usually a failure. We will change surgery. Worst surgery ever, deserves ZERO stars.

I find the doctors and nurses and receptionists very friendly and helpful. There are odd occasions when you can't get an appointment but that is understandable with the size of the practice. My family have been with the practice since the practice opened with Dr Noonan many many years there have been alot of changes since then. I did move out of clifton for a time but when I moved back rejoined the practice as it has always served us well.

NOT ALL HEROES WEAR CAPES! Thank you for the service, treatment and support and effective communication you have shown my grandma following me raising issues regarding her treatment and future care and support. I raised several concerns and i can say the Clifton Medical Team have shown me how much they care and how much passion they have for those under they're care and even their job roles. We appreciate and respect you dearly for helping us solve an on going issue and continue to do so. Kind Regards G.Cooper's Grandson :- Sam

They don't do any proactive interventions, ie you will not be asked to come in for the over 50 well man NHS scheme

If it wasn't for these doctors, I'd now no longer be here. I went with a lump in my breast and they rang the Breast Clinic instantly and got me an appointment even though I was only 36 at the time. Due to their fast actions my life was saved. The hospital said another month and I would of been terminal. Most doctors would of put me on strong antibiotics for a cyst for a few weeks at least first. These doctors saved my life. Amazing doctors and I cant ever thank them enough

No problems at all, my waiting time is never long and booking an appointment using the walk in service is good ( You just need to come before 8).

This place is awful with trying to get appointments. Everytime I need to see a doctor I call at 8am like I’m always told and I still can never get through and whenever I do get through the appointments are fully booked. This results in me leaving my house early in the morning to walk to the cornerstone to be there at 8am and book an appointment in person. And I still have been given a late appointment for me to then walk back home to come back again later. Apart from this the doctors I have seen in this place are okay I have no problems with that.

Well I don’t know where to start to be honest number one is receptions. They are actually racist. And awful with people number two all the doctors are racist I’m white by myself. I love everyone black Muslim Indian agent, but people like these in the receptions and the doctors shouldn’t be working in there. This is my experience I feel sorry for these people in there waiting for long to get an appointment ):

As someone with complex medical needs I have to say that 95% of the time I get an appointment for the same day if not in person but a phone call from the dr on emergency call that day who if they think you do need to be seen they will get you seen at the surgery the same day. I know it’s frustrating when you ring at 8am and you are 20th in line just put the phone on loudspeaker and have a cuppa when you get through just be nice explain that even if they haven’t got an appointment you really need to speak to someone explain a little why the girls on reception aren’t being nosy they want to help. I’ve been on their books for 38years now and signing on to their panel when it used to be a little hut building was one of the best decisions that I have ever made.

I feel 1 star would be too harsh, since the doctors and staff here have always been fair and helpful, when you can actually get to see one that is. This review is specifically in relation to the appointment system. On the rare occasion that I have needed to make use of my GP I am always confronted with the same issue. I call at 0800 when the lines open, immediately the system is unable to take any further calls and you are presented with the message 'I'm sorry..blah blah blah.... please call back later' after already listening to the 40 sec COVID message... When I am finally able to connect at 0816 I am told, 'you are in queue position 24'...... By which point, unsurprisingly, there are no appointments left I am curious as to how deprived and poor the health of the local area must be where all appointments for a GP are booked in the first 17 minutes of a day. Unless there is a massive improvement to this system, I can not see my star rating improving.

Probably the most useless experience I've ever had. Inexperienced doctors; waited for 30 mins and the end result was they couldn't help or prescribe any medication. They might as well close this praxis down. I thought doctors, if they even are doctors; could at least get the medication part done. Will change GP most definitely.
