Authentic Italian cuisine, beautiful decor and ambience. Our waitress was so attentive and the whole experience was great from start to finish. High quality ingredients and tasty food! Would definitely recommend and will be visiting again! I think I’ve found my favourite Italian.

At first, I was surprised by the price increase from what was posted online in the past, but oh my goodness this place knows what their worth is because it IS SO DELICIOUS! Can't fault them at all for increasing the price. It's like expecting a Chanel bag to sell at it's old price before it became famous and a luxury brand - c'mon people you gotta give the chef due credit! Moreover, cost of everything is going up - this is known globally. The food is really one of the best italian we've had and you can tell how much they care about the quality. The chef and staff are friendly and will check in to ask if all is good, they also give instructions to delivery guys on how to store or hold the food. The chef came out and shared with us that this is a family business and they all care about the quality of food 👍

I've been in Fogo twice. In my opinion, this is THE BEST Italian restaurant in Birmingham. The first time I was here I ordered the spaghetti carbonara, and they were unbelievable. Tonight I ordered the burrata bolognese. Absolutely delicious! One of my friends ordered the calzone, and he loved it. The desserts are also really nice. I especially recommend the Chocolate Souffle. I'll definitely come back!!!

🍕 Fogo Bar & Kitchen, Edgebaston - It was date night Friday and we went to @fogokitchen. We had a great night, amazing food and brilliant service. - @fogokitchen has free parking to the rear, great social distancing, staff wearing masks and very clean. The decor is lovely and the kitchen is a hive of activity with its firewood pizza oven. - We had drinks and three courses of amazing Italian cuisine. We had the Diavolo pizza which had spicy beef and pepperoni plus the grilled lamb chops with potato gratin and vegetables. The taste of the lamb was unbelievable and you could smell the grilling of the chops from a mile away. The potatoes were so creamy and soft, every item was ridiculous in flavour. - If you have not visited @fogokitchen yet then it is a must, definitely in the top 5 restaurants to eat at in Birmingham. 😁 Come on you know you want too. . . . . Bad Food and the worst service I have ever seen in Birmingham.The service was very cold and staff was very unwelcoming. They did not even bothered to ask about the meal .Overall very bad experience, would not recommend esp to asian , as they had differential treatment .

Although this restaurant is not in the best of loaction don't let this put you off. Certainly worth a visit if you have never been. The portion size is decent, food tasted great was piping hot. Service was friendly, the ambience was lovely with the dim lightings would have been better if the candles were lit on all the tables as they were all left unlit! I would definitely visit again, a nice little Italian cuisine restaurant.

Had a fantastic meal at Fogo served by excellent staff and created be a brilliant chef. The food tastes delicious and looks amazing. The decor is lovely, clean and social distanced. There is loads of space between tables and the staff are all wearing masks. We felt very safe and secure. A must visit for anyone who loves good food. Thanks you Fogo 😁

Had a very tasty lunch here. The food is more of a variation on Italian rather than authentic Italian, but the chef is good/inventive enough to pull this off. I’d definitely return.

Really good Italian food, a step above all of the chain restaurants. Well worth the trip.

Warm and cosy, small and imitate place. Cook, waiter and kitchen accessible, if you ask to take peek; as I did. I even took some video. You can see the clay/brick oven where the puzzas are cooked, as the food comes out on the guest's side of the kitchen. The food. Excellent. The other lovely touch was that you can ask for you dishes to be varied/tailored to your taste. I added anchovies to my pizza, to give it that POP. Superb!! We also had cocktails: I had an Espresso Martini. It was a little bit too sweet, with not enough coffee flavour for me. I suspect it was a pre-mixed one. But who am I? Try for yourself 👀. Definitely a place to recommend. You know when a place is good when you can done alone because the food draws you in, regardless of the company you are with. (I saw others there dining alone). Good location too. On the main Hagley Road, with a car park at the back. Great find!!

The food at Fogo was amazing, literally can't fault it! The restaurant is run by a family and the service is outstanding. Iffy, Ash and the whole family were very welcoming and gave us great recommendations on food and wine, would definitely recommend a visit if you're looking for an authentic Italian experience.

We dinned in to give a try as we are Italian food lovers. Everything was delicious, especially the chicken soup. We were so pleased that we continued ordering online, not having the possibility to go in person. The lady manager/ waitress is one of a kind, except being very gentle and with manners she went above and beyond when we called at 10PM a day after I gave birth and ordered two chicken soup. She remembered us from the last time and despite being closed, she made the utmost to deliver the soup. Thanks from the heart!

What can I say about this fantastic restaurant, I cannot praise the staff highly enough for making my 50th birthday the best it could have been! Superb food served perfectly and with style, my group of 10 was looked after superbly throughout the night and every single person was astounded by the quality of the food. Simply one of the best , if not the best place to eat in Birmingham, perfect. 5 stars is not enough!!!

Just wow.... We went here after a recommendation from a friend and glad we did. It is not a big premises so I feel we were very lucky to get a table without a booking and it quickly filled once we got in. It's not cheap, but that's never a problem when the food is great quality. I went for the Lamb and a dish at near £40 for a main needs to be superb and this was, cooked pink and to perfection the lamb, a not insubstantial amount was all perfect, the dauphinoise potatoes were to die for. Everything was cooked to perfection. The two pasta dishes my partner and daughter ordered were of the same quality. Desserts, well, after settling on what we wanted (we wanted them all) we went for the Tirimasu and two of the ice cream dishes, all amazing. If you want a cheap meal, this isn't the place for you, if you want great service, great food and in a wonderful atmosphere then this is the place to come.

Best Italien food in the UK. We have been there already a few times, always for special occasions, and the food was always incredible! The staff is really polite and friendly and the atmosphere is lovely. If you want to treat yourself with real authentic Italian food, this is the place to go!

We were looking for an Italian restaurant while staying at a hotel close by. This was spot on. A small, family run restaurant. A warm welcome, nice ambience and excellent food. This restaurant is not cheap but the food was freshly prepared, good quality and delicious. Great for a special occasion.

Lovely setting, social distancing in place with staff wearing masks. Parking available in the rear of the building. The food was utterly fantastic and well presented. Portions are very generous and you're definitely not leaving hungry in anyway.

I went feom Manchester there for dinner to celebrate my Son's birthday. It is a cozy place run by a family. The host, chef and the team are very welcoming and makes you feel special. The food is authentic Italian. I ordered Polo Pizza and Veg Lasagne with Garlic bread n cheese. The serving size is good for one to 2 persons. All turned out really great. I also ordered a dessert and they made it special for my son by lighting a candle n presenting it to him. It was also yummy. I recommend this place and will return again to enjoy a lovely Italian meal.

Just very average and rather disappointing. Starter was salt and chilli squid which was a non event. Main courses were ok but fish was overcooked carbonara was over sauced. There are better Italians in Birmingham. Would I go back maybe but maybe is not a great recommendation.

Just had our first post lock down meal here, and it was definitely worth the wait! The food and service was amazing. The mushroom risotto was delightful. We will definitely be going again soon! Fantastic little place, would highly recommend and great prices for the food!

Fogo is a nice little Italian restaurant wth friendly staff. The pizzas and pasta are delicious and hot. Price-wise, the mains are about £20 and in today's market, well priced. My only gripe was £4.95 for a small bottle of coke. If it wasn't for that, 5 stars. You should go and experience tasty food but stick to tap water if you're on a budget.

I attended with my daughters to celebrate a birthday. A beautiful restaurant, lovely decor and intimate. The staff were professional and friendly. The food came out of the kitchen promptly and was hot, tasty & fresh. I enjoyed both the starters and main. My steak was cooked to perfection. Really enjoyed the entire vibe, ambiance and food. We had calamari, carbonara, lasagne and tiramisu. The calamari and carbonara were faultless. The lasagne was a sheet of pasta floating around in a bland sauce. The tiramisu was dryer than a desert. Just dry sponge topped with cream and a bit of chocolate sauce. No coffee flavour of any kind or marsala wine which are the hallmarks if a traditional tiramisu. So much potential to be better. I'm just largely disappointed. We ordered via uber eats, it was cold which again was surprising given we're minutes away.

Incredible food by a incredible independent Italian restaurant. Have been here many times over the past few years and they have never failed to impress. Every worker in the restaurant has always delivered a top quality service with customers at their focus. The garlic bread was unreal. The calzone was even better! Full to the brim with toppings. It was so nice, I struggled to finish it but failing to do so was not an option due to the high quality meal.

We chose this restaurant owing to its excellent online reviews however it turned out a sheer dissapointment . Not only the food but service was also below average. For me I am unwilling to go there again.

1st time dining here and such a great experience. Head chef came and spoke to us, nothing was too much bother. Food was delicious, the best meal I have ever had. I will definitely be going again and on a regular basis too.
