Such a fun idea to convert the fire station to accomodation, and the conversion was done so well. Short walk to the beach (stormy when we were there), and into town. Also nice to have the option of laundry downstairs. Comfortable and clean rooms. Highly recommended.

This place is spectacular!! Every detail of the design was carefully planned and executed, which created an exquisite atmosphere. The bead was heavenly and the shower spacious and effective. Even the soap products were wonderful! We enjoyed our short walk to the beach to watch the sunset.

Stunning accommodation in Hokitika. Centrally located. A beautiful restoration of a building with history. Apartments are done up to a very high standard. Spacious, comfortable, luxurious, beautifully appointed. Surely the best accommodation in town. Book it now if you have the chance.

Just a completely charming repurposing of an olde firehouse into a contemporary accommodation that was both comfortable and intimate with antique fire brigade themes and real equipment from the olden times. Highly recommendable~! I especially appreciated the full-service laundromat complete with soap liquid provided, an excellent detail that never fails to impress, especially with giant, oversized washer dryers on standby and Edison lighting LEDs throughout.

Great boutique hotel. Our apartment was v well equiped. Spotlessly clean. In a great location. Easy walk to beach and town. Family friendly. Beautifully designed. Highly recommend.

Amazing place to stay. Spacious modern place with some amazing history added to stay. Everything you need is here. Great value for money. Shared, washing machine, clothes dryer and a small kitchen in your room makes for a comfortable self contained stay. Highly recommended.

Enjoyed our stay here. Interesting history and lots of care and attention has gone into making each room unique yet comfortable. Well set-up for contactless entry/exit, free parking, laundry facilities... Cooking was a tad limited in-room, but the basics were there.

A fabulous place to stay. Everything was perfect. We loved the firehouse modern/ retro decor. We were lucky enough to be in Hokitika for the Driftwood and Sand event on the beach that showcased driftwood artists at their finest. Dinner at the Pioneer Hotel was perfect. It was Sunday with the roast special and live music. Do not miss the Hokitika Gorge while in the area. A bonus for us at the Firehouse was that guests have the use of their washer and dryer for free.

What a gem! Lovely old building with high ceilings. Restored and furnished to a very high standard. Rooms a very classy and comfortable. Excellent ensuite bathroom, great shower. The room has a microwave and toaster if required. Car parking off road and even outside power to juice up your electric vehicle! Loved our stay here and would definitely stay here next time we visited Hokitika

One of the most tastefully decorated accommodation places I've ever stayed at. Really worth the cost and would go out of my way to stay there again. I would give it a 12/10. Inspired 😀

Really nice place to stay with the history of the building as a fire station carrying through in a fun but not over the top way. Our window didn't seem properly weather sealed but I'm sure they'll fix that up

What a beautifully restored fire station! The attention to detail on the finishing touches were amazing. Easy contactless entry and we had everything we needed. A few mins to get to the heart of the town centre. Great spot to stay!

Best place to stay in Hokita. It's an old fire department which gives it a special feel but the inside is brand new and it was super clean. I'm a clean freak so I wipe everything down with alcohol wipes but I didn't at this place!!! That's saying something!!

Really great place to stay, absolutely loved Hokitika!. Great amount of attention to detail in the room, owners definitely did a fantastic job putting this all together in a modern yet historic way. We did find ourselves thinking it was probably built more for 2-4 people (not 6). 1xbathroom, 1xAC unit, not really enough seating in lounge room for 6 people etc. Luckily we stayed as a couple so had plenty of space.

Could not have been happier staying 2 nights here. Super easy entry via the coded doors to our room that was bright and warm...and much bigger than expected. Handy to town and great parking. Samsung TV with streaming services. Fabulous bed that is 10x better than at home! Wonderful bathroom/ensuite. Clearly no expense spared in the fit-out with top notch materials.

Beautifully appointed spacious boutique accommodation. We were so glad we stayed here whilst exploring the area. Attention to detail is worth highlighting. From the sliding shower door to the quality kitchenette. There was even S&P grinders! Keyless entry and free laundry are winning touches.
