Me and my girlfriend have been coming here for 5+ years, we have never had a problem until today. We found a maggot in the take out container of the chicken fried rice. We called and they called us liars so we brought all of our food back up (including the maggot) we received a refund while they laughed at us and stated “if it was in our food it would have been dead while it was cooked” Needless to say, we will NOT be returning and the department of public health has been contacted. Would not recommend.

Chinese takeout is literally my comfort food! I’ve been trying every Chinese restaurant in driving distance of Ankeny to find a place whose dishes are closest to what I grew up on in the DMV area. I have finally found it! The wonton soup is absolutely delicious, the wontons tender but not falling apart with perfectly seasoned filling and the broth is so perfect that I drank it all! The Hunan chicken had perfect combination of sliced chicken and slightly spicy sauce. I also ordered the pork fried rice which again was just perfect with pieces of roasted pork the way I love it. I am so so glad that I found this gem of a restaurant (:

BEST FOR CARRYOUT - Tried a new place tonight in Grimes, after some furniture shopping, but a power outage in the Boone area meant we weren’t sure we could dine around there. So, we headed back towards home and decided to try out Asian Cuisine in Grimes. This is definitely a 99% carry out business establishment. I’m guessing they don’t have too many dine in customers, but we very much enjoyed our meals. We’ll enjoy it even more next time as a carry out. Black pepper chicken – a little sweet for our taste, but flavor was still plentiful. If we ever got this again, we would order it with no sugar. Right amount of spice and sass. No jalapeños though, as advertised, but the spice was still great. Seafood combination was also very tasty. We ordered it spicy and the spice level did not disappoint. Didn’t burn our faces off, but had some nice heat. All entrées come with one vegetable eggroll, one crabmeat rangoon. CR’s were a little sweet for our taste, but the eggrolls were good. Chicken wing appetizer had great flavor, but were incredibly overcooked. We still tried them, and we both agree these would have been amazing if fried a minute less. If you ask for some on the side, they have an extra spicy chili oil, which has a great flavor and provides plenty of extra heat! 🌶️ 🔥 Dine-in green tea is not worth it, IMO. Everything dine-in is served on paper plates with super cheap plasticware (I broke my fork stabbing broccoli), hence why I think it’s mostly a carry out joint. Water came as one regular 8oz bottle of water with two small paper cups (like the little cups at the dentist office for mouthwash). Like I said, in 30 minutes we saw several carryouts go out the door, but we were the only diners. Good to note this might be best as carry out, so the next time we are driving nearby this would be a great place to get carry out and take home. I can already see myself with a good movie, and a massive carry out order to keep me company! Leftovers a bonus!! Amazing restaurant! They were very friendly, food was excellent and prices were very fair. Highly recommend this one!

I've gotta say the food here is pretty good! They make what I want even if it's not preferred [like putting the sweet & sour sauce on the chicken/pork to go orders as it can get slightly mushy but we like it that way.....all soaked in!] I've always found them friendly and felt welcome here. Also, the kitchen is right there and its CLEAN!!! I've seen dumpy kitchens but not here and that's good for all of us!

We went to Asian Cuisine in Grimes last night. We were the only people in the restaurant majority of our meal but noticed a lot of take out and phone orders. Food was great my boyfriend said the seasme chicken was one of the best he had. I got the beef and broccoli it was ok I will probably order something else next time. Service was good and food came out fast. Only downside was there wasn't fountain pop just cans. But with two meals, two drinks and appetizers bill was around $28.

Currently the best Chinese food in Grimes! Black pepper chicken was fantastic. Owner and family were so friendly and a pleasure to talk with. We'll definitely be going back.

I tried this place 3 years and was disappointed 2x. My daughter said let try it again. I am happy we did. Rock solid food. This is my new home for Chinese food!!!!

Stopped here for lunch one day, very affordable, service was great and I can gladly say the same for the food. I recommend this place!
