Horrible place to live i wouldn't advise anyone to live here. Zero stars is what they deserve. Parking is the biggest scam office staff is scam artists who do not do their job only interested in how they can scam the tenants. Tenants are getting worst and worst they literally let anyone in. Trashed hallways and lawn, supposed to be buzzed in entry but the doors are always broken, spit on stairs and other disgusting things, constant weed smells. Buena vista is proof that some people dont take pride in where they live. Horrible place and i thank God i got out of there and I'm really sorry for the ones who are still there

I just moved here an already there's a roach problem which I despise those nasty little critters. now keep in mind I ask if there were infestation problem an apparently The person that was going over my paper work with me lied. Don't get me wrong, nice apartment but can't & i won't do the roaches another thing that I don't like is the hallways & carpet reefs of old mold & dirt which makes the apartment smell. They need to put security back on the doors a.s.a.p. this place needs renovations an apparently with the infestation of these roaches. They're not solving the problem, putting a bandage on it an hoping it would go away. But nope" as soon as they spray they wait a couple of days & there back again meaning those pestty little critters. #Renovations#updates#new everything.

Can't comment on the apartment other than where I have been living for around 8 years. I think part of the reason for loss of stars from me and other because there were low quality applicants that got accepted. This isn't a good thing because they are the one that ruin Buena Vista but that totally on them too. Bad people are those that will spoils Buena Vista's image and living condition. If they live in your apartment building, they will liters and brought pet's to dropped feces. Apartment took a strong stance threatening to evict for pet. I can't says how you can get approve for allowed pet because better pet owners are likely to know how to do it. Few months ago, one of them vandalize the laundry machine room. While they might not be happy with Buena Vista, taking it out on the laundry room is a low blow and will hurts the community. In other incident, one try to kick down the door. A police came to my door the other day too but left for false alarm. Last 2 Summer, one police did a bullhorn with full urban gear to tell resident to stand down probably for potential shooting. This doesn't happen always. Rent A Cop service have been lacking obviously. If people are angry, they shouldn't kick or break people's apartment. Period. They should never been allows in the apartment in the first place. Maintenance people crew run a tight ship. They don't show up on time and will make excuse. One time, a toilet was clogged. They came in with a rotor. It was a simple clog that could have been work on myself but that my fault. Their rotor left a mark in the toilet. The sink's drain will break, and their solution is a rubber plug. This is not a proper solution as toothbrush and objects can fall in the sink. It took a year to convince them to replace A/C. If your A/C stopped giving cold air, do not expect them to replace the Freon chemical. They will give excuse and eventually submit to replacing it. At one time, they said that I have to replace it because it is consider "luxury or (something to discredit your needs". Don't believe a word. Apartment have Central A/C and Townhome have in-wall A/C, I can't says which one are better. If you are in a Summer time, you have to have running A/C and pedestal fan not the cheap box fan. Regardless of the loss of stars, I cannot says I cannot return to Buena Vista because when you are poor, you cannot afford Elgin's outrageous rental value no thanks to politician's raised property tax. Elgin went down hill and would suggest that people should look into moving to Rockford. If anybody living in Elgin that isn't living in rental assistance living, you either have a well paying salary or have asset to sustain Elgin's rental value. Poor people can no longer afford Elgin dues to lack of community support.

The plumbing is horrible in the apartments the toilets are always stopped up and over flowing onto the floors and carpet. They don't clean the carpet for you so it just smells really bad all the time

Any! updates on the apartments and townhomes. looks like the townhomes are outdated. and is there really! an infestation problem in the apartments and townhomes I've recently applied for the townhomes.

It has now been almost 7 years since I left this place and because of them I can't catch a break with other renters .. I was scammed and evicted poorly .. back in 2015 our property manager Patty supposedly was fired for embezzlement I was told by barb and several other people to keep paying the rent I was paying until they can figure out the manager situation I did that months later the new property manager April comes and out of no where stating I owe thousands of dollars ..April then said that compliance would allow me to pay 1000 up front and do a payment plan I signed the contract .. come that Friday when it was time to pay I get a knock at the door 430 am stating I have to go to court .. when I spoke to her a few hours later she states oh I forgot to tell you compliance is requesting all individuals who have back rent from the incident needs to pay all up front or face eviction I called prairie state and they said if I wouldn't of signed the contract they could of helped me .. I wish I could get this off my background ..smh becareful I wouldn't sign anything without a lawyer and make sure you pay attention ..

Townhomes and apartments on Fleetwood are horrible mice and roaches and they do not fix anything when asked or called in for work order no go!

Well. It use to be a nice place to live but.now there nothing it run down roaches all in the apt building.and and mole and lots of snuck racoon and.it has just went down sunm lords
