Heartbreaking experience. I was on my way, keep in mind I have twin newborns and a 3 year old. 3 year old was in desperate need of a haircut. I was going to be late. They called me and here's the phone convo. Kidsnips- you have a 10:30 appointment Me (right away)- I'm so sorry I'm on my way, I'll be there in 3 minutes (3 minutes late) Kidsnips- ok bye (hangs up) I got there, unloaded all three kids. Two carseats for the newborns and my 3 year old was helping me. He held my hand and we walked into the store. And here's how that conversation went. Receptionist- is it under (my first name)? Me - yes Receptionist - well the next appointment is almost here, we book every 15 minutes so we won't be able to do his hair. Unless you want to wait. Me- ok when's the next opening? Receptionist - an hour Me- oh OK wish you could have told me that over the phone. Receptionist - you said 3 minutes, it was 6. Me- oh my God. (Walks out) If only she understood kids and the fact that 3 minutes was me unloading my kids to enter the store. Or if she was considerate and told me "probably best if you're going to be more later to reschedule because of our 15 minute policy" maybe, educate me about it over the phone before I go through all of that trouble only to be turned away with my two babies and toddler. Walking out my son was sweet and again helped me open the door. Then my 3 year old asked, "why am I not getting my haircut". How do I explain that to him? Worst part was she wasn't even nice about turning me away. Any ounce of kindness, NOPE. I get it, I was late. It's hard with newborns. My mistake. But seriously, to talk like that while staring at her computer screen and not have an ounce of compassion. Horrible service. Telling everyone I know and my mom groups about this service. Definitely don't recommend. Can't imagine if that's how they treated me how they treat kids. Consider explaining the policy over the phone if you're going to call anyways.

We did our son (23 month) haircut here with stylist Kim. It’s the first time in his 4 haircuts he never cried. We love kidsnips used to go to Naperville previously and first time visiting barrington location. Kim was amazing. My son was smiling all the time seeing her and he felt so comfortable. Will do with Kim again.

The only place I recommend for haircuts for kids. The haircuts are always performed really fast and to perfection. All the hair stylists always consult/ask the parents what type of haircut/trim they should do and if it's short/long enough. For us, Maritzja is the best, but all of the ladies working there are wonderful and have lots of patience. My boys love having haircuts here because they can use a tablet provided by this place. It's a little bit expensive, but it's worth it. Highly recommended!

Absolutely live this place. Ppl are great. Awesome looking inside. Daughter cried a little bit was calmed down right away and they have tablets set up for the kids which was great because I forgot ours at home

The ladies are all so nice. We've had a different stylist each time and each one has been very sweet/kind with our son. Each stylist has made sure to get the cut just right. My son loves to look at the toys all around the shop and gets so excited to pick out a free toy and sucker after each cut. Tried a different haircut place, after coming here for the first one, and it just wasn't the same. Paying a little extra for the kindness, atmosphere and excitement for my son is so worth it!

This is a great place for kids haircut. Our kids were bith 1yr olds so this was their first haircut ever. Mirjeta did a fantastic job on their first haircut. She was very careful, professional and doubled check with us first before she started the haircut. She asked what type of cut we are comfortable with and she made it painless and fun for the infants. Highly recommend Mirjeta especially with infants. Definitely recommend!

We took our son for his first haircut here tonight and Stacy was his hairdresser. I told her what I wanted it to look like, and with my son's hair texture, he has some limitations, so she helped come up with a very handsome style that works for him! The gentleman at the front desk was so friendly and helpful and overall, we had a fantastic experience for our son's first haircut. Highly recommend!

Hands down, the best place to take your kiddo for a haircut! Wendy is absolutely phenomenal! She was so good with our 3 year old, who was extremely apprehensive. She has a very warm and fuzzy personality and is really great with kids! Everyone in the shop is super friendly and you will not be disappointed 😁

My son has autism and haircuts are a freakin nightmare.. I left in tears of joy and how AMAZING that place is!! I almost don’t wanna say her name so I can keep her to us! Lol her name is Mirjeta!! She is absolutely AH-MAZE-NGGGGG!!!!! I won’t ever go anywhere else!

Took my 3 year old daughter here for her first haircut & had such a great experience! Mirjeta was so nice & made sure my daughter was comfortable the whole time. Will definitely be brining her here for all future haircuts!
