Nice hidden gem. Not at all crowded on a 90° Sunday. The water in the swimming area is really shallow, it would be nice if it were a little deeper at the far end, but it's great for kids. There's no bathroom facility (has 1 port-a-potty) so had to ride home in wet swimsuits. The shelter and beach were clean though.

We came here Sunday morning. There is only one porta potty and it was filthy and just completely disgusting. Used bloody tampons everywhere. The water was very warm and there's a fair amount of sand area as well as shaded grassy areas. If there were clean bathrooms available we would return. But after seeing there is not we will not be coming back. Just disgusted. Can't spend a day at the beach with no clean restrooms.

This place is a total hidden gem. Perfect for something fun to do with family and friends, and it's free!

It a good place to pass the time with family great for kids. The water did get a bit dirty at one point but it expected with the amount of people swimming there.

UPDATED July 2022 Came here today to find an attendant on duty checking for ID to prove you were residents of Lake in The Hills. I didn’t know it was supposed to be for residents only, since I don’t see any signs. ORIGINAL REVIEW As newcomers to the area we are checking out local attractions, and this beach on Lake In The Hills seems really well maintained. Clearly cleaned and looked after, it's a very nice quite place to relax.

Overall nice small beach.🙂 3.5 I need to revisit.:)

My kids love this place! No bathrooms so I have to remember my travel potty. The water is ok, not pool clean obviously but, it's so much fun. It's roped off and most people stay within the rope. We go here often.

What a treasure! I've lived in the far west suburbs for 16 years and didn't know about this beach until today. Small swim area and beach, small park with a couple benches. One covered picnc area and a port a potty. Parking lot near beach. Sand wasn't the cleanest, but I didn't see broken glass, just some plastic bits and Cheerios. Even in Covid times, we had plenty of room to social distance.

It's a small, beautiful and good place to hang out. If anyone wants to swim, he can. Water is clean and safe.
