A five star review is simply insufficient for the unbelievably wonderful team at Pikesville. I think I should get to write an additional 5 star review for every year this team has taken unbelievably wonderful care of our animal family. So, based on that, this is actually a fifty-five star review. We've moved twice and where we currently live, there is a vet walking distance from our house. And not even a long walk. But we drive back to where we used to live a decade ago to have the unbelievably wonderful team at Pikesville Animal Hospital care for our dogs and our cat. Their knowledge is exceptional. Their communication is exceptional. The way they treat every animal as unique (because they are) is exceptional. They are exceptional. Full stop.

We have never met more caring, honest doctors in our lives. Dr. Zumpano and Dr. Covert are AMAZING, caring people. You can tell that they really are passionate about what they are doing. I am a special educator of many years and I feel like if I have a gift, if any, it is that I can identify honest, genuine people. Both of them, and the entire staff at Pikesville have been amazing. They know our dog and have been able to diagnose and treat her random, complex issues when other vets have not been successful. Everyone here is so friendly and kind to all the fur babies. Pricing is reasonable, especially compared to other locations. Appointment availability is good and the staff has worked with me to fit in an emergency visit before when my cat was having sudden issues. The facility is also really nice and clean. They. Love. Your. Furbabies!! I love that they always call you the next day to check in on your fur baby (and you! 🥰) I had way more anxiety than my Beau at his neutering and they made sure that he (and I) were both doing okay post-op. My dog received a shot that needed a booster. I made an appointment for the next available appointment to get his booster shot. When I get to there for the booster I was informed that it was beyond the six weeks required so I would have to start over again. It wasn’t my fault that they didn’t have available appointments sooner and they were aware of what his appointment was for. So basically I would have to pay all over again for the first shot and start the process all over again. Basically I just threw money out for no reason for the first shot only to be told I had to start all over again because they didn’t have availability for an appointment sooner

Loved Dr covert I would give five stars except for a disturbing interaction today between my husband and a client care representative who hung up on him. He was calling with more than 24 hours notice per their policy to reschedule our cat's appointments due to a medical appointment conflict. The rep incorrectly stated that we had rescheduled 4 times which is not true this was only the second time due to a medical/disability conflict. He has a communication disability and stated that he needed to talk to me to run it by me the client care representative instead hung up on him. I called back to ask for clarification of the errors they stated when I repeatedly said it was with over 24 hours notice and we did not reschedule 4 times and I could show proof of that in my email confirmations. The rep repeated that it was 4 times per notes but the rep was reading them incorrectly and later stated it was only twice and inconsistently stated policies about rescheduling. As an accommodation under the ADA I asked for these policies and to communicate in writing but I'm disturbed by the lack of clarity and consistency in communication with disabled individuals. Dr Covert and the practice themself were excellent when we took them but communication is inconsistent and not clear or direct with disabled individuals.

I am very grateful to Pikesville Animal Hospital and Dr. Jin Wong. I had to have my little girl Juda put down on 3/4/22. Do to a cancer diagnosis. I had her since she was 6 months and she lived to be 12 years old. Her and I had some great times together! Which I shall cherish in my heart. Dr. Wong and the staff at Pikesville Animal Hospital were very kind. The compassion that was shown to Juda and I was amazing. From her 1st appointment to the end. The service was exceptional. This is a awesome animal hospital very professional and caring. I'm heartbroken at the loss of my girl. But forever grateful to Dr. Wong and Pikesville Animal Hospital. ❤VDJ

I couldn't recommend a better animal hospital in Baltimore if I tried. I've been with this office for five years and two senior dogs. As long as I live in Baltimore, they will be my Vet. It's not just that their quality of care that is amazing, it's the passion everyone of them brings to it. They are truly a gem. A place will you will never have to worry about quality of care and will always feel welcomed. So if you're looking for a place, it's this one.

We are very impressed with how the staff works with our reactive dog, Zoey. They're very understanding of her needs and my needs. The staff and vets are great at explaining everything and willing to answer my questions. I'd highly recommend PAH!

I took my dog Maddy for her annual appointment, and the customer service was outstanding. The doctor was very friendly and complimented Maddy for how healthy she was. The assistant who came out and took Maddy listened to all my requests and issues Maddy was having and told the doctor. The doctor followed up with me with all my issues and gave me information on how to solve some of my concerns. I would highly recommend this vet to anyone!

My dog is in her death bed because all those yearly check ups didn't pick up the growing cancer in her stomach and her failing liver. It was only when she collapsed this morning and brought to the ER that they found all these issues with my dog, now it's too late because the cancer is all over her liver and surgery would bleed her out.

Pikesville Animal Hospital is the greatest. We have been dealing with Dr Zumpano for approximately 20 years. He really cares about your pet. His care is superb. The office staff are all helpful. We recently dealt with his associate Dr Covert and she was awesome. Very caring and competant. We use to live close to his office but have since moved farther away. We travel 45 minutes to get to their office even though there are many vets in the area we live in because we know our cat will get the best care with Dr Zumpano. He takes the time to explain what he is doing and answers all questions clearly. We never feel rushed while at the office as they give you all the time you need. I'd give him 10 stars but this form only allows for 5.

Dr. Hughes is the best! She provides amazing patient care and cares deeply about all of her patients. My cats teeth were in bad shape and they got us on the schedule for a dental promptly. I would give her 10 stars in a heartbeat if it were an option. And shoutout to Inky’s technicians Kaitlyn and Cheryl for taking great care of her from start to finish and Dana for cleaning her yucky teeth. Highly recommend!

Dr. Z, Dr. C, and the entire staff at Pikesville Animal Hospital, are the most professional, skilled, caring and compassionate vets. Ten stars are far too few to describe the most excellent care my shih tzus have received. I often wish my own physicians offered the same level of care both Chloe and Benny have received here. I respect and trust the doctors at Pikesville Animal Hospital, and you will too.

If I could give them 100 stars I would. Top notch staff and doctors. Super friendly. Takes time and talks to you and listens as well. We drove from Potomac and it was well worth the drive. Don’t even get me started on their prices—the best around. Could easily charge double. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOSPITAL.

Pikesville Vet was incredibly supportive & caring for our cat Tux in the last few months of his life. We only have good things to say, and we'd highly recommend them to anyone in the area.

I take all my pets to Pikesville Animal Hospital for compassionate excellent care. My latest adventure with my pug (Igor!!!) was when he vomited in the morning and refused food in the evening. Not a pug thing. They ALWAYS eat. I suspected that he ingested a foreign object. Took him in and voila! There was something in his small intestine. They kept him on IVs and the next day the object appeared in his stool. What was it? Gumby's hand! From a DOG TOY! Thanks to these great care givers, he's back to his crazy, wired, hungry self. :)

I came to this vet from a quick comment made by my friend about switching to them. I didn't know when I made my first appointment years ago that this would be our forever vet. The entire staff is just so lovely, kind, and caring. A few quick call outs - the front desk team (especially Chrissy - what a sweetheart!!!) are always so sweet to talk to and so helpful especially if you have a busy schedule. They're super accommodating and just the best. What can I say about Dr. Tinanoff? She has become our forever vet for sure. She was there for us when we were trying to figure out what was happening with our senior cat and always took her time going over treatment plans and courses of action. She's extremely proactive in our pets health, and is so comforting and kind even during visits where my reactive pup didn't behave. We are SO lucky to have found her and owe a great deal to her. We've had appointments with a few other vets as well - Dr. Covert is just so awesome. Always takes her time with us, is really funny, and keeps it super real, which we love. Dr. Zumpano is always so thorough in our appointments, never rushes us and answers all of our questions. He was so sweet with our senior cat and I am forever grateful. Ashley I, easily one of the most incredible vet techs I have ever had the privilege of knowing, has been nothing short of an angel working with my dog to ease his fright and anxiety over coming to the vet. The love he has for her is so evident every time he sees her (he's seriously obsessed with her) and we are so grateful she is taking the time to work with us to make his time there much more enjoyable. This staff is honestly incredible and I am so lucky that my friend made that quick comment about switching to them. If you are thinking about switching to this vet hospital, 100% do it.

I couldn't be more happy with my experience with Dr. Wong and Kelly at Pikesville Animal Hospital. I needed a second opinion for my 6 year old boxer with some health issues and was suggested Dr. Wong. He was informative and kind. There was some bad news that they had to deliver to me. Dr. Wong took over thirty minutes of his time to call me and answer every question I had. He was patient with me as I ended up crying on the phone with him. The information he was able to provide to me was not only explanatory, it was heartfelt. Kelly was also incredibly sweet. Both these people were so comforting in one of the most devastating times I've had with my pup. I was incredibly at how reasonably prices were at this vet. Pikesville Animal Hospital was worth the 45 minute drive and Dr. Wong will continue to be my vet as long as I am a dog mom. Thank you both for being amazing! I HIGHLY recommend.

Dr Jin Wong is an insensitive, rude and unhelpful. He only cares to add additional cost versus the benefit of treatment of the animal. He is not confident in the information or prescriptions that he provides. After Dr. Wong provided the wrong information about a prescription that was provided to my pet I asked to speak with a different and he refused to allow me to get a 2nd opinion. He advise me to pay another fee to speak with a different doctor after I visited the office 3 weeks ago. Dr Wong advised me to find another vet if I can’t afford him and I did. Randallstown Animal Hospital has given me a great experience so far, the Doctors there gave me so many options at no cost and just willing to help. Much better experience and I’m looking forward to continuing my business there.

I drove about 2 hours to bring my two puppies to this clinic because they offer laparoscopic spays and are very experienced in performing that surgery. They also offer the surgery at a VERY reasonable price. Dr. Covert was the surgeon for my puppies and I was so impressed by her and the rest of the staff. Everyone I spoke with was so friendly, informative, and compassionate and they made an effort to get the pups ready to go as soon as possible since I had a long drive back home. I also really appreciated that Dr. Covert took the time to come outside and speak with us even though they are doing curbside service and a lot of other clinics are just having the doctors call the clients. It meant a lot to actually meet her. This clinic really keeps up with new technologies and makes an effort to make these available and affordable for all of their patients. I’m confident that my pets got the best possible care! I also appreciate that they do cold laser therapy after surgeries which I’m sure helped my pups heal as quickly as they did! Overall, I was so impressed by this facility that I’m considering bringing my dogs here more regularly for their veterinary care despite the distance! Pikesville animal hospital truly has a special and impressive staff, I am so happy I found them!

There are vets closer to us, but we will always drive the extra miles to Pikesville Animal Hospital. The vets - especially Dr. Zumpano - are kind, helpful, and clearly love animals.

Dr. Timanoff takes care of my 10 year old dog. This last visit I couldn’t go, my husband took him. I had questions. Left a message. She graciously took time from her day to call and address my questions personally. They really not only put your pet first but the owner as well

I love this vet office. Everyone at the office loves your pet and cares about you. The vets are awesome. Dr.Z is so compassionate and professional. He spends time listening to the pet owner. He addresses all your concerns no matter how minor or major. You can’t go wrong with any of the doctors at this office. The staff is awesome. If you want a vet office that cares, Pikesville Animal is where you should go.

I attempted to have my pet seen there and they were very nasty on the phone. I received a call back and they said that they could offer me an emergency visit if I brought my cat in the following morning between 8 to 9 Am (today). Hi And when I brought her in they said there was no appointment but put me in a room to get my information. And then some woman came in and said (and not very nicely) that no appointment and leave. No apology except to say that maybe the appointment I made was somewhere else. I don’t think so. No offer to reschedule or see the cat today. If you want rude and absolutely nasty attitude and you are looking for a new vet do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. I did and if anyone asks I will tell them this story. They should be ashamed of the way they treated a paying customer. And my cat will need surgery and X-rays so they LOST. Have an appt with another vet hospital who were very nice and offered me appt tomorrow

The staff at Pikesville Animal Hospital have been so friendly and accommodating over the last few months. With the current vet and vet tech shortage, getting a timely appointment with vets who know and love your pets can be difficult! When I called Monday morning to see if Finley could be fit in this week the staff did their magic and found a time that fit in my preferred vet's schedule (Dr. Covert) the very next day. They even called back 30 minutes later to let me know that an earlier appointment had opened if I'd like to see Dr. Covert then instead. Finley and I really appreciate the timely, knowledgeable, and loving care they provide!

The Vets and Staff at Pikesville Animal Hospital stand out above all others. Years ago Dr Zampano took such great care of my current dog after being told by another vet, they could do nothing for him and I should let him die peacefully. With Dr Zampanos care that dog lived another 5-6 years. I refuse to put my trust when in come to my pets with anyone else. All the vets at PAH are knowledgeable, caring and brilliant Drs.
