What
can
I
say
that
hasn’t
been
said
of
Four
Seasons
Anguilla?
As
a
first
time
visitor
to
Anguilla
itself,
Four
Seasons
seemed
like
a
no
brainer
amongst
the
luxury
hotels
to
choose
from
on
the
island.
Having
stayed
at
other
properties
in
the
brand’s
portfolio
I
felt
fairly
certain
that
the
experience
would
be
on
par,
but
even
still,
the
staff,
service,
design
and
property
itself
at
Four
Seasons
Anguilla
exceeded
every
expectation.
Let’s
start
with
the
design,
which
is
truly
stunning.
The
piece
of
land
that
Four
Seasons
occupies
on
Anguilla,
sprawling
along
two
separate
beaches
—
Barnes
Bay,
a
charming,
rocky
beach
that
feels
almost
hidden
away
on
one
side,
and
Meads
Bay,
with
its
pristine
stretch
of
white
sand
and
translucent
turquoise
water
—
is
doubtless
one
of
the
finest
on
the
island.
Make
no
mistake,
the
official
hotel
photographs
do
not
lie
or
exaggerate.
Those
panoramic
views
of
the
Caribbean
are
just
as
jaw
dropping
in
person
as
you
hope
they
will
be.
The
design
itself,
at
once
grand
and
serene,
imposing
and
inviting,
is
unimpeachably
chic
with
its
mix
of
neutral
stone,
rock
crystal
and
wood.
And
yet
none
of
it
gives
off
a
“look
but
don’t
touch”
kind
of
vibe.
It’s
warm,
and
not
uppity
at
all.
Which
brings
me
to
the
service.
Anyone
familiar
with
Four
Seasons
hotels
has
come
to
know
the
delicate
balance
that
the
company
manages
to
strike
between
the
utmost
in
refined
service
which
truly
lives
up
to
its
five
star
rankings,
and
a
relaxed,
friendly,
not
at
all
fussy
atmosphere
that
feels
inviting
and
—
here’s
that
word
again
—
warm.
That
being
said,
the
level
of
service
and
the
staff
that
has
been
assembled
at
the
Anguilla
location
is
in
a
league
of
its
own.
The
service
was
always
attentive
without
being
obtrusive,
whether
that
was
in
the
restaurants,
at
the
pools,
with
the
concierge
or
in
the
lobby,
and
the
staff
that
we
spent
the
most
time
interacting
with
during
our
stay
were
each
wonderful,
friendly,
helpful
and
truly
lovely.
I’d
like
to
start
first
with
David
JothiPaul,
one
of
the
directors
of
the
hotel.
We
had
the
pleasure
of
meeting
him
as
a
result
of
a
minor
(and
I
do
want
to
stress
MINOR)
hiccup
during
our
stay,
which
David
very
quickly
went
above
and
beyond
to
rectify.
After
that,
he
made
a
point
of
personally
touching
base
with
me
each
day
for
the
remainder
of
our
stay,
which
felt
like
the
sort
of
personal
touch
that
was
once
commonplace
in
the
world
of
luxury
hotels
but
which,
I’m
sure,
isn’t
always
a
given
anymore.
Others
of
note,
in
no
particular
order,
Roxanne
at
the
front
desk,
who
both
welcomed
us
upon
arrival
and
saw
us
off
upon
check-out,
Ricardo
and
PeeWee
at
the
Aleta
pool,
Ernica
at
Salt,
Nicholas
at
valet,
Maxine
our
evening
housekeeper,
Kelvina
and
Tweety,
who
we
met
at
Bamboo
Bar
and
Half
Shell
respectively,
and
Lorenzo,
the
resort’s
director
of
F&B.
And
that
is
by
no
means
a
complete
list
of
every
staff
member
who
assisted
us
during
our
stay.
While
visiting
we
tried
each
of
the
resort’s
dining
options,
all
of
which
were
excellent.
While
dinner
at
Salt
and
Sunset
Lounge
are
a
given
if
you’re
visiting,
make
a
point
of
leaving
your
lounge
chair
at
whichever
pool
you
may
camp
out
at
during
the
day,
and
visit
either
Bamboo
Bar
and
Half
Shell
for
lunch,
the
property’s
two
casual
dining
options.
While
the
idea
of
getting
up
off
of
your
lounge
to
have
lunch
seems
like
sacrilege,
the
food
at
both
are
worth
the
walk,
and
the
views
of
Barnes
Bay
from
the
patio
at
Half
Shell
is
impossible
not
to
fall
in
love
with.
Even
with
the
hotel
being
at
capacity
during
our
stay,
nothing
ever
felt
crowded,
none
of
the
pools
ever
felt
full,
the
beaches
never
felted
packed,
and
the
restaurants
never
felt
anything
less
than
relaxed.
All
in
all,
it
was
an
exceptional
experience,
from
the
concierge
arranging
our
transfers
back
and
forth
from
St
Maarten
to
Anguilla
prior
to
our
arrival,
to
waking
up
each
morning
to
one
of
the
most
gorgeous
views
I
can
imagine.
I’m
so
glad
I
trusted
my
instinct
and
stayed
at
Four
Seasons
Resort
and
Residences
for
my
first
trip
to
Anguilla.
It
will
definitely
not
be
the
last!
